General Power Tool Safety Warnings

WARNING Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow
the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
The term power tool in the warnings refers to
your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away
while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way. Do not
use any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools. Unmodified
plugs and matching outlets will reduce
risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is
an increased risk of electric shock if your
body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a power tool
will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the
cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the power tool. Keep cord away from
heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.

e) When operating a power tool outdoors,

use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric
shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use
of an RCD reduces the risk of electric
shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and
use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use a power tool
while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating
power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure
the switch is in the off-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the
tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power
tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench
or a key left attached to a rotating part of
the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times. This enables
better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can
be caught in moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and
properly used. Use of dust collection can
reduce dust-related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The
correct power tool will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch
does not turn it on and off. Any power
tool that cannot be controlled with the
switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power
source and/or the battery pack from the
power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing
power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the
power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tools operation. If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and
are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool
bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation.

5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that
the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Safety Warnings for Angle Grinder

Safety Warnings common for Grinding, Sanding, Wire Brushing or Abrasive Cutting Off Operations
f This power tool is intended to function as a
grinder, sander, wire brush or cut-off tool.
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with
this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury.
f This power tool is not recommended for
polishing. Operations for which the power
tool was not designed may create a hazard
and cause personal injury.
f Do not use accessories which are not specifically designed and recommended by the
tool manufacturer. Just because the accessory can be attached to your power tool, it
does not assure safe operation.
f The rated speed of the accessory must be at
least equal to the maximum speed marked
on the power tool. Accessories running faster than their rated speed can break and fly
apart.
f The outside diameter and the thickness of
your accessory must be within the capacity
rating of your power tool. Incorrectly sized
accessories cannot be adequately guarded
or controlled.
f The arbor size of wheels, flanges, backing
pads or any other accessory must properly
fit the spindle of the power tool. Accessories with arbor holes that do not match the
mounting hardware of the power tool will run
out of balance, vibrate excessively and may
cause loss of control.

f Do not use a damaged accessory. Before
each use inspect the accessory such as
abrasive wheels for chips and cracks, backing pad for cracks, tear or excess wear, wire
brush for loose or cracked wires. If power
tool or accessory is dropped, inspect for
damage or install an undamaged accessory.
After inspecting and installing an accessory, position yourself and bystanders away
from the plane of the rotating accessory
and run the power tool at maximum no-load
speed for one minute. Damaged accessories
will normally break apart during this test
time.
f Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on application, use face shield,
safety goggles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask, hearing protectors,
gloves and workshop apron capable of stopping small abrasive or workpiece fragments. The eye protection must be capable
of stopping flying debris generated by various operations. The dust mask or respirator
must be capable of filtrating particles generated by your operation. Prolonged exposure
to high intensity noise may cause hearing
loss.
f Keep bystanders a safe distance away from
work area. Anyone entering the work area
must wear personal protective equipment.
Fragments of workpiece or of a broken accessory may fly away and cause injury beyond immediate area of operation.
f Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when performing an operation
where the cutting accessory may contact
hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a live wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool live
and shock the operator.
f Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory. If you lose control of the power tool,
the cord may be cut or snagged and your
hand or arm may be pulled into the spinning
accessory.

f Never lay the power tool down until the accessory has come to a complete stop. The
spinning accessory may grab the surface and
pull the power tool out of your control.
f Do not run the power tool while carrying it
at your side. Accidental contact with the
spinning accessory could snag your clothing,
pulling the accessory into your body.
f Regularly clean the power tools air vents.
The motors fan will draw the dust inside the
housing and excessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause electrical hazards.
f Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks could ignite these materials.
f Do not use accessories that require liquid
coolants. Using water or other liquid coolants may result in electrocution or shock.
Kickback and related warnings
f Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or
snagged rotating wheel, backing pad, brush
or any other accessory. Pinching or snagging
causes rapid stalling of the rotating accessory which in turn causes the uncontrolled
power tool to be forced in the direction opposite of the accessorys rotation at the
point of the binding.
For example, if an abrasive wheel is snagged
or pinched by the workpiece, the edge of the
wheel that is entering into the pinch point
can dig into the surface of the material causing the wheel to climb out or kick out. The
wheel may either jump toward or away from
the operator, depending on direction of the
wheels movement at the point of pinching.
Abrasive wheels may also break under these
conditions.
Kickback is the result of power tool misuse
and/or incorrect operating procedures or
conditions and can be avoided by taking
proper precautions as given below.

f Maintain a firm grip on the power tool and
position your body and arm to allow you to
resist kickback forces. Always use auxiliary
handle, if provided, for maximum control
over kickback or torque reaction during
start-up. The operator can control torque reactions or kickback forces, if proper precautions are taken.
f Never place your hand near the rotating accessory. Accessory may kickback over your
hand.
f Do not position your body in the area where
power tool will move if kickback occurs.
Kickback will propel the tool in direction opposite to the wheels movement at the point
of snagging.
f Use special care when working corners,
sharp edges, etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging the accessory. Corners, sharp edges or
bouncing have a tendency to snag the rotating accessory and cause loss of control or
kickback.
f Do not attach a saw chain woodcarving
blade or toothed saw blade. Such blades
create frequent kickback and loss of control
over the power tool.
Additional safety instructions for grinding and
cutting off operations
f Use only wheel types that are recommended for your power tool and the specific
guard designed for the selected wheel.
Wheels for which the power tool was not designed cannot be adequately guarded and
are unsafe.
f The guard must be securely attached to the
power tool and positioned for maximum
safety, so the least amount of wheel is exposed towards the operator. The guard
helps to protect operator from broken wheel
fragments and accidental contact with
wheel.
f Wheels must be used only for recommended applications. For example: do not grind
with the side of the cut-off wheel. Abrasive
cut-off wheels are intended for peripheral
grinding; side forces applied to these wheels
may cause them to shatter.

f Always use undamaged wheel flanges that

are of correct size and shape for your selected wheel. Proper wheel flanges support
the wheel thus reducing the possibility of
wheel breakage. Flanges for cut-off wheels
may be different from grinding wheel flanges.
f Do not use worn down wheels from larger
power tools. Wheels intended for larger
power tools are not suitable for the higher
speed of a smaller tool and may burst.
Additional safety warnings specific for abrasive cutting off operations
f Do not jam the cut-off wheel or apply excessive pressure. Do not attempt to make
an excessive depth of cut. Overstressing the
wheel increases the loading and susceptibility to twisting or binding of the wheel in the
cut and the possibility of kickback or wheel
breakage.
f Do not position your body in line with and
behind the rotating wheel. When the wheel,
at the point of operation, is moving away
from your body, the possible kickback may
propel the spinning wheel and the power
tool directly at you.
f When wheel is binding or when interrupting
a cut for any reason, switch off the power
tool and hold the power tool motionless until the wheel comes to a complete stop. Never attempt to remove the cut-off wheel from
the cut while the wheel is in motion otherwise kickback may occur. Investigate and
take corrective action to eliminate the cause
of wheel binding.
f Do not restart the cutting operation in the
workpiece. Let the wheel reach full speed
and carefully reenter the cut. The wheel may
bind, walk up or kickback if the power tool is
restarted in the workpiece.
f Support panels or any oversized workpiece
to minimize the risk of wheel pinching and
kickback. Large workpieces tend to sag under their own weight. Supports must be
placed under the workpiece near the line of
cut and near the edge of the workpiece on
both sides of the wheel.

f Use extra caution when making a pocket
cut into existing walls or other blind areas.
The protruding wheel may cut gas or water
pipes, electrical wiring or objects that can
cause kickback.
Safety warnings specific for sanding operations
f Do not use excessively oversized sanding
disc paper. Follow manufacturers recommendations, when selecting sanding paper.
Larger sanding paper extending beyond the
sanding pad presents a laceration hazard and
may cause snagging, tearing of the disc, or
kickback.
Safety warnings specific for wire brushing operations
f Be aware that wire bristles are thrown by
the brush even during ordinary operation.
Do not overstress the wires by applying excessive load to the brush. The wire bristles
can easily penetrate light clothing and/or
skin.
f If the use of a guard is recommended for
wire brushing, do not allow any interference of the wire wheel or brush with the
guard. Wire wheel or brush may expand in diameter due to work load and centrifugal forces.
Additional safety warnings
Wear safety goggles.
f Use suitable detectors to determine if utility lines are hidden in the work area or call
the local utility company for assistance.
Contact with electric lines can lead to fire
and electric shock. Damaging a gas line can
lead to explosion. Penetrating a water line
causes property damage or may cause an
electric shock.

f Release the On/Off switch and set it to the

off position when the power supply is interrupted, e. g., in case of a power failure or
when the mains plug is pulled. This prevents
uncontrolled restarting.
f When working stone, use dust extraction.
The vacuum cleaner must be approved for
the extraction of stone dust. Using this
equipment reduces dust-related hazards.
f Use a cutting guide when cutting stone.
Without sideward guidance, the cutting disc
can jam and cause kickback.
f When working with the machine, always
hold it firmly with both hands and provide
for a secure stance. The power tool is guided
more secure with both hands.
f Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped
with clamping devices or in a vice is held
more secure than by hand.
f Keep your workplace clean. Blends of materials are particularly dangerous. Dust from
light alloys can burn or explode.
f Never use the machine with a damaged cable. Do not touch the damaged cable and
pull the mains plug when the cable is damaged while working. Damaged cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
Functional Description
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
While reading the operating instructions, unfold
the graphics page for the machine and leave it
open.
Intended Use
The machine is intended for cutting, roughing,
and brushing metal and stone materials without
using water.
For cutting metal, a special protection guard for
cutting (accessory) must be used.

used.
With approved sanding tools, the machine can

Assembly
Mounting the Protective Devices
f Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
Note: After breakage of the grinding disc during
operation or damage to the holding fixtures on
the protection guard/power tool, the machine
must promptly be sent to an after-sales service
agent for maintenance (for addresses, see section After-sales Service and Customer
Assistance.
Protection Guard for Grinding
Place the protection guard 8 on the spindle collar. Adjust the position of the protection guard 8
to the requirements of the operation. Lock the
protection guard 8 tightening the locking screw
7 with an allen key 3.

f Adjust the protection guard 8 in such a manner that sparking is prevented in the direction of the operator.
Note: The encoding keys on the protection
guard 8 ensure that only a protection guard that
fits the machine type can be mounted.
Protection Guard for Cutting
f For cutting metal, always work with the protection guard for cutting 13.
f For cutting stone, always work with the cutting guide with dust extraction protection
guard 20.
The protection guard for cutting 13 is mounted
in the same manner as the protection guard for
grinding 8.

