Multimedia Project Summary Sheet
1. The Topic: The PowerPoint presentation is on the different types of clouds. The clouds are
organized into separate slides, with a picture of each one before the information. Each clouds
slide gives information on the cloud and what the weather can be for each cloud type. This
presentation is for Ms. Smith’s second grade class. The purpose of the cloud presentation is
to teach the students about the clouds so that when they look into the sky, they will be able to
identify what the cloud is and what weather to expect.
2. The Audience: The class viewing the cloud presentation is the second grade class of Ms.
Smith’s class. This class is in the Stourbridge Primary Center in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. It
consists of 23 students: thirteen boys and ten girls. The students are between the ages of
seven and nine. No student is the same as they all come from different cultures. There are
multiple ethnicities in the classroom.
There is a student in Ms. Smith’s class who has a student who is visually impaired. The
student is not completely blind, but needs some help. The student needs glasses to see the
board. The student will sit in the front of the class. I make sure that no matter what lesson I
plan; he will be able to see the board. I will also make him worksheets with larger font than
the others. I want him to be able to read what the worksheet says.
3. The Objectives:
A. Given the information on the different clouds, students will be able to identify the
clouds when looking at the pictures with eighty-five percent accuracy
a. The objective will be met in slides 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 where the photos are
shown before each content
B. Given the worksheet on clouds, the students will be able to label each cloud with
ninety percent accuracy
b. The objective will be met in slides 3-14 where the photos and information are
given.
C. Given the presentation on clouds, the students will be able to look in the sky and
identify the clouds that they see in the sky
c. The objectives will be met in slides 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 where the photos are
being shown. Students will be able to look back at them as a resource.
4. Support Media: The support media that I am using is a word search puzzle. After the
presentation, I am going to pass it out so that the students can do the word search. I wanted to
do something that was fun and not just a video. So, I went with the word search so that it was
more fun for the students to do. So they will be having fun and learning!

5. ISTE Standards:
1d. Creativity and innovation: Identify trends and forecast possibilities.
Students will cut and paste the different clouds and forecast possibilities for each
cloud.
2b. Communication and collaboration: Communicate information and ideas effectively to
multiple audiences using a variety of media and formats
Students will use the media resource effectively to name the different types of
clouds. They can use this to help them with the cut and paste worksheet on the
different clouds.
6. Follow-Up Activities:
1. I will have the students make their own clouds using cotton balls. The students will
grab a piece of construction paper, cotton balls, and glue and begin making their own
cloud. They can choose any of the clouds we talked about and then we will hang them
outside of the classroom on the bulletin board.
2. Since we learned about all of the different clouds, I will pass out a worksheet on the
different clouds that they will have to cut and paste under the correct name. After they
will be able to hand it in and I will check it and pass it back to them,
3. We will get into groups and I will post images of clouds on the smartboard. The
groups will have to work together and write down all of the names of clouds. The
group with the highest amount correct will get five bonus points on their test.
7. Concept Map:
