EndNoteTM Basic:
preciso estar na rede da UM para poder instalar o EndNoteTM Basic (de fora, usar o VPN). Depois de
instalado j possvel trabalhar de qualquer stio, com as funcionalidades bsicas.
Atravs do Web of Science, cria-se uma conta que permite depois aceder ao EndNoteTM Basic.

Dica: Para procurar artigos ISI, selecionar a Web of Science Core Colletion, pesquisar os artigos e clicar no
nome da revista para ver o fator de impacto e restante informao.
Fazer depois uma pesquisa.
Selecionar o(s) artigo(s) pretendido(s).
Save to EndNote online a referncia do artigo e se pretendido o abstract so enviados para o EndNote.
O smbolo EN aparece a assinalar os artigos enviados para o EndNote.
Clicar no separador EndNoteTM para ir para o sistema EndNoteTM Basic.

Selecionar Show/Hide Getting Started Guide para ver/esconder um pequeno guia explicativo da
aplicao que permite ligao s principais funcionalidades.

O separador My References permite visualizar e gerir todas as referncias.

O separador Collect permite procurar online, criar ou importar referncias.
O separador Organize permite organizar referncias em grupos, partilhar os grupos e procurar
referncias duplicadas.
O separador Format permite formatar bibliografias e citar referncias medida que se escreve, usando o
Cite While You Write Plug-In.

Cite While You Write Plug-In

Use the EndNote plug-in to insert references, and format citations and bibliographies automatically while you write your papers
in Word. This plug-in also allows you to save online references to your library in Internet Explorer for Windows.

Installing the Cite While You Write Plug-in for Windows

Installation
To download and install the Cite While You WriteTM plug-in to use with Word or Internet Explorer for Windows:

Log in to the local machine with administrative rights or as a user with program installation privileges.
If an older version of the plug-in is installed, follow the uninstall instructions.

Close all open windows of Microsoft Word and Outlook .

Make sure you are logged on to EndNote in a Web browser, and then click the Download Installers link at the
bottom of any page.
Click the Download Windows link to save the EndNotePlugins.exe installer to your computer.
Click the Run button, or Open depending on your browser, when prompted in the 'Download Complete' window.
This will launch the installation program.
If prompted to confirm the publisher, select Run.
If prompted, select whether or not you would like EndNote online to import direct export files from data provider web
sites. Do not select EndNote online if you wish to continue exporting references directly to EndNote, Reference
Manager, or ProCite.
Continue with the installation.
On the Set Server screen, select the type of EndNote online server account you will be using.
o Default - Select default if you are accessing EndNote online through www.myendnoteweb.com or
myendnoteweb.com.
o Advanced - If you are accessing some other EndNote online server location where the EndNote online
homepage address does not match the subscription address above, select this server option.
Select features. Click the drop-down to and select an option to install the feature on your hard drive. You may
install both the IE plug-in and the CWYW for Word feature. Or you may install one or the other.
To verify the installation of Cite While You Write, open Word and look for the Cite While You Write toolbar.
To verify the installation of the Internet Explorer toolbar, open Internet Explorer and look for the EndNote online
toolbar. If it is not visible, select the View menu, Toolbars and check EndNote online.

Uninstalling
Uninstall your older version of EndNote online by going to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs or
Programs/Uninstall a program.

Nota: Se a bibliografia no ficar onde pretendemos, basta selecionar a bibliografia (com uma linha antes o
outra depois) e arrastar para onde pretendermos.

Fazer a pesquisa.

Selecionar o artigo que queremos referir e clicar em Citar. Aparece a janela:

Selecionar EndNote.
Gravar o ficheiro no computador (com extenso .enw).
Entrar no EndNote
Selecionar Collect / Import References
Em Import Options colocar: EndNote Import
Em Toselecionar a pasta para onde se pretende importar a referncia.
Selecionar Import.
Verificar na lista se est l. D para ordenar a lista de referncias por ordem de entrada na base de dados (Sort by:
Added to Library newest to oldest).

Utilizao do EndNote Web no Word Algumas dicas
Corpo de relatrio
Vamos incluir referncias no final da frase, com Insert Citation, pesquisa pelo nome (Find) (basta uma letra do
nome) e seleciona-se Insert, por exemplo a citao pgina do Project Management Institute (PMI, 2013).
As referncias inicialmente ficam no fim da folha, a seguir aos anexos, neste caso. Para passar para a seco que eu
chamei Referncias deve-se arrastar toda a lista para essa zona, incluindo uma linha acima e uma abaixo.
Agora vamos incluir vrias referncias seguidas. Neste caso no se devem incluir manualmente espaos nem outros
separadores. Isso feito automaticamente pelo EndNote. Vou ento referir vrias materiais sobre gesto de
projetos (Feio, 2008; PMI, 2008; Santos & Tereso, 2011).
Quando se pretende inserir uma referncia onde o nome do autor faz parte da frase, como por exemplo no seguinte
caso: Vanhoucke, Demeulemeester, & Herroelen (2003) falam no seu artigo sobre pagamentos progressivos em
problemas de escalonamento de projetos.
Para fazer isto, em primeiro lugar acrescenta-se a referncia normal:
(Vanhoucke, Demeulemeester, & Herroelen, 2003)
Copia-se a parte Vanhoucke, Demeulemeester, & Herroelen para antes da referncia, ficando:
Vanhoucke, Demeulemeester, & Herroelen (Vanhoucke, Demeulemeester, & Herroelen, 2003)
Selecciona-se a referncia, Edit Citation(s) e Exclude Author, e fica:

Vanhoucke, Demeulemeester, & Herroelen (2003).

Se referir a 2 vez este artigo usando o APA 6th, vai aparecer: (Vanhoucke et al., 2003).
Para mudar o estilo das referncia basta selecionar outro estilo na caixa Style. Pode ser necessrio selecionar
Select Another Style para encontrar o estilo pretendido, porque a lista inicial s mostra alguns estilos.
Para remover uma citao no se deve apagar. Deve-se selecionar a citao, fazer Edit Citation(s) e selecionar
Edit Reference / Remove Citation.
Tambm possvel indicar o n da pgina, o que especialmente til para uma citao textual. Por exemplo: Os
autores Wiesemann, Kuhn, & Rustem (2010, p. 356) referem no seu artigo que Project scheduling is concerned
with the temporal coordination of the various tasks of a project.
Vai-se a Edit Citation(s) e inclui-se no campo Pages a pgina consultada.
possvel ir diretamente para o EndNote e inserir ou modificar referncias.