Auxiliary Handle
Grinding/Cutting Disc
f Operate your machine only with the auxiliary handle 5.
Pay attention to the dimensions of the grinding

tools. The mounting hole diameter must fit the
mounting flange without play. Do not use reducers or adapters.
Screw the auxiliary handle 5 on the right or left

of the machine head depending on the working
method.
Vibration-dampening Auxiliary Handle
The vibration-dampening auxiliary handle reduces the vibrations, making operation more comfortable and secure.
f Do not make any alterations to the auxiliary
handle.
Do not continue to use an auxiliary handle if it
is damaged.
Hand Guard
f For operations with the rubber sanding
plate 16 or with the cup brush/wheel
brush/flap disc, always mount the hand
guard 15.
The hand guard 15 is fastened with the auxiliary
handle 5.

f Grinding and cutting discs become very hot
while working; do not touch until they have
cooled.
Clean the grinder spindle 6 and all parts to be
mounted.
For clamping and loosening the grinding tools,
lock the grinder spindle with the spindle lock
button 1.
f Actuate the spindle lock button only when
the grinder spindle is at a standstill. Otherwise, the machine may become damaged.
When using diamond cutting discs, pay attention that the direction-of-rotation arrow on the
diamond cutting disc and the direction of rotation of the machine (see direction-of-rotation arrow on the machine head) agree.
See graphics page for the mounting sequence.
To fasten the grinding/cutting disc, screw on
the clamping nut 11 and tighten with the twopin spanner; see Section Quick-clamping Nut .
f After mounting the grinding tool and before
switching on, check that the grinding tool is
correctly mounted and that it can turn freely. Make sure that the grinding tool does
not graze against the protection guard or
other parts.
Mounting flange for grinding
spindle M 14: An O-ring (plastic part) is inserted in the
mounting flange 9 around the
centring collar. If the O-ring is
missing or is damaged, it must
in all cases be replaced (article
number 1 600 210 039) before
the mounting flange 9 is mounted.
Mounting flange for grinding spindle M 10: The
mounting flange can be used on both sides.
Flap Disc
f For operations with the flap disc, always
mount the hand guard 15.
Rubber Sanding Plate
f For operations with the rubber sanding
plate 16, always mount the hand guard 15.
Screw on the round nut 18 and tighten with the
two-pin spanner.
Cup Brush/Disc Brush
f For operations with the cup brush/wheel
brush, always mount the hand guard 15.

The cup brush/disc brush must be able to be
screwed onto the grinder spindle until it rests
firmly against the grinder spindle flange at the
end of the grinder spindle threads. Tighten the
cup brush/disc brush with an open-end spanner.
Quick-clamping Nut
For convenient changing of grinding tools without the use of additional tools, you can use the
quick-clamping nut 12 instead of the clamping
nut 11.
Approved Grinding Tools

All grinding tools mentioned in these operating
instructions can be used.
The permissible speed [min-1] or the circumferential speed [m/s] of the grinding tools used
must at least match the values given in the table.
Therefore, observe the permissible rotational/circumferential speed on the label of the
grinding tool.

f The quick-clamping nut 12 may be used only

for grinding or cutting discs.
Use only a flawless, undamaged quick-clamping nut 12.
When screwing on, pay attention that the side
of the quick-clamping nut 12 with printing
does not face the grinding disc; the arrow must
point to the index mark 23.

knurled ring in anticlockwise direction.
Never loosen a tight
quick-clamping nut
with pliers. Always
use the two-pin spanner. Insert the two-pin spanner as shown in the
illustration.

The machine head

can be rotated with
respect to the machine housing in
90 steps. In this
manner, the On/Off
switch can be
brought into a more
convenient position for special
working situations,
e.g. for left-handed
persons.
Completely unscrew the four screws. Rotate the
machine head carefully, without removing it
from the housing, to the new position. Screw in
and tighten the four screws again.

Dust/Chip Extraction
f Dusts from materials such as lead-containing
coatings, some wood types, minerals and
metal can be harmful to ones health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are
considered as carcinogenic, especially in
connection with wood-treatment additives
(chromate, wood preservative). Materials
containing asbestos may only be worked by
specialists.
Use dust extraction whenever possible.
Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
It is recommended to wear a P2 filterclass respirator.
f Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces 22 and auxiliary handle 5 only. The accessory may contact hidden wiring or its
own cord. Accessory contacting a live wire
may make exposed metal parts of the power
tool live and shock the operator.
When operating the machine with power from
mobile generators that do not have sufficient reserve capacity or are not equipped with suitable
voltage control with starting current amplification, loss of performance or untypical behavior
can occur upon switching on.
Please observe the suitability of the power generator being used, particularly with regard to
the mains voltage and frequency.
Switching On and Off
To start the power tool, push the On/Off switch
2 forwards.
To lock the On/Off switch 2, press the On/Off
switch 2 down at the front until it latches.
Observe the relevant regulations in your

country for the materials to be worked.
To switch off the power tool, release the On/Off

switch 2 or, if it is locked, briefly push down the
back of the On/Off switch 2 and then release it.
Operation
Starting Operation
f Observe correct mains voltage! The voltage
of the power source must agree with the
voltage specified on the nameplate of the
machine.
f Check grinding tools before using. The

grinding tool must be mounted properly
and be able to move freely. Carry out a test
run for at least one minute with no load. Do
not use damaged, out-of-centre or vibrating
grinding tools. Damaged grinding tools can
burst and cause injuries.
Speed preselection (GWS 7-100 E/GWS 7-100 ET/GWS 720 ET/GWS 7-115 ET/ GWS 7-125 ET)
The required speed can be preselected with the thumbwheel 4 (also while running).
The data in the following table are recommended values.

always work in an
up-grinding motion. Otherwise,
the danger exists
of it being pushed
uncontrolled out
of the cut.
Working Advice
f Exercise caution when cutting slots in
structural walls; see Section Information
on Structures .
f Clamp the workpiece if it does not remain
stationary due to its own weight.
f Do not strain the machine so heavily that it
comes to a standstill.
When cutting profiles and square

bar, it is best to
start at the smallest cross section.
f After heavily straining the power tool, continue to run it at no-load for several minutes
to cool down the cutting/grinding tool.
f Grinding and cutting discs become very hot
while working; do not touch until they have
cooled.
f Do not use the power tool with a cut-off
stand.
Rough Grinding
f Never use a cutting disc for roughing.
The best roughing results are achieved when
setting the machine at an angle of 30 to 40.
Move the machine back and forth with moderate
pressure. In this manner, the workpiece will not
become too hot, does not discolour and no
grooves are formed.
Flap Disc
With the flap disc (accessory), curved surfaces
and profiles can be worked.
Flap discs have a considerably higher service
life, lower noise levels and lower sanding temperatures than conventional sanding sheets.
Cutting Metal
f For cutting metal, always work with the protection guard for cutting 13.
When cutting, work with moderate feed, adapted to the material being cut. Do not exert pressure onto the cutting disc, tilt or oscillate the
machine.
Do not reduce the speed of running down cutting discs by applying sideward pressure.

Cutting Stone
f For cutting stone, always work with the cutting guide with dust extraction protection
guard 20.
f The machine may be used only for dry cutting/grinding.
For cutting stone, it is best to use a diamond
cutting disc. As a safety measure against jamming, the cutting guide with dust extraction protection guard 20 must be used.
Operate the machine only with dust extraction
and additionally wear a dust protection mask.
The vacuum cleaner must be approved for the
extraction of masonry dust. Bosch provides suitable vacuum cleaners.
Switch on the machine and place
the front part of
the cutting guide
on the workpiece.
Slide the machine
with moderate
feed, adapted to
the material to be
worked.
For cutting expecially hard material, e. g., concrete with high pebble content, the
diamond cutting disc can overheat and become
damaged as a result. This is clearly indicated by
circular sparking, rotating with the diamond cutting disc.

In this case, interrupt the cutting process and allow the diamond cutting disc to cool by running
the machine for a short time at maximum speed
with no load.
Noticeable decreasing work progress and circular sparking are indications of a diamond cutting
disc that has become dull. Briefly cutting into
abrasive material (e. g. lime-sand brick) can resharpen the disc again.
Information on Structures
Slots in structural walls are subject to the
Standard DIN 1053 Part 1, or country-specific
regulations.
These regulations are to be observed under all
circumstances. Before beginning work, consult
the responsible structural engineer, architect or
the construction supervisor.
Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning
the mains plug.
f For safe and proper working, always keep
the machine and ventilation slots clean.
f In extreme working conditions, conductive
dust can accumulate in the interior of the
machine when working with metal. The protective insulation of the machine can be degraded. The use of a stationary extraction
system is recommended in such cases as
well as frequently blowing out the ventilation slots and installing a residual current
device (RCD).
Please store and handle the accessory(-ies)
carefully.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Bosch power tools.

Perkakas Listrik
Bacalah semua
petunjuk-petunjuk
untuk keselamatan kerja dan petunjukpetunjuk untuk penggunaan. Kesalahan dalam
menjalankan petunjuk-petunjuk untuk
keselamatan kerja dan petunjuk-petunjuk untuk
penggunaan dapat mengakibatkan kontak
listrik, kebakaran dan/atau luka-luka yang berat.
PERHATIKANLAH
Simpanlah semua petunjuk-petunjuk untuk

keselamatan kerja dan petunjuk-petunjuk
lainnya untuk penggunaan di masa depan.
Kata perkakas listrik yang disebutkan di dalam
petunjuk-petunjuk untuk keselamatan kerja
adalah sebutan untuk perkakas listrik pakai
listrik jaringan (dengan kabel) dan untuk
perkakas listrik pakai aki (tanpa kabel listrik).
1) Keselamatan kerja di tempat kerja
a) Jagalah supaya tempat kerja selalu
bersih dan terang. Tempat kerja yang
tidak rapi atau tidak terang dapat
mengakibatkan terjadinya kecelakaan.
b) Janganlah menggunakan perkakas listrik
di tempat di mana dapat terjadi ledakan,
di mana ada cairan, gas atau debu yang
mudah terbakar. Perkakas listrik dapat
memancarkan bunga api yang lalu
mengakibatkan debu atau uap terbakar.
c) Selama menggunakan perkakas listrik,
jauhkan anak-anak dan orang-orang lain
dari tempat kerja. Jika konsentrasi
terganggu, bisa jadi Anda tidak bisa mengendalikan perkakas listrik tersebut.

