COMPETITION  IS  FREE  AND  NO  PAYMENT  OR  PURCHASE  IS  NECESSARY  TO  ENTER  OR  WIN,  
EXCEPT  FOR  THE  STANDARD  CHARGES  OF  YOUR  INTERNET  ACCESS  PROVIDER.  A  PAYMENT  OR  
PURCHASE  WILL  NOT  IMPROVE  YOUR  CHANCES  OF  WINNING.  WINNERS  ARE  SOLELY  
RESPONSIBLE  FOR  ALL  TAXES,  DUTIES  AND  OTHER  COSTS  FOR  CLAIMING  OR  COLLECTING  ANY

SECTION  A  –  SPECIFIC  TERMS  FOR  THIS  COMPETITION    
 
1.  Sponsor.  The  Autodesk  DESIGN  FOR  SPACE  Challenge  (the  “Competition”)  is  a  contest  with  
skill,  ability  and  knowledge  components  that  is  sponsored  by  Autodesk,  Inc.,  a  Delaware  
corporation  having  its  principal  office  at  111  McInnis  Parkway,  San  Rafael,  CA  94903,  USA  
(“Sponsor”),  in  connection  with  the  Autodesk  Education  Competitions  website,  
www.autodesk.com/designforspace,  (the  “Sponsor  Site”).  The  Competition  is  co-­‐sponsored  by  
the  company  or  companies  listed  here,  if  any  (each,  a  “Co-­‐Sponsor”):  NONE.  The  Competition  is  
governed  by  these  Official  Rules  (these  “Rules”).  For  any  questions  regarding  the  Competition,  
the  Sponsor  may  be  contacted  by  email  at  autodeskcompetitions@studentcompetitions.com  or  
by  mail  at  the  address  identified  in  the  “Winner’s  List”  section  below.    
 
2.  Overview;  Objective  of  the  Competition.  The  Autodesk  DESIGN  FOR  SPACE  Challenge  is  a  
design  challenge  for  students  to  show  off  their  design  ability  using  Autodesk®  Fusion  360™  for  
the  opportunity  to  win  mentorships  and  other  awards.  The  design  submission  needs  to  meet  
the  Criteria  (as  described  in  the  “Judging”  section  below).  Each  entry  must  be  submitted  in  
accordance  with  the  format,  content  and  other  requirements  identified  in  the  “How  to  Enter”  
section  below.    
 
3.  Eligibility.  THIS  COMPETITION  IS  OPEN  ONLY  TO  NATURAL  PERSONS  WHO,  AT  THE  TIME  OF  
ENTRY,  ARE  REGISTERED  MEMBERS  OF  THE  SITE,  WHO  ARE  UNIVERSITY  STUDENTS  BETWEEN  
EIGHTEEN  (18)  and  TWENTY-­‐FOUR  (24)  YEARS  OF  AGE,  ARE  ENROLLED  AT  AN  ACCREDITED  
POST-­‐SECONDARY  ACADEMIC  INSTITUTION  AND  ARE  LEGAL  RESIDENTS  OF  THE  FOLLOWING  
COUNTRIES:  AUSTRALIA,  BELARUS,  BELGIUM,  BOSNIA  &  HERZEGOVINIA,  BULGARIA,  
CAMBODIA,  CANADA,  CHILE,  COLOMBIA,  CROATIA,  CYPRUS,  CZECH  REPUBLIC,  DEMARK,  EGYPT,

