Innovation Management in an

Organization
Section/ Outcome 2: Evaluate level of innovation within an organization .
-

Audit the innovation in the above organization.

Guan, Jian Cheng, et al (2006) that there is still much

room for enterprises to improve competitiveness in situations of confining score ranges of
technological innovation capability and competitiveness.

According to Adams, R., Bessant, J. and Phelps, R. ( 2006); the measurement of the
process of innovation is critical for both practitioners and academics, yet the literature is
characterized by a diversity of approaches, prescriptions and practices that can be confusing
and contradictory.

Evaluate the audit tool (s) used.

To sum up as well as to critic, English can be considered as a basic barrier for tourism
and hospitality industry. Especially, the business owner and the main target market group are
those who speak English as a major communication. Frankly, I am not saying that Laotian,

Thai, or any other languages are not important; but, I aware and perceive that its highly
likely essential; especially, that in terms of competitiveness, value added potential, and so on.
Admittedly, English as an element of our innovative project is highly likely yield to guests or
customers satisfaction.
However, the opportunity is the local people which thought that are so or too relax
corresponding to their culture tend to be lazy or even could not be less difficult to improve or
motivate; can and are possible to do so gradually; and that tends to need patient; especially
those who are from different way of living (i.e time strict as such happen to German bosses
versus Laos staff in Luang Prabang: to be honest; this is not bias toward any nations).
Otherwise, the eco-tourism businessmen or investors could/ should face the gap of
mismatching of location that suits to business and the local people who suits for business (eco
resorts). This is simply because local people are key factor of that as shown in Figure 6
below.