2) Keamanan listrik
a) Steker dari perkakas listrik harus cocok
pada stopkontak. Janganlah sekali-kali
merubah steker. Janganlah
menggunakan steker perantara bersama
dengan perkakas listrik yang mempunyai
hubungan arde. Steker yang tidak dirubah
dan stopkontak yang cocok mengurangi
bahaya terjadinya kontak listrik.
b) Jagalah supaya badan Anda tidak
bersentuhan dengan permukaan yang
mempunyai hubungan arde, misalnya
pipa-pipa, radiator pemanas ruangan,
kompor listrik dan lemari es. Ada risiko
besar terjadi kontak listrik, jika badan
Anda mempunyai hubungan arde.
c) Jagalah supaya perkakas listrik tidak
kena hujan atau menjadi basah. Air yang
masuk ke dalam perkakas listrik
menambah risiko terjadinya kontak listrik.
d) Janganlah menyalah gunakan kabel
listrik untuk mengangkat dan
menggantungkan perkakas listrik atau
untuk menarik steker dari stopkontak.
Jagalah supaya kabel listrik tidak kena
panas, minyak, pinggiran yang tajam
atau bagian-bagian perkakas yang
bergerak. Kabel listrik yang rusak atau
tersangkut menambah risiko terjadinya
kontak listrik.
e) Jika Anda menggunakan perkakas listrik
di luar gedung, gunakanlah hanya kabel
sambungan yang juga cocok untuk
pemakaian di luar gedung. Penggunaan
kabel sambungan yang cocok untuk
pemakaian di luar gedung mengurangi
risiko terjadinya kontak listrik.
f) Jika penggunaan perkakas listrik di
tempat yang basah tidak bisa
dihindarkan, gunakanlah sakelar
pengaman terhadap arus penyimpangan.
Penggunaan sakelar pengaman terhadap
arus penyimpangan mengurangi risiko
terjadinya kontak listrik.

3) Keselamatan kerja
a) Berhati-hatilah selalu, perhatikanlah apa
yang Anda kerjakan dan bekerjalah
dengan seksama jika menggunakan
perkakas listrik. Janganlah menggunakan perkakas listrik, jika Anda capai atau
berada di bawah pengaruh narkoba,
minuman keras atau obat. Jika Anda
sekejap mata saja tidak berhati-hati
sewaktu menggunakan perkakas listrik,
dapat terjadi luka-luka berat.
b) Pakailah pakaian dan sarana pelindung
dan pakailah selalu kaca mata pelindung.
Dengan memakai pakaian dan sarana
pelindung, misalnya kedok anti debu,
sepatu tertutup yang tidak licin, helmet
pelindung atau pemalut telinga sesuai
dengan pekerjaan yang dilakukan dengan
perkakas listrik, bahaya terjadinya lukaluka dapat dikurangi.
c) Jagalah supaya perkakas listrik tidak
dihidupkan secara tidak disengaja.
Perhatikan bahwa perkakas listrik dalam
penyetelan mati, jika steker
disambungkan pada pengadaan listrik
dan/atau aki, jika perkakas listrik
diangkat atau dibawa. Jika selama
mengangkat perkakas listrik jari Anda
berada pada tombol untuk menghidupkan
dan mematikan atau perkakas listrik yang
dalam penyetelan hidup disambungkan
pada listrik, dapat terjadi kecelakaan.
d) Lepaskan semua perkakas-perkakas penyetelan atau kunci-kunci pas sebelum
perkakas listrik dihidupkan. Perkakas
atau kunci yang berada di dalam bagian
yang berputar dapat mengakibatkan
terjadinya luka-luka.
e) Aturkan badan sedemikian sehingga
Anda bisa bekerja dengan aman.
Berdirilah secara mantap dan jagalah
selalu keseimbangan. Dengan demikian
Anda bisa mengendalikan perkakas listrik
dengan lebih baik, jika terjadi sesuatu
dengan tiba-tiba.

f) Pakailah pakaian yang cocok. Janganlah

memakai pakaian yang longgar atau
perhiasan. Jagalah supaya rambut,
pakaian dan sarung tangan tidak masuk
dalam bagian-bagian perkakas yang
bergerak. Pakaian yang longgar, rambut
panjang atau perhiasan dapat tersangkut
dalam bagian perkakas yang bergerak.
g) Jika ada kemungkinan untuk memasangkan sarana penghisapan dan penampungan debu, perhatikan bahwa saranasarana ini telah dipasangkan dan
digunakan dengan betul. Penggunaan
sarana penghisapan bisa mengurangi
bahaya yang disebabkan debu.
4) Penggunaan dan penanganan perkakas
listrik dengan seksama
a) Janganlah membebankan perkakas
listrik terlalu berat. Gunakan selalu
perkakas listrik yang cocok untuk
pekerjaan yang dilakukan. Dengan
perkakas listrik yang cocok Anda bekerja
lebih baik dan lebih aman dalam batasbatas kemampuan yang ditentukan.
b) Janganlah menggunakan perkakas listrik
yang tombolnya rusak. Perkakas listrik
yang tidak bisa dihidupkan atau
dimatikan, berbahaya dan harus
direparasikan.
c) Tariklah steker dari stopkontak dan/atau
keluarkan aki, sebelum Anda melakukan
penyetelan pada perkakas listrik,
mengganti alat-alat kerja atau sebelum
menyimpan perkakas listrik. Tindakan
keselamatan kerja ini mengurangi bahaya
perkakas listrik hidup secara tidak
disengaja.
d) Simpanlah perkakas listrik yang tidak
digunakan di luar jangkauan anak-anak.
Janganlah mengizinkan orang-orang
yang tidak mengenal perkakas listrik ini
atau yang belum membaca petunjukpetunjuk ini, menggunakan perkakas
listrik ini. Perkakas listrik bisa menjadi
berbahaya, jika digunakan oleh orangorang yang tidak mengenalnya.

e) Rawatlah perkakas listrik dengan seksama. Periksalah, apakah bagian-bagian
perkakas listrik yang bergerak berfungsi
dengan baik dan tidak tersangkut,
apakah ada bagian-bagian yang patah
atau rusak sedemikian, sehingga dapat
mempengaruhi jalannya perkakas listrik.
Biarkan bagian-bagian perkakas yang
rusak direparasikan, sebelum Anda
mulai menggunakan perkakas listrik.
Banyak kecelakaan terjadi karena
perkakas listrik tidak dirawat dengan
seksama.
f) Perhatikan supaya alat-alat pemotong
selalu tajam dan bersih. Alat-alat
pemotong dengan mata-mata pemotong
yang tajam dan dirawat dengan seksama
tidak mudah tersangkut dan lebih mudah
dikendalikan.
g) Gunakanlah semua perkakas listrik, aksesori, alat-alat kerja dsb. sesuai dengan
petunjuk-petunjuk. Perhatikan syaratsyarat kerja dan macam pekerjaan yang
dilakukan. Penggunaan perkakas listrik
untuk macam pekerjaan yang tidak cocok
dengan kegunaannya bisa mengakibatkan
keadaan yang berbahaya.
5) Servis
a) Biarkan perkakas listrik Anda
direparasikan hanya oleh orang-orang
ahli yang berpengalaman dan hanya
dengan menggunakan suku cadang yang
asli. Dengan demikian terjamin
keselamatan kerja dengan perkakas listrik
ini secara sinambung.
Petunjuk-petunjuk untuk keselamatan

kerja untuk mesin gerinda tangan
Petunjuk-petunjuk untuk keselamatan kerja
yang sama untuk pekerjaan menggerinda,
mengampelas dengan kertas pasir, bekerja
dengan sikat kawat dan memotong
petunjuk-petunjuk untuk penggunaan,

gambar-gambar dan data-data yang Anda
terima bersama dengan perkakas listrik.
Jika Anda tidak menaati petunjuk-petunjuk
berikut, bisa terjadi kontak listrik, kebakaran
dan/atau luka-luka berat.
f Perkakas listrik ini tidak cocok untuk
pekerjaan memolis. Pemakaian perkakas
listrik untuk pekerjaan yang tidak cocok
dengan tujuannya bisa mengakibatkan
keadaan yang membahayakan dan terjadinya
luka-luka.
f Gunakanlah hanya aksesori yang dirancang
khusus untuk perkakas listrik ini dan
dianjurkan oleh Bosch. Jika suatu aksesori
bisa dipasangkan pada perkakas listrik milik
Anda, ini tidak berarti bahwa penggunaannya
yang aman terjamin.
f Kecepatan putaran yang diizinkan dari alat
kerja harus paling sedikit sebesar
kecepatan putaran maksimal yang
tercantum pada perkakas listrik. Aksesori
yang diputarkan lebih cepat daripada
kecepatan putaran yang diizinkan, bisa
terpatah dan beterbangan.
f Diameter luar dan ketebalan alat kerja
harus sesuai dengan ukuran-ukuran yang
dianjurkan bagi perkakas listrik milik Anda.
Alat kerja-alat kerja yang tidak cocok
ukurannya tidak bisa dilindungi atau
dikendalikan dengan baik.
f Mata gerinda-mata gerinda, flens-flens,
piringan-piringan atau alat kerja-alat kerja
lainnya harus duduk pas pada poros kerja
dari perkakas listrik milik Anda. Alat kerjaalat kerja yang tidak duduk pas pada poros
kerja dari perkakas listrik, berputar tidak
sempurna karena tidak balans, bervibrasi
keras sekali dan bisa membuat perkakas
listrik tidak bisa dikendalikan.
f Perkakas listrik ini bisa digunakan sebagai

mesin gerinda, mesin ampelas dengan
kertas pasir, sikat kawat dan sebagai mesin
potong. Perhatikanlah semua petunjukpetunjuk untuk keselamatan kerja,

f Janganlah menggunakan alat kerja-alat
kerja yang tidak mulus. Sebelum digunakan,
periksalah selalu alat kerja-alat kerja
seperti mata gerinda diperiksa apakah ada
bagian yang sembul dan retak, piringan
diperiksa apakah retak, aus atau tumpul,
sikat kawat diperiksa apakah ada kawat
yang terlepas atau putus. Jika perkakas
listrik atau alat kerja jatuh, periksalah
apakah menjadi rusak atau gunakanlah alat
kerja lainnya yang tidak rusak. Jika Anda
telah memeriksa alat kerja dan telah
memasangkannya, Anda dan orang-orang
yang berada di dekat tempat kerja harus
menjauh dari lingkungan gerak alat kerja
yang memutar dan biarkan perkakas listrik
berjalan dengan kecepatan putaran
maksimal selama satu menit. Kebanyakan
alat kerja-alat kerja yang rusak akan putus
selama masa uji coba ini.
f Pakailah sarana pelindung bagi diri Anda.
Tergantung dari macam pekerjaan yang
dilakukan, pakailah kedok penutup muka,
pelindung mata atau kaca mata pelindung.
Jika perlu, pakailah kedok anti debu,
pemalut telinga, sarung tangan pelindung
atau pakaian pelindung khusus yang
melindungi Anda dari butir-butir gerinda
dan butir-butir bahan (serbuk). Mata harus
dilindungi terhadap benda-benda yang beterbangan, yang terjadi pada beberapa macam
pemakaian perkakas listrik. Kedok anti debu
atau kedok pelindung pernafasan harus
mampu menyaring debu yang terjadi selama
pemakaian perkakas listrik. Jika Anda
mendengar suara bising untuk waktu yang
lama, daya pendengaran bisa berkurang.
f Perhatikanlah supaya orang-orang lain
cukup jauh dari tempat kerja Anda. Semua
orang yang mendekati tempat kerja Anda
harus memakai sarana pelindung badan.
Pecahan-pecahan dari benda yang dikerjakan
atau alat kerja-alat kerja yang patah bisa beterbangan dan mengakibatkan luka-luka, juga
di tempat yang agak jauh dari lingkungan
gerak mesin.

