The organizational structure used on the business is line type. Line type is
simplest form of organizational structure it is easy to understand and implement the
activities and specified goals as the owners are a new entrant, and less complicated in
nature. The authority is travelled downwards from top and the manager has control over
departments affairs. The mariner hotel is a small business firm enough to operate only
one general manager, two persons in front desk for a quick dealing of service offer. The
firm has more rooms so the business needs also a more housekeeping and room
service officers. In food maker 3 staff is enough to make a foods since the business
cannot offer a more menu. Security are two persons for day and night shift and in utility
staff are 8 persons the business firm is 4 storey building so the Utility Staff should be
divided into 2 Staff per floor.

The business will use centralized authority and leadership. Centralized has a unified
control or the general manager will be the responsible for decision making, controlling
all of business transaction and the entire employee.

The employees are the vital resources of the success of the business. The
business need to provide more benefits for retaining and good performance of
employees. In success of Mariner hotel, the company offer various compensations for
employees. The company give employees direct and indirect financial benefits. In direct
benefits it is all about the wages, salaries, commission and bonuses. The company will
give a 100% rate everyday if the employee has their regular work and an additional 25%
for the overtime performed. Every employee is entitled of not less one time off for their
regular meals and one rest day in a week. If the work performed during holiday the
company will be given a 200% rate and additional 30% for the overtime, for the
employee who didnt be able to perform their work because it is the employees rest day,
they will be given a 100% for the regular holiday rate. The company also be given a
bonus every last month of the year its maybe cash or gift certificates. The indirect
benefits are in form of insurance or social Security System, Pag ibig or Philhealth. This
is very useful for the employees and for beneficiaries or for their family, especially in
case of emergencies.

4.5 Recruitment and Selection


After the plan for management aspect which formulated and accepted by the top
management and it is ready for implementation. The recruitment and selection of staff
decide to perform by the general manager. The plan of organization of organization is to
have the objective needs and resource of the organization.

In the recruitment process the business will source internal types of applicants to
the position of general manager, assistant manager, housekeeping, guard and
maintenance. The applicants required to submit the following legal requirements such
as; resume, police clearance, cedula and NBI clearance.
Recruitment and selection goes right the goal is achieved. Also it includes cost so
it should be alone at predetermined cost.

4.6 Training used methods


The firm used on the job as a training method, it can be perform by managers
and trainers, since the firm used on the job training method it will gathering
information in several key areas, you better prepare yourself to create a relevant and
customized training.
4.7 General Policies
1 All Mariner hotel employees should wear there uniform during their working hour
2 Use name plates or employees identification card on duty.
3 Employees should always report for duty on time.
4 Employees should not absent themselves without a very good or valid reason.
5 If a Mariner hotel employee is unable to report for duty, he/she should inform the
head of the department concerned well in advance if possible

5.1 Market Description


The companys primary market will be families and couples and the secondary
market will be those foreign visitors wanting to enjoy their vacation the following are the
segment descriptions.
Family The family is the primary market of the business Mariner hotel it covers the
families in San Jose and maybe in other part of Nueva Ecija.

Couples The segment cover the couples ages at least 19 years old and up the stage
that the couples are responsible and categories as young adult citizen.
Travellers The travellers are the secondary market of the business its covers the
visitors need to stay here in Nueva Ecija for their purpose.
These target market are only primary and secondary not shows all target market
5.2 Demand
Philippines Gross domestic product is expected to rise by 3.8 percent to 490.2
billion according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). Projecting a 4.4%
annual increase in tourist arrivals from year 2010-2030
The demand in hospitality service in the Philippine will explode in the coming
year meaning that the business will have an opportunity to expand. Since Mariner Hotel
is new in hospitality firm the business will assume at least 10% of market share in its
first year of operation the uniqueness of the business will be an advantage for the
competitors over this industry

5.3 Supply
The business will supply the need of our guests by serving hospitality supplies
like bath and bed linens, personal care, amenities, guests room accessories,
housekeeping, supplies, small appliances, furniture, fixtures and any equipment. We
help properties maintain customer satisfaction which Provides food products to the

guest. The properties around from our greater product selection are more efficient in
ordering process and our improved operations.

throw a various activities throughout the year. Although many competitors in the city we
still continue this activities for our valued customers.
