Application area

Compact, stabile, low vibration construction of stainless steel 1.4301 and


aluminium, which operates according to
the proven rotation principle and designed for a long service life with higher
performance.

Reimelt sifters are used for the gentle removal of foreign objects and
coarse materials in an automated
system. Reimelt, with over 100 years
of experience, offers dependable and
safely functioning units used to protect
down-stream equipment, loosen up
product, fractionation and control sifting. When used as an in-line sifter, it
can be connected directly into the
pressure or vacuum conveying line for
a pressure-tight operation of up to 0,8
bar.

Areas of application in the food, chemical, plastics processing and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for
small and large-scale bakeries as:

sifter screen. Feeding screw and beater
bars are equipped with double-bearings
and sealed from the product area
through additional sealing rings. The
sifter screens are constructed from

Performance data and general information for rotary sifters


The provided performance data is not valid for machines with a reduced rotational speed.
Pressure-tight machines have only 70 80 % of the performance of atmospheric machines.
The values are valid for flour-like products with a maximum of 15,5 % relative moisture (like soft-wheat flour
or hard-wheat flour) and a specific density of approx. 0,5 for applications of polyester sifter screens.
The performance data applies for standard applications.
The percentage of fines in the coarse-product cone (based on the processed product amount)
is between 0,01 and 0,05 %, max. at 0,1 %.
A reduction of the through-put rate results in a reduction of the percentage of fines in the coarse material and viceversa.