f Peganglah perkakas listrik hanya pada

pegangan yang terisolir, jika Anda
melakukan pekerjaan di mana alat kerjanya
bisa terkena pada saluran listrik yang tidak
terlihat atau kabelnya sendiri. Alat kerja
yang bersentuhan dengan kabel yang
bertegangan dapat mengakibatkan bagianbagian logam dari perkakas listrik juga
bertegangan dan lalu mengakibatkan kontak
listrik.
f Jauhkan kabel listrik dari alat kerja-alat
kerja yang berputar. Jika Anda tidak bisa
mengendalikan perkakas listrik, kabel listrik
bisa terpotong atau tersangkut dan lalu
tangan atau lengan Anda bisa terkena pada
alat kerja yang berputar.
f Janganlah meletakkan perkakas listrik jika
alat kerjanya belum berhenti sama sekali.
Alat kerja yang masih berputar bisa terkena
pada permukaan di mana perkakas listrik
diletakkan sehingga Anda tidak bisa mengendalikan perkakas listrik.
f Janganlah membiarkan perkakas listrik
hidup jika Anda sedang mengangkatnya.
Pakaian Anda secara tidak disengaja bisa
tersangkut pada alat kerja yang berputar dan
alat kerja ini bisa menancap dalam badan
Anda.
f Bersihkan lubang-lubang ventilasi pada
perkakas listrik Anda secara berkala. Kipas
angin motor menarik debu ke dalam rumahan
dan debu logam dalam jumlah yang besar
dan listrik bisa mengakibatkan bahaya.
f Janganlah menggunakan perkakas listrik di
dekat bahan-bahan yang mudah terbakar.
Bunga api bisa menyulut bahan-bahan ini.
f Janganlah menggunakan alat kerja-alat
kerja yang memerlukan cairan pendingin.
Penggunaan air atau cairan pendingin lainnya
bisa mengakibatkan kontak listrik.

Bantingan dan petunjuk-petunjuk khusus
f Bantingan (kickback) adalah reaksi yang
terjadi tiba-tiba jika alat kerja yang berputar
tersangkut atau memblok, misalnya mata
gerinda, piringan, sikat kawat dsb. Jika alat
kerja tersangkut atau memblok, alat kerja
berhenti memutar secara tiba-tiba. Dengan
demikian perkakas listrik yang tidak bisa
dikendalikan terpelanting ke arah yang
berlawanan dengan arah putaran alat kerja di
tempat di mana alat kerja memblok.
Jika misalnya satu mata gerinda tersangkut
atau memblok dalam benda yang dikerjakan,
maka pinggiran mata gerinda yang berada di
dalam benda yang dikerjakan tersangsang
dan bisa mengakibatkan mata gerinda patah
atau bantingan. Dalam hal demikian mata
gerinda bergerak mendekati atau menjauhi
orang yang menggunakan perkakas listrik,
tergantung dari arah putaran mata gerinda di
tempat di mana mata gerinda memblok.
Dalam hal ini mata gerinda bisa patah.
Bantingan adalah akibat dari penggunaan
perkakas listrik yang tidak cocok dan tidak
betul. Bantingan bisa dihindarkan dengan
cara-cara yang diterangkan di bawah ini.
f Peganglah perkakas listrik dengan baik dan
aturkan badan dan lengan-lengan Anda
sedemikian, sehingga Anda bisa
mengimbangi jika perkakas listrik
membanting. Gunakan selalu gagang
tambahan jika memang ada, sehingga Anda
bisa mengendalikan daya bantingan-daya
bantingan atau momen reaksi-momen
reaksi sebaik-baiknya pada waktu putaran
sedang bertambah. Orang yang
menggunakan perkakas listrik bisa mengendalikan bantingan atau daya reaksi-daya
reaksi jika orang ini menaati petunjukpetunjuk untuk keselamatan kerja.
f Janganlah sekali-kali mendekatkan tangan
Anda pada alat kerja-alat kerja yang sedang
berputar. Jika perkakas listrik membanting,
alat kerja bisa bergerak di atas tangan Anda.

f Jauhkan badan Anda dari bidang yang

terjangkau oleh perkakas listrik yang
membanting. Perkakas listrik dibanting
dalam arah yang berlawanan dengan arah
putaran mata gerinda pada tempat di mana
mata gerinda memblok.
f Bekerjalah dengan sangat hati-hati di sudutsudut, pinggiran yang tajam dsb. Jagalah
supaya alat kerja-alat kerja tidak memantul
dari benda yang dikerjakan dan terjepit.
Alat kerja yang berputar cenderung terjepit
di sudut-sudut, pinggiran yang tajam atau
bisa memantul. Ini mengakibatkan perkakas
listrik tidak bisa dikendalikan atau
mengakibatkan bantingan.
f Janganlah menggunakan mata gergaji
rantai atau mata gergaji yang bergerigi. Alat
kerja-alat kerja demikian sering
mengakibatkan bantingan atau membuat
perkakas listrik tidak bisa dikendalikan.

f Gunakanlah selalu hanya alat kerja-alat
kerja yang diizinkan untuk perkakas listrik
milik Anda dan kap pelindung yang khusus
untuk alat kerja-alat kerja ini. Alat kerja-alat
kerja yang tidak khusus untuk perkakas listrik
ini tidak bisa ditutupi dan membahayakan.
f Kap pelindung harus dipasangkan dengan
betul pada perkakas listrik dan harus
disetelkan sedemikian, sehingga
penggunaan perkakas listrik paling aman,
artinya bagian alat kerja yang menghadap
ke orang yang menggunakan perkakas
listrik harus tertutup oleh kap pelindung
sebesar mungkin. Kap pelindung harus
melindungi orang yang menggunakan
perkakas listrik terhadap bahan yang
terpatah atau persentuhan yang tidak
disengaja dengan alat kerja.
f Alat kerja-alat kerja hanya boleh digunakan
untuk macam penggunaan yang disarankan.
Misalnya: janganlah sekali-kali
menggerinda dengan sisi samping dari mata
potong. Mata potong digunakan untuk
mengikis bahan dengan pinggiran dari
piringan. Tekanan dari samping pada alat
kerja ini bisa mematahkannya.

f Gunakan selalu flens penjepit-flens
penjepit yang mulus dan dalam ukuran dan
bentuk yang cocok untuk alat kerja-alat
kerja yang Anda pilih. Flens-flens yang cocok
menopang mata gerinda dan dengan
demikian menghindarkan mata gerinda
patah. Flens-flens untuk mata potong bisa
jadi berbeda daripada flens-flens untuk mata
gerinda lainnya.
f Janganlah menghidupkan kembali perkakas

listrik, selama perkakas listrik masih
berada dalam benda yang dikerjakan.
Biarkan mata potong mencapai kecepatan
putaran nominal dahulu sebelum Anda
melanjutkan pemotongan dengan hati-hati.
Jika tidak, mata potong bisa tersangkut,
melompat ke luar dari jalur pemotongan atau

yang besar bisa melengkung ke bawah
karena beratnya sendiri. Benda yang
dikerjakan harus ditopangkan pada kedua
sisinya, baik di dekat jalur pemotongan
maupun di pinggirannya.

bahan dan tanpa disengaja memotong pipa
gas atau pipa air, saluran listrik atau bendabenda lainnya, bisa mengakibatkan bantingan.
f Janganlah mendekati lingkungan di depan

atau di belakang mata potong yang sedang
berputar. Jika Anda menggerakkan mata
potong dalam benda yang dikerjakan
menjauh dari diri Anda, bisa jadi jika terjadi
bantingan perkakas listrik terpelanting ke
arah Anda dengan mata potong yang masih
berputar.

f Janganlah menggunakan daun ampelas

yang terlalu besar, melainkan taatilah
petunjuk-petunjuk pabrik tentang ukuran
daun ampelas. Daun ampelas yang lebih
besar daripada piringan bisa mengakibatkan
terjadinya luka-luka, daun ampelas bisa

untuk mencari kabel dan pipa yang tidak

listrik. Pipa gas yang dirusak dapat
mengakibatkan ledakan. Pipa air yang
dirusak mengakibatkan kerusakan barangbarang atau dapat mengakibatkan kontak
listrik.
f Buka penguncian tombol untuk menghidupkan dan mematikan dan setelkan tombol
pada penyetelan mati, jika pengadaan
listrik terputus, misalnya jika listrik mati
atau steker ditarik dari stopkontak. Dengan
demikian perkakas listrik tidak hidup kembali
secara tidak terkendali.
f Selama mengerjakan batu, gunakanlah
sarana penghisapan debu. Mesin penghisap
debu harus diizinkan untuk menghisap
debu batu-batuan. Penggunaan saranasarana ini mengurangi bahaya karena debu.
f Untuk memotong batu, gunakanlah mistar
jarak. Tanpa mistar sebagai sandaran di
samping mata potong bisa tersangkut dan

ringan bisa terbakar atau meledak.
f Janganlah menggunakan perkakas listrik,
jika kabelnya rusak. Janganlah menyentuh
kabel yang rusak dan tariklah steker dari
stopkontak, jika kabel menjadi rusak
selama penggunaan perkakas listrik. Kabel
yang rusak membuat risiko terjadinya kontak
listrik menjadi lebih besar.