 After  the  Competition  Deadline.  service  or  dormancy  fees.  Sponsor’s  current  Winner’s  Declaration   and  Release  for  the  Competition  may  be  obtained  upon  request  by  email  at   autodeskcompetitions@studentcompetitions.500.  CalPoly  –  San  Luis  Obispo.  CLAIMING  OR  COLLECTING  ANY  PRIZE.  product  development.  PROVINCIAL.   voice.  All  team  awards  will  be  transferred  to  the  member  who  entered  the  Challenge.  THE  WINNER(S)  WILL  BE  SOLELY  RESPONSIBLE  FOR  COMPLYING   WITH  ANY  AND  ALL  APPLICABLE  FEDERAL.   LAWS  (INCLUDING.  in  the  form  provided  by  Autodesk.   •   Three  Third  (3rd)  Place  Award  Winner  prizes  will  be  awarded  and  have  an  estimated   retail  value  of  $700.  LOCAL  OR  OTHER  STATUTES.  SURCHARGES   OR  OTHER  COSTS  RELATING  TO  RECEIVING.  INSURANCE.  Payment  of  cash  awards  is  made  through   PayPal.  the  entry  that  received  the  highest  score  in  the  Criteria  of  “Software   Skills”  shall  determine  the  winner.   aerospace  engineering.   WITHHOLDING  TAXES.  for  the  use  of  another  person’s  name.  CUSTOMS  DUTIES.  or  cube  satellites.  image  or  written  or  spoken  words  included  in  the  entry)  or  other   documentation  required  in  the  Winner’s  Declaration.  expiration   dates.com    or  by  mail  at  the  address  identified  in  the   “Winner’s  List”  section  below.  Please  be  aware  that  Competition  prizes  may  not  be  usable  or   function  properly  in  certain  countries  and  Sponsor  has  no  knowledge  relating  to  the  use  or   functionality  of  such  prizes  in  those  countries.  RULES  AND   REGULATIONS  RELATING  TO  THE  PRIZES  AND  FOR  BEARING  ANY  PERSONAL  INCOME.  All   prizes  that  are  items  or  services  which  are  subject  to  third  party  terms  and  conditions  or   restrictions.  NASA  astronaut  (Presiding  Judge)   •   Dara  Dotz.   The Judges will include the following: •   Dr.  All  Winners   will  be  contacted  by  the  Autodesk  to  collect  student  contact  information  and  any  other   information  needed  to  send  the  prize  to  a  winner.  In  the  event  of  a  tie.     •   Three  Fourth  (4th)  Place  Award  Winner  prizes  will  be  awarded  and  have  an  estimated   retail  value  of  $500.000.  and  provided  any  additional  consents  (including   third  party  consents.  See   “Prize  Terms”  and  “Announcement.  principle  designer  and  co-­‐founder   •   Jordi  Puig-­‐Suari.  One  Judge  will  be  named  by  Sponsor  as  the  Presiding   Judge.     7.  professor  and  aerospace  technology   developer     .  OR  OTHER  TAXES.  likeness.  acceptance  and  use  of  the  prizes  are  subject  to  all  eligibility  criteria.  WITHOUT  LIMITATION.    Sponsor  will  establish  a  panel  of  three   (3)  individuals  (the  “Judges”)  with  experience  in  product  design.  Yvonne  Cagle.  Judging.  IF  APPLICABLE).  COMMON  LAW.  and  shall  have  no  responsibility  for  determining.  VAT.  to   ensure  basic  compliance  with  the  entry  requirements.  Award  of  Prizes”  sections  for  additional  details.  FEES.     Any  awarded  prizes  will  be  provided  to  a  winner  only  after  the  winner  has  signed  any  Winner’s   Declaration  and  Release  required  hereunder.    If  a  tie   remains  at  that  point.•   Three  (3)  Judges  Award  Winner  prizes  will  be  awarded  and  have  an  estimated  retail   value  of  $1.  and  all  other  terms  and  conditions  (if  any)  imposed  by  the   issuer  of  such  items  or  services.  the  Presiding  Judge’s  score  shall  determine  the  winner.  STATE.   whether  the  winner(s)  are  permitted  to  operate  or  use  the  prizes  in  any  particular  country.  Field  Ready.       •   Two  Second  (2nd)  Place  Award  Winner  prizes  will  be  awarded  and  have  an  estimated   retail  value  of  $1.  all  submissions  will  be  screened  by  Autodesk.

