## Reflection on Peer Observation Feedback

Student Teacher Observed Me: Badreyya Abdullah Alshemaili
Lesson: Reviewing the division with big numbers with one-digit (lesson 4).
My pair in teaching practice decided to observe me for two times to choose the best one
and gives me a proper feedback. After the lesson ends, the feedback was written, and we share
all the right, and wrong things happen during the class. The weaknesses that I should work on
and the improvements that I did it in the class.

Regarding this lesson, it is one of the lessons that I did much more activities that I focused
on. I notice that students usually need practicing to scaffolds and get the ideas of the math
concept, so I decide to do a review for them and lesson with several practices (figure 1). For
instance, if the students do not realize the division with smaller numbers, they will not be able
to identify the division with significant numbers.

In terms of strength area, I did better on grouping students during activities. I feel that
when I used technology, I made a whole cluster system to attract their attention on having goof
review. The manipulative that I used it base ten blocks, I used it twice but in different

concepts. I can see that math is flexible to use a different tool, but most importantly delivering
the concept. The other thing that my observer is telling me about is having good students
choosing in the class randomly. Because of this, students encouragement is high, and I feel
like all students involved in the task.
The weaknesses areas that my peer observer focuses on are that one of the personal issues.
It is my voice, higher or out loud my voice as it is a beginning of teaching students. It is the
second week, and I feel that I need time to spend with students to have good relationship and
communication. By the time, I will be able to overcome this issue when I realize when I must
use low/high voice which I mean the intonation of the voice.
The other weaknesses that we identified together are making sure all students listening and
check their work. When students working in the activity, they were not focused. I was confused
because some students are not listening and chatting. While I explained the steps of how to do
the activity. In the next lesson, I will time the activity for students and I will use eye contact
nicely with those who chatting to see the teacher and stop talking.

In the end, there are good things and suggestions to improve my weaknesses points next
time. In my view, my peer was honest while giving me the feedback and she gave me
appropriate suggestions and a highly recommended advice which makes me feels comfortable