Penggunaan perkakas listrik

Perkakas listrik ini cocok untuk memotong,
mengikis dan menyikat bahan-bahan logam dan
batu-batuan tanpa menggunakan air.
Untuk memotong logam harus digunakan kap
pelindung khusus untuk memotong (aksesori).
Untuk memotong batu-batuan harus digunakan
kap penghisap khusus untuk memotong dengan
mistar jarak (aksesori).
Dengan alat kerja-alat kerja yang diizinkan
perkakas listrik ini juga bisa digunakan untuk
melakukan pengampelasan dengan kertas pasir.

Memasang alat-alat pelindung
f Sebelum mulai dengan pekerjaan pada
perkakas listrik, tariklah steker dari
stopkontak.
Petunjuk: Jika mata gerinda selama
penggunaan patah atau jika pemegangpemegang pada kap pelindung/pada perkakas
listrik rusak, perkakas listrik harus segera
dikirimkan ke Service Center layanan pasca beli,
alamat lihat bab Layanan pasca beli dan
konsultasi bagi pelanggan.
Kap pelindung untuk menggerinda
Pasangkan kap pelindung 8 pada leher poros.
Cocokkan kedudukan kap pelindung 8 pada
pekerjaan yang dilakukan. Kuncikan kap
pelindung 8 dengan cara mengencangkan baut
pengunci 7 dengan kunci mur dalam 3.

f Setelkan kap pelindung 8 sedemikian,

sehingga bunga api tidak bisa memancar ke
arah orang yang menggunakan perkakas.
Perhatikan: Nok penempatan pada kap
pelindung 8 menjamin bahwa hanya kap
pelindung yang cocok untuk tipe perkakas listrik
yang bisa dipasangkan.
Kap pelindung untuk memotong
f Untuk memotong logam, gunakanlah selalu
kap pelindung untuk memotong 13.
f Untuk memotong batu, gunakanlah selalu
kap penghisap untuk memotong dengan
mistar jarak 20.
Kap pelindung untuk memotong 13 dipasangkan
seperti memasangkan kap pelindung untuk
menggerinda 8.

f Gunakanlah perkakas listrik hanya dengan

gagang tambahan 5.
Perhatikanlah ukuran dari alat kerja-alat kerja.

Diameter lubang harus pas persis pada flens
untuk poros kerja. Janganlah menggunakan
adapter atau penyambung.
Pasangkan gagang tambahan 5 di sebelah kanan

atau kiri dari kepala mesin, tergantung dari
pekerjaan yang dilakukan.
Gagang tambahan yang dapat meredam
getaran
Gagang tambahan yang meredam getaran atau

vibrasi mengurangi vibrasi yang terjadi pada
waktu penggunaan perkakas sehingga bekerja
dengan perkakas ini menjadi lebih nyaman dan
aman.
f Janganlah sekali-kali membuat perubahan
pada gagang tambahan.
Gagang tambahan yang rusak jangan
digunakan lagi.
Pelindung tangan
f Untuk pekerjaan dengan menggunakan piringan karet 16 atau mangkok sikat
kawat/piringan sikat/piringan dengan
ampelas yang berlapis-lapis, pasangkan
selalu pelindung tangan 15.
Pasangkan pelindung tangan 15 bersama
dengan gagang tambahan 5.
Memasang alat kerja-alat kerja

stopkontak.
f Mata gerinda dan mata potong menjadi
sangat panas pada waktu digunakan,
janganlah memegangnya, jika belum
menjadi dingin.
Bersihkan dahulu poros kerja 6 dan semua
bagian-bagian yang akan dipasangkan.
Untuk memasang dan melepaskan alat kerja-alat
kerja, tekan tombol penahan poros kerja 1 untuk
menahan poros kerja.
f Tombol penahan poros kerja hanya boleh
digerakkan jika poros kerja tidak berputar.
Jika tidak demikian, perkakas listrik bisa
menjadi rusak.

Jika digunakan mata potong intan,

perhatikanlah bahwa tanda panah arah putaran
pada mata potong intan dan arah putaran
perkakas listrik (lihat tanda panah arah putaran
pada kepala mesin) adalah cocok.
Urutan pemasangannya terlihat pada halaman
bergambar.
Untuk memasang mata gerinda/mata potong,
ulirkan mur untuk poros kerja 11 dan
kencangkan dengan kunci ring ganda, lihat bab
Mur untuk poros kerja yang dibuka dan dikunci
dengan tangan.
f Setelah memasang alat kerja-alat kerja dan
sebelum menghidupkan perkakas,
periksalah apakah alat kerja-alat kerja
sudah dipasangkan dengan betul dan dapat
berputar secara bebas. Perhatikanlah
supaya alat kerja tidak menyinggung kap
pelindung atau bagian-bagian lainnya.
Flens untuk poros kerja M 14:
Di dalam flens untuk poros
kerja 9 di sekitar tingkatan
pemusatan ada satu bagian
dari bahan sintetik (ring-O).
Jika ring-O ini tidak ada atau
rusak, mutlak harus diganti
(nomor model 1 600 210 039)
sebelum flens untuk poros kerja 9 dipasangkan.
Flens untuk poros kerja M 10: Flens untuk
poros kerja bisa digunakan pada kedua sisinya.

f Untuk pekerjaan dengan piringan dengan
ampelas yang berlapis-lapis, pasangkan

supaya sisi dari mur 12 yang ada tulisannya

Anda bisa menggunakan semua alat kerja-alat
kerja yang disebutkan di dalam petunjukpetunjuk untuk penggunaan ini.
Kecepatan putaran yang diizinkan [min-1] atau
kecepatan lingkar [m/s] dari alat kerja-alat kerja
yang digunakan paling sedikit harus mencapai
angka-angka yang tertera di dalam tabel di
bawah ini.
Karena itu perhatikanlah selalu kecepatan
putaran atau kecepatan lingkar yang diizinkan
yang tercantum pada label alat kerja.

Penghisapan debu/serbuk
f Debu dari bahan-bahan seperti misalnya cat
yang mengandung timbel (timah hitam),
beberapa jenis kayu, bahan mineral dan
logam bisa berbahaya bagi kesehatan.
Menyentuh atau menghirup debu-debu ini
bisa mengakibatkan reaksi alergi dan/atau
penyakit saluran pernafasan dari orang yang
menggunakan mesin atau orang yang berada
di dekatnya.
Beberapa debu tertentu seperti misalnya
debu kayu pohon quercus atau pohon fagus
silvatica dianggap bisa mengakibatkan
penyakit kanker, terutama dalam campuran
dengan bahan-bahan tambahan untuk
pengolahan kayu (kromat, obat pengawet
kayu). Bahan-bahan yang mengandung asbes
hanya boleh dikerjakan oleh orang-orang
yang ahli.
Gunakanlah sedapat mungkin sarana
penghisap debu.
Perhatikanlah supaya ada pertukaran
udara di tempat kerja.

anti debu dengan saringan (filter) kelas P2.
Taatilah peraturan-peraturan untuk bahanbahan yang dikerjakan yang berlaku di negara

Penggunaan
Cara penggunaan
f Perhatikan tegangan jaringan listrik!
Tegangan jaringan listrik harus sesuai dengan tegangan listrik yang tercantum pada
label tipe perkakas listrik.
f Pegangkan perkakas listrik hanya pada
pegangan yang terisolir 22 dan gagang
tambahan 5. Alat kerja yang digunakan
dapat terkena pada saluran listrik yang
tidak terlihat atau kabelnya sendiri. Kontak
dengan kabel yang bertegangan dapat
mengakibatkan bagian-bagian logam dari
perkakas listrik juga bertegangan dan lalu
mengakibatkan kontak listrik.
Pada penggunaan perkakas listrik dengan
pembangkit listrik yang tidak tetap (generator),
yang tidak mempunyai cadangan daya yang
cukup atau tidak mempunyai pengatur tegangan
dengan penambahan arus listrik pada awalan
start yang cocok, pada waktu perkakas listrik
dihidupkan, daya bisa berkurang atau perkakas
listrik tidak jalan seperti semestinya.
Perhatikanlah supaya pembangkit listrik yang
Anda gunakan adalah cocok, terutama dalam hal
tegangan dan frekuensi jaringan.
Menghidupkan/mematikan perkakas listrik
Untuk menghidupkan perkakas listrik,
dorongkan tombol untuk menghidupkan dan
mematikan 2 ke depan.
Untuk mengunci tombol untuk menghidupkan
dan mematikan 2, tekan tombol untuk
menghidupkan dan mematikan 2 bagian depan
ke bawah, sampai mengunci.
Untuk mematikan perkakas listrik, lepaskan
tombol untuk menghidupkan dan mematikan 2
atau jika sedang terkunci, tekan tombol untuk
menghidupkan dan mematikan 2 bagian
belakang sebentar saja ke bawah dan kemudian
lepaskan.

f Periksalah dahulu alat kerja-alat kerja
sebelum menggunakannya. Alat kerja harus
dipasangkan secara betul dan harus bisa
berputar secara bebas. Lakukan uji coba
selama paling sedikit 1 menit tanpa
pembebanan. Janganlah menggunakan alat

kerja-alat kerja yang rusak, sembul atau
yang menyebabkan getaran. Alat kerja-alat
kerja yang rusak bisa pecah dan
menyebabkan terjadinya luka-luka.

Dengan roda untuk penyetelan pendahuluan kecepatan putaran 4 Anda bisa menyetel kecepatan
putaran sebelumnya, juga selama penggunaan.

