TASK 1:
Find 6 images on the internet that have used the rule of thirds. Include the URL of the images that you have used. Try to find a variety of
images eg animals, objects, people, objects, landscapes, etc.

TASK 2:
Find an image on the internet with poor composition. Use Photoshop to crop and improve the image composition. Use the levels and

curve function to further enhance the image.

bottom the picture now uses the rule of thirds.

third vertically and in the middle section of the
horizontal thirds

TASK 3:
Using the standard functions, close-up and landscape, take 3 photos on the school grounds that meet the rule of thirds. take a photo of:

a) an object

b) a person

c) landscapes or architecture.

Briefly discuss how each image meets the rule of thirds.

The Mount Franklin bottle is placed on

the 1st vertical line on the left and the
top of the wall in the back falls on the
top line horizontally

The skyline falls in the top third section

and I am placed on the left line
vertically

The trees are placed to the left of the

frame and the roof falls in the middle
section horizontally

TASK 4: Photoshop skills

Choose you best image from this unit. Add a colour gradient, blend it with a soft blending
mode and add a vignette.
