NICE
offer induction between 41 and 42w.
Should be informed that most women will
start labor spontaneously by 42 weeks.
at 38 weeks inform them about membrane
sweep, induction and expectant management.
If a woman choose to avoid induction should be
respected and discuss care from then on.
From 42 weeks, women who decline induction
should be offered increased antenatal monitoring
(at least twice weekly cardiotocography and ultrasound
estimation of maximun amniotic pool depth)
