The World Cup this ain’t

By BERNARD HUNT

For better or worse, this is the captain speaking. Well, the soon-to-be captain, anyway. In two weeks, I take over as president of the Rotary Club of Las Vegas West from the redoubtable Steve Segal. Steve and the marvelous Steve Halvorson who preceded him both are hard-working businessmen. Both had to tread the grapes of labor during their tenures as Rotary president. helping to organize and raise funds for international Rotary clean water projects. Our club was one of 10 chosen around the country for a program by Cora’s Rotary Rail and Water Tour.

Because Las Vegas is not served by rail anymore, Cora’s Rail and Water Tour turned into a Greyhound bus tour for our neck of the woods. After speaking at our club, she boarded the Greyhound for the Catalina Rotary Club of Tucson, Ariz.
