3. Sing The rainbow song (or one of the other colour songs)
New material
4. Introduce vocabulary: apple, banana, orange, strawberry, grape, fruits (flashcards)
5. Elicit colours (apple green/red/yellow, banana yellow, strawberry red, grape purple,
orange orange)
6. Introduce the song: Five little fruits. First telling it as a story and acting out with the
flashcards, then playing the song.

7. Put the flashcards in the middle of the circle and touch the fruit that you like (I like
strawberries) Encourage children to do the same.
8. Introduce the funny song: Apples and bananas (most of them are familiar with this type of a
song, as they sing similar songs in German).
9. Ask children what fruit they like.
Wrap up
10. Children draw the fruit they like and dont like in the worksheet.
11. Goodbye.
Other activities:

Bring supermarket flyers for children to cut out fruit, and stick on paper.
Memory game fruit
