Several weeks ago, there was some discussion about holding a
Thanksgiving dinner here at Aldersgate Thanksgiving Day, November
24th. Our thoughts are that many households are small and the difficulty
of celebrating this special time of thankfulness may be difficult for some
and perhaps even lonely for others. Wouldnt it be a good time to
celebrate with your church family if you are not going out of town or
hosting your own meal with family and friends? Before we make too
many plans though, we need your input. If you think this is something
you would be interested in, please respond today on the
communication card in your bulletin, or you can see Kathy Morse or
email her @ Once we have enough responses,
we will then move forward on the details and get the information to you
as to time, menu, cost, if any and so forth. Also, if anyone has a turkey
fryer that would be available for us to use, please let Kathy know.

George Smith, uncle of Tom and Beth Roesch

Robert Morse (12/28/1935 - 3/27/2016), father of Kathleen Vogel
Horace W. Seymour, Jr., father of John Seymour

Trunk or Treat!
A HUGE and HEARTFELT THANK YOU to each person who was able to
support Trunk or Treat with her/his time, energy, candy, prayers,
financial gifts, and huge smiles!! We had an amazing turn out - 600-800!
NONE of this would have been possible without the congregation
working together to give kids and families a safe place to celebrate
Halloween and coming together to show our community that we're here
for them and love getting to know them. As always, this event was all for
GOD'S GLORY - nothing else. I just cannot fully express my thankfulness
to our AUMC family and friends!! Here's the short story NBC29 did: All for God's Glory! Rachel Miller, Dir. of Min. w/ Young People