   Judges  will  select  the  winners  based  on  the  following  criteria  (“Criteria”).8.       Substitute  Judges  and  Disqualification:     The  Judges  have  the  right  to  disqualify  any  entry  that  is  not  in  compliance  with  these  Rules.   Sponsor  reserves  the  right  to  substitute  Judges  of  comparable  qualification.  the  next-­‐highest  scoring  entry  will  be  selected  as   the  alternate  winner.  to  be  determined   by  Sponsor  in  its  discretion.  as  evaluated  by  the  Judges  in  the  manner  described  above.  2016.  Sponsor   does  not  know  in  advance  the  number  of  eligible  entries  that  will  be  received.           .       The  winner(s)  will  be  notified  via  email  within  two  weeks  of  selection  of  the  winner(s).  The  standards  applied  during  the  judging  process  focuses  on   assessing  each  entry’s  properties.   Sponsor  will  announce  prize  winners  on  or  around  September  21.  THE  DECISIONS  OF  SPONSOR  AND  THE   JUDGES  WILL  BE  FINAL.  providing  a  positive  user  experience   Creativity  (20%):  Degree  to  which  the  entry  reflects  cleverness  and  originality  of  thought  to   support  the  challenge  which  adds  value     Selection  of  Winners:  The  full  panel  of  Judges  will  apply  the  Criteria  to  evaluate  the  winners.  Following  confirmation  of  winner(s)  eligibility  and  signing  of  the  winners’  declarations.       Size  of  Entry  Pool.  as  described   above.  Criteria.  In  the  event  that  one  or  more  of  the  identified  Judges  are  unavailable.  an  entrant  acquires  no   automatic  right  to  be  awarded  a  prize.  SPONSOR  WILL  NOT  CORRESPOND  WITH  ENTRANTS  ABOUT  THE   DECISIONS  OF  THE  JUDGES  OR  THE  DETERMINATION  OF  THE  WINNERS  OTHER  THAN  AS   EXPRESSLY  PROVIDED  IN  THE  RULES.     Winning  entries  will  be  selected  by  the  Judges  in  accordance  with  the  Criteria  as  described  in   these  Rules.  By  the  mere  submission  of  an  entry.       THE  NUMBER  OF  “LIKES”  EACH  ENTRY  RECEIVES  ON  THE  SPONSOR  SITE  IS  NOT  ONE  OF  THE   CRITERIA  USED  BY  JUDGES  TO  SELECT  THE  WINNER(S).    Each   winner  will  be  awarded  only  the  prize(s)  for  which  that  winner  was  selected.   The  entries  with  the  three  highest  aggregate  scores  will  be  selected  as  the  Judges  Award   Winners  and  the  entry  with  the  next  highest  scores  will  receive  the  next  tier  of  prize  and  so  on   until  all  ten  prizes  have  been  awarded  in  accordance  with  the  Prizes  section  above.  The  chances  of  any  entry  winning  a  prize  depends  on  the  number  of  eligible  entries   received  between  the  Start  Date  and  the  Deadline  and  the  quality  of  that  entry  as  compared  to   the  other  eligible  entries.  The  Competition  is  entirely  skill-­‐based  and  contains  no   Criteria  based  on  chance.  each  of   which  will  be  given  specific  weight  as  indicated  by  the  percentages  below:   Innovation  and  Inventiveness  (30%):  The  design  “pushes  the  envelope”  and  enhances  user   experience   Software  Skills  (30%):  Degree  of  technical  skill  demonstrated  and  quality  of  design  submitted   based  on  technical  requirements   Suitability  to  Purpose  (20%):  Degree  to  which  the  design  is  useful  and  suited  to  serving  its   purpose  well.  In   the  event  that  a  winning  entry  is  disqualified.