Mengikis/menggerinda secara kasar

f Janganlah sekali-kali menggunakan mata
potong untuk mengikis.
Dengan sudut kerja antara 30 sampai 40 pada
waktu mengikis didapatkan hasil pekerjaan yang
paling bagus. Goyang-goyangkan perkakas
listrik dengan tekanan yang ringan. Dengan
demikian benda yang dikerjakan tidak menjadi
panas, warna permukaan dari benda yang telah
dikerjakan tidak berubah dan penampang
menjadi lebih halus.
Dengan piringan dengan ampelas yang berlapislapis (aksesori) dapat dikerjakan permukaan
yang melengkung dan profil-profil (asahan untuk
membentuk alur-aluran).

f Perkakas listrik ini hanya boleh digunakan
untuk pemotongan/pengikisan tanpa air.
Untuk memotong batu-batuan, sebaiknya
digunakan mata potong intan. Untuk menjaga
supaya tidak tersangkut, harus digunakan kap
penghisap untuk memotong dengan mistar jarak
20.
Perkakas listrik hanya boleh digunakan dengan
penghisapan debu dan selain itu pakailah kedok
anti debu.
Hidupkan perkakas
listrik dan letakkan
bagian depan dari
mistar jarak pada
benda yang dikerjakan. Dorongkan
perkakas listrik
dengan tekanan
yang sedang dan
yang sesuai
dengan bahan yang
dikerjakan.
Selama memotong bahan-bahan yang sangat
keras, misalnya beton dengan kadar kerikil yang
tinggi, mata potong intan bisa menjadi terlalu
panas dan karena itu bisa rusak. Lingkaran
bunga api yang berputar bersama dengan mata
potong intan adalah tanda untuk hal ini.
Dalam hal ini hentikan pekerjaan memotong dan
biarkan mata potong intan berputar sebentar

AVERTISSEMENT Lire tous les avertissements de scurit et

Conserver tous les avertissements et toutes
les instructions pour pouvoir sy reporter ultrieurement.
Le terme outil dans les avertissements fait
rfrence votre outil lectrique aliment par le
secteur (avec cordon dalimentation) ou votre
outil fonctionnant sur batterie (sans cordon
dalimentation).
1) Scurit de la zone de travail
a) Conserver la zone de travail propre et
bien claire. Les zones en dsordre ou
sombres sont propices aux accidents.
b) Ne pas faire fonctionner les outils lectriques en atmosphre explosive, par
exemple en prsence de liquides inflammables, de gaz ou de poussires. Les
outils lectriques produisent des tincelles qui peuvent enflammer les poussires
ou les fumes.
c) Maintenir les enfants et les personnes
prsentes lcart pendant lutilisation
de loutil. Les distractions peuvent vous
faire perdre le contrle de loutil.
2) Scurit lectrique
a) Il faut que les fiches de loutil lectrique
soient adaptes au socle. Ne jamais modifier la fiche de quelque faon que ce
soit. Ne pas utiliser dadaptateurs avec
des outils branchement de terre. Des fiches non modifies et des socles adapts
rduiront le risque de choc lectrique.

b) Eviter tout contact du corps avec des

surfaces relies la terre telles que les
tuyaux, les radiateurs, les cuisinires et
les rfrigrateurs. Il existe un risque accru de choc lectrique si votre corps est
reli la terre.
c) Ne pas exposer les outils la pluie ou
des conditions humides. La pntration
deau lintrieur dun outil augmentera
le risque de choc lectrique.
d) Ne pas maltraiter le cordon. Ne jamais
utiliser le cordon pour porter, tirer ou
dbrancher loutil. Maintenir le cordon
lcart de la chaleur, du lubrifiant, des
artes ou des parties en mouvement. Les
cordons endommags ou emmls augmentent le risque de choc lectrique.
e) Lorsquun outil est utilis lextrieur,
utiliser un prolongateur adapt lutilisation extrieure. Lutilisation dun cordon adapt lutilisation extrieure rduit
le risque de choc lectrique.
f) Si lusage dun outil dans un emplacement humide est invitable, utiliser une
alimentation protge par un dispositif
courant diffrentiel rsiduel (RCD).

3) Scurit des personnes
a) Rester vigilant, regarder ce que vous
tes en train de faire et faire preuve de
bon sens dans lutilisation de loutil. Ne
pas utiliser un outil lorsque vous tes fatigu ou sous lemprise de drogues, dalcool ou de mdicaments. Un moment
dinattention en cours dutilisation dun
outil peut entraner des blessures graves
des personnes.
b) Utiliser un quipement de scurit. Toujours porter une protection pour les
yeux. Les quipements de scurit tels
que les masques contre les poussires,
les chaussures de scurit antidrapantes, les casques ou les protections acoustiques utiliss pour les conditions appropries rduiront les blessures des
personnes.

c) Eviter tout dmarrage intempestif. Sassurer que linterrupteur est en position
arrt avant de brancher loutil au secteur
et/ou au bloc de batteries, de le ramasser ou de le porter. Porter les outils en
ayant le doigt sur linterrupteur ou brancher des outils dont linterrupteur est en
position marche est source daccidents.
d) Retirer toute cl de rglage avant de
mettre loutil en marche. Une cl laisse
fixe sur une partie tournante de loutil
peut donner lieu des blessures de personnes.
e) Ne pas se prcipiter. Garder une position et un quilibre adapts tout moment. Cela permet un meilleur contrle
de loutil dans des situations inattendues.
f) Shabiller de manire adapte. Ne pas
porter de vtements amples ou de bijoux. Garder les cheveux, les vtements
et les gants distance des parties en

g) Si des dispositifs sont fournis pour le
raccordement dquipements pour lextraction et la rcupration des poussires, sassurer quils sont connects et
correctement utiliss. Utiliser des collecteurs de poussire peut rduire les risques dus aux poussires.
4) Utilisation et entretien de loutil
a) Ne pas forcer loutil. Utiliser loutil adapt votre application. Loutil adapt ralisera mieux le travail et de manire plus
sre au rgime pour lequel il a t construit.
b) Ne pas utiliser loutil si linterrupteur ne
permet pas de passer de ltat de marche arrt et vice versa. Tout outil qui ne
peut pas tre command par linterrupteur est dangereux et il faut le faire rparer.

c) Dbrancher la fiche de la source dalimentation en courant et/ou le bloc de

batteries de loutil avant tout rglage,
changement daccessoires ou avant de
ranger loutil. De telles mesures de scurit prventives rduisent le risque de dmarrage accidentel de loutil.
d) Conserver les outils larrt hors de la
porte des enfants et ne pas permettre
des personnes ne connaissant pas loutil
ou les prsentes instructions de le faire
fonctionner. Les outils sont dangereux
entre les mains dutilisateurs novices.
e) Observer la maintenance de loutil. Vrifier quil ny a pas de mauvais alignement
ou de blocage des parties mobiles, des
pices casses ou toute autre condition
pouvant affecter le fonctionnement de
loutil. En cas de dommages, faire rparer loutil avant de lutiliser. De nombreux accidents sont dus des outils mal
entretenus.
f) Garder affts et propres les outils permettant de couper. Des outils destins
couper correctement entretenus avec des
pices coupantes tranchantes sont moins
susceptibles de bloquer et sont plus faciles contrler.
g) Utiliser loutil, les accessoires et les lames etc., conformment ces instructions, en tenant compte des conditions
de travail et du travail raliser. Lutilisation de loutil pour des oprations diffrentes de celles prvues pourrait donner
lieu des situations dangereuses.
5) Maintenance et entretien
a) Faire entretenir loutil par un rparateur
qualifi utilisant uniquement des pices
de rechange identiques. Cela assurera
que la scurit de loutil est maintenue.

f Cet outil lectrique est destin fonctionner comme meuleuse, ponceuse, brosse
mtallique ou outil trononner. Lire toutes les mises en garde de scurit, les instructions, les illustrations et les spcifications fournies avec cet outil lectrique. Le
fait de ne pas suivre toutes les instructions
donnes ci-dessous peut provoquer un choc
lectrique, un incendie et/ou une blessure
grave.
f Les oprations de lustrage ne sont pas recommandes avec cet outil lectrique. Les
oprations pour lesquelles loutil lectrique
na pas t conu peuvent provoquer un danger et causer un accident corporel.
f Ne pas utiliser daccessoires non conus
spcifiquement et recommands par le fabricant doutils. Le simple fait que laccessoire puisse tre fix votre outil lectrique

f La taille de mandrin des meules, flasques,
patins dappui ou tout autre accessoire doit
sadapter correctement larbre de loutil
lectrique. Les accessoires avec alsages
centraux ne correspondant pas aux lments
de montage de loutil lectrique seront en
dsquilibre, vibreront excessivement, et
pourront provoquer une perte de contrle.

f Ne pas utiliser daccessoire endommag.

Avant chaque utilisation examiner les accessoires comme les meules abrasives pour
dtecter la prsence ventuelle de copeaux
et fissures, les patins dappui pour dtecter
des traces ventuelles de fissures, de dchirure ou dusure excessive, ainsi que les
brosses mtalliques pour dtecter des fils
desserrs ou fissurs. Si loutil lectrique
ou laccessoire a subi une chute, examiner
les dommages ventuels ou installer un accessoire non endommag. Aprs examen et
installation dun accessoire, placez-vous
ainsi que les personnes prsentes distance du plan de laccessoire rotatif et faire
marcher loutil lectrique vitesse maximale vide pendant 1 min. Les accessoires endommags seront normalement dtruits
pendant cette priode dessai.
f Porter un quipement de protection individuelle. En fonction de lapplication, utiliser
un cran facial, des lunettes de scurit ou
des verres de scurit. Le cas chant, utiliser un masque antipoussires, des protections auditives, des gants et un tablier capables darrter les petits fragments abrasifs
ou des pices usiner. La protection oculaire doit tre capable darrter les dbris volants produits par les diverses oprations. Le
masque antipoussires ou le respirateur doit
tre capable de filtrer les particules produites par vos travaux. Lexposition prolonge
aux bruits de forte intensit peut provoquer
une perte de laudition.
f Maintenir les personnes prsentes une
distance de scurit par rapport la zone
de travail. Toute personne entrant dans la
zone de travail doit porter un quipement
de protection individuelle. Des fragments
de pice usiner ou dun accessoire cass
peuvent tre projets et provoquer des blessures en dehors de la zone immdiate dopration.

