Tagxedo Assignment

25 Points
Due Friday, September 7
PART ONE:
For this part of the assignment, you will create your own Tagxedo. A Tagxedo is a
"word cloud," or sort of a collage made of words. Your Tagxedo will describe who
you are and what you like. Your finished Tagxedos will be posted in our classroom.
1. Type 15 or more words that describe you into a Word document. Be sure
to spell-check. As you choose your words, think about those words that
truly define you. Be creative in your word choices. "Nice" doesn't say
much.

PART TWO:
In one handwritten (or one typed, double-spaced) page, write a letter to your teachers
which explains your Tagxedo and also more about who you are as a person. Here are
some questions to consider as you write:

What should we know about you (as a person, as a reader, as a writer)? For
example, it would be good to know if you play three sports, or if you work, or if
you really hate reading, or if you love to write short stories.
What are your goals for this year (in class and in general)? What grade would
you like to achieve in English?
What kind of a person are you? What do you do outside of school?
