SECTION 1: Findings
1. The NBA has a draft system used to select players. (i).
2. Players are unable to choose which team they will sign to. (i).
SECTION 2: Purpose
To give the players choice of which organization they want to work for similar
to how they choose which college to play for.
SECTION 3: General Provisions
The NBA currently issues a draft system where teams receive a lottery pick
which determines their draft order. On NBA Draft day, each team gets to
choose which individual they wish to be on the team without having the
individuals consent. This act requires that the NBA draft be completely
removed due to the lack of freedom of choice for the individuals
participating in the draft that is not part of the teams. A new system is to be
implemented where all individuals are given a choice of which team to play
under.
SECTION 4: Definitions
NBA: National basketball Association
Player: an individual
Consent: Permission for something to happen or agreement to do something