f Tenir loutil uniquement par les surfaces de
prhension isolantes, pendant les oprations au cours desquelles laccessoire coupant peut tre en contact avec des conducteurs cachs ou avec son propre cble. Le
contact de laccessoire coupant avec un fil
sous tension peut galement mettre
sous tension les parties mtalliques exposes de loutil lectrique et provoquer un
choc lectrique sur loprateur.
f Placer le cble loign de laccessoire en
rotation. Si vous perdez le contrle, le cble
peut tre coup ou subir un accroc et votre
main ou votre bras peut tre tir dans laccessoire en rotation.
f Ne jamais reposer loutil lectrique avant
que laccessoire nait atteint un arrt complet. Laccessoire de rotation peut agripper
la surface et arracher loutil lectrique hors
de votre contrle.
f Ne pas faire fonctionner loutil lectrique
en le portant sur le ct. Un contact accidentel avec laccessoire de rotation pourrait
accrocher vos vtements et attirer laccessoire sur vous.
f Nettoyer rgulirement les orifices daration de loutil lectrique. Le ventilateur du
moteur attirera la poussire lintrieur du
botier et une accumulation excessive de
poudre de mtal peut provoquer des dangers
lectriques.
f Ne pas faire fonctionner loutil lectrique
proximit de matriaux inflammables. Des
tincelles pourraient enflammer ces matriaux.
f Ne pas utiliser daccessoires qui ncessitent des rfrigrants fluides. Lutilisation
deau ou dautres rfrigrants fluides peut
aboutir une lectrocution ou un choc lectrique.
Rebonds et mises en garde correspondantes
f Le rebond est une raction soudaine au pincement ou laccrochage dune meule rotative, dun patin dappui, dune brosse ou de
tout autre accessoire. Le pincement ou
laccrochage provoque un blocage rapide
de laccessoire en rotation qui, son tour,

dans le sens oppos de rotation de laccessoire au point du grippage.
Par exemple, si une meule abrasive est accroche ou pince par la pice usiner, le bord
de la meule qui entre dans le point de pincement peut creuser la surface du matriau,
provoquant des sauts ou lexpulsion de la
meule. La meule peut sauter en direction de
loprateur ou encore en sen loignant, selon le sens du mouvement de la meule au
point de pincement. Les meules abrasives
peuvent galement se rompre dans ces conditions.
Le rebond rsulte dun mauvais usage de
loutil et/ou de procdures ou de conditions
de fonctionnement incorrectes et peut tre
vit en prenant les prcautions appropries
spcifies ci-dessous.
f Maintenir fermement loutil lectrique et
placer votre corps et vos bras pour vous
permettre de rsister aux forces de rebond.
Toujours utiliser une poigne auxiliaire, le
cas chant, pour une matrise maximale du
rebond ou de la raction de couple au cours
du dmarrage. Loprateur peut matriser les
couples de raction ou les forces de rebond,
si les prcautions qui simposent sont prises.
f Ne jamais placer votre main proximit de
laccessoire en rotation. Laccessoire peut
effectuer un rebond sur votre main.
f Ne pas vous placer dans la zone o loutil
lectrique se dplacera en cas de rebond.
Le rebond pousse loutil dans le sens oppos
au mouvement de la meule au point daccrochage.
f Apporter un soin particulier lors de travaux
dans les coins, les artes vives etc. Eviter
les rebondissements et les accrochages de
laccessoire. Les coins, les artes vives ou
les rebondissements ont tendance accrocher laccessoire en rotation et provoquer
une perte de contrle ou un rebond.
f Ne pas fixer de chane coupante ni de lame
de scie dente. De telles lames provoquent
des rebonds frquents et des pertes de contrle.

Mises en garde de scurit spcifiques aux

abrasif
f Utiliser uniquement des types de meules recommands pour votre outil lectrique et le
protecteur spcifique conu pour la meule
choisie. Les meules pour lesquelles loutil
lectrique na pas t conu ne peuvent pas
tre protges de faon satisfaisante et sont
dangereuses.
f Le protecteur doit tre solidement fix
loutil lectrique et plac en vue dune scurit maximale, de sorte que loprateur soit
expos le moins possible la meule. Le protecteur permet de protger loprateur des
fragments de meule casse et dun contact
accidentel avec la meule.
f Les meules doivent tre utilises uniquement pour les applications recommandes.
Par exemple : ne pas meuler avec le ct de
la meule trononner. Les meules trononner abrasives sont destines au meulage
priphrique, lapplication de forces latrales ces meules peut les briser en clats.
f Toujours utiliser des flasques de meule non
endommags qui sont de taille et de forme
correctes pour la meule que vous avez choisie. Des flasques de meule appropris supportent la meule rduisant ainsi la possibilit
de rupture de la meule. Les flasques pour les
meules trononner peuvent tre diffrents
des autres flasques de meule.
f Ne pas utiliser de meules uses doutils
lectriques plus grands. La meule destine
un outil lectrique plus grand nest pas approprie pour la vitesse plus leve dun outil
plus petit et elle peut clater.
Mises en garde de scurit additionnelles spcifiques aux oprations de trononnage abrasif
f Ne pas coincer la meule trononner ou
ne pas appliquer une pression excessive.
Ne pas tenter dexcuter une profondeur de
coupe excessive. Une contrainte excessive
de la meule augmente la charge et la probabilit de torsion ou de blocage de la meule
dans la coupe et la possibilit de rebond ou
de rupture de la meule.

f Ne pas vous placer dans lalignement de la

meule en rotation ni derrire celle-ci. Lorsque la meule, au point de fonctionnement,
sloigne de votre corps, le rebond ventuel
peut propulser la meule en rotation et loutil
lectrique directement sur vous.
f Lorsque la meule se bloque ou lorsque la
coupe est interrompue pour une raison
quelconque, mettre loutil lectrique hors
tension et tenir loutil lectrique immobile
jusqu ce que la meule soit larrt complet. Ne jamais tenter denlever le disque
trononner de la coupe tandis que la meule
est en mouvement sinon le rebond peut se
produire. Rechercher et prendre des mesures correctives afin dempcher que la meule
ne se grippe.
f Ne pas reprendre lopration de coupe dans
la pice usiner. Laisser la meule atteindre
sa pleine vitesse et rentrer avec prcaution
dans le tronon. La meule peut se coincer,
venir chevaucher la pice usiner ou effectuer un rebond si lon fait redmarrer loutil
lectrique dans la pice usiner.
f Prvoir un support de panneaux ou de toute
pice usiner surdimensionne pour rduire le risque de pincement et de rebond de la
meule. Les grandes pices usiner ont tendance flchir sous leur propre poids. Les
supports doivent tre placs sous la pice
usiner prs de la ligne de coupe et prs du
bord de la pice des deux cts de la meule.
f Soyez particulirement prudent lorsque
vous faites une coupe en retrait dans
des parois existantes ou dans dautres zones sans visibilit. La meule saillante peut
couper des tuyaux de gaz ou deau, des cblages lectriques ou des objets, ce qui peut
entraner des rebonds.
oprations de ponage
f Ne pas utiliser de papier abrasif trop surdimensionn pour les disques de ponage.
Suivre les recommandations des fabricants,
lors du choix du papier abrasif. Un papier
abrasif plus grand stendant au-del du patin de ponage prsente un danger de lacration et peut provoquer un accrochage, une
dchirure du disque ou un rebond.

oprations de brossage mtallique
f Garder lesprit que des brins mtalliques
sont rejets par la brosse mme au cours
dune opration ordinaire. Ne pas soumettre une trop grande contrainte les fils mtalliques en appliquant une charge excessive la brosse. Les brins mtalliques peuvent
aisment pntrer dans des vtements lgers et/ou la peau.
f Si lutilisation dun protecteur est recommande pour le brossage mtallique, ne
permettre aucune gne du touret ou de la
brosse mtallique au protecteur. Le touret
ou la brosse mtallique peut se dilater en diamtre en raison de la charge de travail et des
forces centrifuges.
Avertissements supplmentaires
Porter des lunettes de protection.
f Utiliser des dtecteurs appropris afin de

dceler des conduites caches ou consulter
les entreprises dapprovisionnement locales. Un contact avec des lignes lectriques
peut provoquer un incendie ou un choc lectrique. Un endommagement dune conduite
de gaz peut provoquer une explosion. La perforation dune conduite deau provoque des
dgts matriels et peut provoquer un choc
lectrique.
f Dverrouiller linterrupteur Marche/Arrt
et le mettre dans la position darrt, si lalimentation en courant est interrompue,
par ex. par une panne de courant ou quand
la fiche du secteur est dbranche. Ceci
permet dviter un redmarrage incontrl.
f Pour les travaux de ponage de la pierre,
utiliser un dispositif d'aspiration des poussires. Laspirateur doit tre agr pour
laspiration des poussires de pierre. Lutilisation de tels dispositifs rduit les dangers
venant des poussires.

f Pour les travaux de trononnage de la pierre, utiliser un dispositif de guidage glissire. Sans guidage latral, le disque trononner peut saccrocher et causer un contrecoup.
f Toujours bien tenir loutil lectroportatif
des deux mains et veiller toujours garder
une position de travail stable. Avec les deux
mains, loutil lectroportatif est guid de manire plus sre.
f Bloquer la pice travailler. Une pice travailler serre par des dispositifs de serrage
appropris ou dans un tau est fixe de manire plus sre que tenue dans les mains.
f Maintenir propre lespace de travail. Les
mlanges de matriaux sont particulirement dangereux. Les poussires de mtaux
lgers peuvent tre explosives ou inflammables.
f Ne jamais utiliser un outil lectroportatif
dont le cble est endommag. Ne pas toucher un cble endommag et retirer la fiche du cble dalimentation de la prise de
courant, au cas o le cble aurait t endommag lors du travail. Un cble endommag augmente le risque de choc lectrique.

Montage des capots de protection
f Avant deffectuer des travaux sur loutil
lectroportatif, retirez la fiche de la prise
de courant.

de protection/loutil lectroportatif taient endommags, loutil lectroportatif doit tre immdiatement envoy auprs dun service aprsvente, pour les adresses voir chapitre Service

Carter de protection pour le meulage
Monter le capot de protection 8 sur la broche.
Adapter la position du capot de protection 8 aux
exigences des travaux effectuer. Verrouillez le
capot de protection 8 en serrant la vis de blocage
7 au moyen de la cl mle pour vis six pans 3.

f Rglez le capot de protection 8 de sorte

empcher une projection dtincelles en direction de lutilisateur.
Note : Le dispositif de codage se trouvant sur le
capot de protection 8 assure que seul le capot

f Pour le trononnage du mtal, utilisez toujours le carter de protection pour le trononnage 13.
f Pour le trononnage de la pierre, utilisez
toujours le carter daspiration pour le trononnage avec glissire de guidage 20.
Le carter de protection pour le trononnage 13
se monte comme le carter de protection pour le
meulage 8.

f Nutilisez loutil lectroportatif quavec la

poigne supplmentaire 5.
Veillez aux dimensions des outils de meulage.

