The Complete Third Part of Henry Vi: An Annotated Edition of the Shakespeare Play
()
About this ebook
Donald Richardson
Donald Richardson OAM, a senior practicing artist and retired long-term educator in art, design and art history, has never been satisfied by historic writing in the field. In this book, he summarises and deconstructs key documents and marshals the clamouring desperation of many for redress and restitution. In the process, he proposes innovations for education and practice (in particular relating to perspective rendering and form). More generally, he proposes that the aesthetic be recognised as a sense of universal human relevance and value.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Poor Henry VI, … had at no time even the feeblest shadow of a will of his own
(Asimov, 641). He was a king virtually all of his life without ever having held the power of the kingship for a moment
(Asimov, 677). The play is dominated by the struggle between two powerful military forces, neither of which can achieve victory more than momentarily
(Mowat, xiii). King Henry … is a man caught in the mesh of circumstances and required to exhibit the qualities of leadership, when his only wish was [sic] for contentment and tranquility.
His is a life spent in quiet desperation
(Magill, 1,534)
