Course Overview
This course provides an overview of several digital tools that can be used in the classroom to
enhance instruction.

Course Grading Procedures


This course is provided to increase knowledge in the area of technology education. Candidates
will receive professional learning credit hours for this course that will count towards the renewal
of certification.

Course Objectives
1. Teachers will recognize and describe valuable digital tools for educational use.
1A. Teachers will identify 3 digital tools and summarize their use.
1B. Teachers will discuss the similarities and differences of the digital tools with a group
member.
2. Teachers will compare and contrast the diverse digital tools presented.
2A. choose 1 relevant tool, and explain how they will incorporate that digital tool in their
classroom.
3. Teachers will apply the use of these tools in their classrooms.
3A. Teachers will use a digital tool to create a product for use in their classroom.

Standard 5: Professional Learning & Program Evaluation
Candidates demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to conduct needs
assessments, develop technology-based professional learning programs, and design and
implement regular and rigorous program evaluations to assess effectiveness and impact
on student learning.

Candidate Performance Requirements

1. Candidates will require access to a computer or laptop and internet service to


access the course.
2. Candidates will be required to complete a one week online course.
3. Candidates will complete each lesson provided on the course homepage
sequentially and complete the accompanying assessments.
4. Candidates will be expected to communicate with the instructor asynchronously at
least 2 times during the course to check in and acknowledge completion of course.