Lalsage du disque doit correspondre au flasque de fixation. N utilisez pas dadaptateur ni
de raccord de rduction.
En fonction du mode de travail, vissez la poigne

supplmentaire 5 du ct droit ou gauche du
carter dengrenage.
Poigne supplmentaire amortissant les vibrations
La poigne supplmentaire amortissant les vibrations assure une rduction des vibrations et,
en consquence, un travail plus confortable en
toute scurit.
f Neffectuez aucune modification sur la poigne supplmentaire.
Ne continuez pas travailler avec une poigne
supplmentaire endommage.
Protge-main
f Lors de travaux avec le plateau de ponage
en caoutchouc 16 ou la brosse boisseau/la
brosse circulaire/le plateau lamelles,
montez toujours le protge-main 15.
Montez le protge-main 15 avec la poigne supplmentaire 5.
Montage des outils de meulage

de courant.
f Les disques meuler et trononner chauffent normment durant le travail ; ne les
prenez pas en main pas avant quils ne
soient compltement refroidis.
Nettoyez la broche dentranement 6 ainsi que
toutes les pices monter.
Afin de serrer et de desserrer les outils de meulage, appuyez sur le dispositif de blocage de la
broche 1 afin de bloquer la broche dentranement.
Lors de lutilisation de disques trononner diamants, veillez ce que la flche indiquant le

sens de rotation qui se trouve sur le disque
trononner diamant concide avec le sens de
rotation de loutil lectroportatif (voir la flche
indiquant le sens de rotation qui se trouve sur le
carter dengrenage).
Lordre du montage est indiqu sur la page des
graphiques.
Pour fixer le disque meuler/ trononner, desserrez lcrou de serrage 11 et serrez-le laide
de la cl ergots, voir chapitre Ecrou de serrage rapide .
f Aprs avoir mont le disque meuler et
avant de mettre lappareil en fonctionnement, contrlez si loutil est correctement
mont et sil peut tourner librement. Assurez-vous que le disque meuler ne frle pas
le carter de protection ni dautres lments.
Bride de fixation pour broche
porte-outil M 14 : Le flasque
de fixation 9 est dot dune
pice en matire plastique
(rondelle lastique) se trouvant autour de lergot de centrage. Au cas o cette rondelle
lastique ferait dfaut ou
quelle serait endommage, il faut absolument
la remplacer (Rfrence 1 600 210 039) avant
de monter le flasque de fixation 9.

Ecrou de serrage rapide

Pour permettre un remplacement facile des disques trononner sans utilisation dautres
outils, il est possible dutiliser lcrou de serrage
rapide 12 au lieu de lcrou de serrage 11.
Un crou de serrage rapide non endommag

qui a t correctement
fix peut tre desserre la main en tournant lanneau molet
dans le sens inverse
des aiguilles dune
montre.
Ne desserrez jamais
un crou de serrage
rapide bloqu au moyen dune pince mais utilisez une cl ergots. Positionnez la cl ergots
conformment la figure.
Outils de meulage autoriss

Tous les outils de meulage figurant dans ces instructions dutilisation peuvent tre utiliss.
La vitesse de rotation admissible [min-1] ou la vitesse circonfrentielle [m/s] des outils de meulage utiliss doit correspondre au moins aux indications figurant sur le tableau ci-dessous.
En consquence, respectez la vitesse de rotation ou la vitesse circonfrentielle admissible
figurant sur ltiquette de loutil de ponage.

tapes de 90. Ceci
permet de mettre
linterrupteur Marche/Arrt dans une
position de maniement favorable
des utilisations
spcifiques, p. ex.
pour les gauchers.
Desserrer et retirer les 4 vis. Faire pivoter le carter dengrenage avec prcaution et sans le dsolidariser du carter machine pour le mettre
dans sa nouvelle position. Resserrer fond les
4 vis.
Aspiration de poussires/de copeaux

f Les poussires de matriaux tels que peintures contenant du plomb, certains bois, minraux ou mtaux, peuvent tre nuisibles la
sant. Entrer en contact ou aspirer les poussires peut entraner des ractions allergiques et/ou des maladies respiratoires auprs
de lutilisateur ou de personnes se trouvant
proximit.
Certaines poussires telles que les poussires de chne ou de htre sont considres
cancrignes, surtout en association avec
des additifs pour le traitement de bois (chromate, lazure). Les matriaux contenant de
lamiante ne doivent tre travaills que par
des personnes qualifies.
Si possible, utilisez un dispositif daspiration des poussires.
Veillez bien arer la zone de travail.
Il est recommand de porter un masque
respiratoire avec un niveau de filtration de
classe P2.
Respectez les rglements en vigueur dans votre pays spcifiques aux matriaux traiter.

Mise en marche
Mise en service
f Tenez compte de la tension du rseau ! La
tension de la source de courant doit correspondre aux indications se trouvant sur la
plaque signaltique de loutil lectroportatif.
f Tenir loutil uniquement par les surfaces de
prhension isolantes 22 et par la poigne
supplmentaire 5. Loutil de travail pourrait
entrer en contact avec des conducteurs
lectriques encastrs ou avec son propre
cble. Le contact avec un fil sous tension
peut galement mettre sous tension les
parties mtalliques visibles de loutil lectrique et entraner un choc lectrique sur loprateur.
Lorsque loutil lectroportatif est utilis avec
des groupes lectrognes qui ne disposent pas
de rserves de puissance suffisantes ou dun rglage de tension appropri avec amplification du
courant de dmarrage, des pertes de puissance
ou un comportement non typique lors de la mise
en service peuvent en tre la consquence.
Vrifiez si le groupe lectrogne utilis est appropri, surtout en ce qui concerne la tension et
la frquence dlivres par le groupe.
Mise en Marche/Arrt
Pour la mise en service de lappareil lectroportatif, poussez linterrupteur Marche/Arrt 2 vers
lavant.
Pour bloquer linterrupteur Marche/Arrt 2, appuyez sur linterrupteur Marche/Arrt 2 jusqu
ce quil sencliquette.
Afin darrter loutil lectroportatif, relcher
linterrupteur Marche/Arrt 2 ou, sil est bloqu,
appuyer brivement sur la partie arrire de linterrupteur Marche/Arrt 2, puis le relcher.
f Contrlez les outils de meulage avant de les
utiliser. Loutil de meulage doit tre correctement mont et doit pouvoir tourner librement. Effectuez un essai de marche en laissant tourner sans sollicitation loutil
pendant au moins 1 minute. N utilisez pas
doutils de meulage endommags, non quilibrs ou produisant des vibrations. Les
outils de meulage endommags peuvent se
fendre lors du travail et entraner de graves
blessures.

f Attention lors de la ralisation de saignes

f Ne sollicitez pas loutil lectroportatif au
point quil sarrte.
f Laissez tourner loutil lectroportatif vide
pendant quelques minutes aprs une forte
sollicitation pour refroidir loutil de travail.
Travaux d'barbage
f Nutilisez jamais de disques trononner
pour les travaux d'barbage !
Avec un angle dinclinaison de 30 40, on obtient les meilleurs rsultats lors des travaux de
d'barbage. Guidez loutil lectroportatif de faon rgulire en exerant une pression modre. Ceci vite un chauffement excessif de la
pice travailler, elle ne change pas de couleur
et il ny a pas de stries.
Plateau lamelles
Le plateau lamelles (accessoire) permet galement de travailler des surfaces convexes et des
profils.
f Les disques meuler et trononner chauffent normment durant le travail ; ne les

prenez pas en main pas avant quils ne
soient compltement refroidis.
Les plateaux lamelles ont une dure de vie nettement plus leve, des niveaux de bruit plus
faibles ainsi que des tempratures de travail
plus basses que les meules conventionnelles.
f Ne jamais utiliser loutil lectroportatif

avec un support de trononnage.
Trononnage du mtal
f Pour le trononnage du mtal, utilisez toujours le carter de protection pour le trononnage 13.
Lors des travaux de trononnage, travaillez en
appliquant une vitesse davance modre adapte au matriau. Nexercez pas de pression sur
le disque trononner, ne linclinez pas et noscillez pas avec.
Ne freinez pas les disques trononner qui ralentissent en exerant une pression latrale.

Lors du trononnage de profils et de
tubes carrs, il
convient de positionner lappareil sur la plus petite section.
Trononnage de la pierre
f Pour le trononnage de la pierre, utilisez
toujours le carter daspiration pour le trononnage avec glissire de guidage 20.
f Nutilisez loutil lectroportatif que pour
des travaux de trononnage/de ponage
sec.
Le mieux est dutiliser un disque trononner
diamant pour le trononnage de la pierre. Pour
viter les inclinaisons, il est recommand dutiliser le carter daspiration pour le trononnage
avec la glissire de guidage 20.
Nutilisez loutil lectroportatif quavec un dispositif daspiration de poussires et portez aussi toujours un masque anti-poussires.
Laspirateur doit tre agr pour laspiration de
poussires de pierre. La socit Bosch vous offre des aspirateurs appropris.
Mettez loutil lectroportatif en marche et positionnezle avec la partie
avant de la glissire de guidage sur la
pice travailler.
Travaillez en appliquant une vitesse
davance modre
adapte au matriau.
Lors du trononnage de matriaux particulirement durs, p. ex. le bton avec une teneur leve en agrgats, le disque trononner diamant risque de schauffer et de subir ainsi des

dommages. Des gerbes dtincelles autour du

disque trononner diamant en est le signe.
Dans un tel cas, interrompez le processus de
trononnage et laissez tourner pendant quelque
temps le disque trononner diamant pleine
vitesse en marche vide pour le laisser se refroidir.
Un ralentissement perceptible du rythme de travail et des gerbes dtincelles circonfrentielles
constituent des indices signalant un moussage
du disque trononner diamant. Vous pouvez
le raffter en coupant dans un matriau abrasif
(p. ex. brique silico-calcaire).
Indications concernant les normes de construction
Les saignes dans les murs porteurs sont soumises la norme DIN 1053 Partie 1 ou aux directives spcifiques un pays.
Respectez imprativement ces directives. Avant
de commencer le travail, consultez lingnieur
responsable des travaux, larchitecte comptent
ou la Direction responsable des travaux.

Nettoyage et entretien
de courant.
f Veillez ce que loutil lectroportatif ainsi
que les oues de ventilation soient toujours
propres afin dobtenir un travail impeccable
et sr.
f En cas de conditions dutilisation extrmes,
il est possible, lorsquon travaille des mtaux, que des poussires mtalliques effet
conducteur se dposent lintrieur de
loutil lectroportatif. La double isolation
de loutil lectrique peut ainsi tre endommage. Dans ces cas-l, il est recommand
dutiliser un dispositif daspiration stationnaire, de souffler souvent au travers des
oues de ventilation et de monter un disjoncteur diffrentiel (FI).