 or   their  respective  parents.   SECTION  B  –  ADDITIONAL  TERMS  FOR  THIS  COMPETITION       1.  suppliers.  lost.  Table  of  Denial  Orders.  macro.  List  of  Specially  Designated  Nationals  and  Blocked  Persons.  as  well  as  members  of  their  households  or  their  immediate  families  (i.   The  Competition  is  governed  by  Sponsor's  Terms  of  Use  and  Privacy  Statement  and  other   policies  (collectively.  which  shall  be  made  in  all  cases   in  their  sole  and  absolute  discretion  and  are  final  and  binding  on  all  matters  relating  to  the   Competition.  Registering  for  an  account  with  the  Sponsor  Site.  Entries  will  not  be  acknowledged  or  returned.  or  ineligible.  Sponsor  shall  have  no  liability  to  any  entrant  or  any   other  person  in  the  event  that  Sponsor  inadvertently  awards  a  prize  to  any  non-­‐eligible  person.  each  entry  will  belong  to  the  account  owner  who  submitted  the  entry.   Entity  List.   spouses.  and  will  have  the  right  to  refuse  in  its  discretion.   .  If  an  entrant  falls  into  any  of  the  above   prohibited  categories.  order.  robotic.  Proof  of  transmission  of  an  entry  shall  not  constitute  proof  of  receipt.  programmed.  subsidiaries.  although  the  Rules  will   govern  any  conflict  between  the  Rules  and  the  Sponsor’s  Terms  of  Use.  e-­‐mail  address.  Entrants  must  be  registered  members  of  the  Sponsor  Site  to  enter  the  Competition.  or  other  law  or  any  of  Sponsor’s  Policies.   any  entries  that  have  been  tampered  with.   Entries  may  remain  posted  on  the  Competition  page  of  the  Sponsor  Site  indefinitely  following   the  Deadline.  Judges.  each  entrant  agrees  to  abide  by  the  terms   of  these  Rules  and  by  the  decisions  of  Sponsor  and  the  Judges.  By  entering  the  Competition.   (b)  an  official  or  representative  of  any  foreign  government.  or  entries  that  are  misdirected.       2.  Entries  may  not  be  created  or  submitted  through  any   software-­‐generated.   In  addition.  affiliates.  script.  Sponsor  will  award  the   applicable  prize  to  the  named  entrant  only.  each  entrant  acknowledges  and  accepts  that  Sponsor  may  be  prohibited  by   applicable  law  from  permitting  entry  by  or  awarding  a  prize  to  any  person  falling  into  one  or   more  of  the  following  prohibited  categories:  (a)  a  person  on  the  U.  For  winning  entries..     Use  of  Personal  Information.  Entries  cannot  be  the  work  of  more  than  one  person.  such  entrant  is  not  eligible  to  win  any  prizes.  Notwithstanding  the  foregoing.  or  any  other  similar  list  of   any  applicable  jurisdiction.  regulation.  whether  due  to  Internet  or  e-­‐mail  server  failure  or   otherwise.  the  “Policies”)  pertaining  to  the  Sponsor  Site.  which  is  required   to  enter  the  Competition.  These  Rules  are  a  legally  binding  contract.  It  is  each   entrant’s  responsibility  to  keep  Sponsor  informed  of  any  changes  to  entrant’s  contact  or  other   information  during  the  Competition.  may  not  submit  entries  in  the  Competition  and  are  not  eligible   to  win.e.  General  Conditions.  regardless   of  the  number  of  contributors  to  that  entry.  any  Co-­‐Sponsor.  non-­‐ conforming.  or  other  automated  method.  Exclusions  from  Eligibility.  or  (c)  any  other  person  to  whom  the   awarding  or  delivery  of  any  prize  would  violate  any  applicable  statute.     Entry.  may  require  each  entrant  to  submit  entrant’s  name.   Registering  for  a  Sponsor  Site  membership  account  for  purposes  of  entering  the  Competition  is   free  of  charge.  and  for  purposes  of  the   Competition.  corrupt.  incomplete.  Sponsor   and  Co-­‐Sponsor  will  have  no  responsibility  for.   treaty.S.  but  Sponsor  reserves  the  right  to  at  any  time  delete  entries  from  the  Competition   page  that  do  not  comply  with  the  Rules.  late.  or  advertising  or   promotional  agencies.  parents  and  children).  or  any  person  affiliated  with  any  person  or  entity  on  any  such  list.  partners.  employees  or  contractors  of  Sponsor.  rule.  with  equivalent  effect  to  a  private   contract  between  each  entrant  and  Sponsor.  The  Competition  is  void  where  prohibited  by  law.

      Additional  Entry  Requirements.  each  entry  also  must  comply  with  the   following:   •   Each  entry  must  be  entirely  the  original  work  of  the  person  identified  in  the  entry.   No  prize  is.  shall  promptly  submit  to  Sponsor  a  tax  payment  proof  showing  that  such  tax  has   been  fully  paid.  stalking  or  hateful.  in  its  discretion.   Sponsor  has  the  right  to  substitute  one  or  more  items  of  equal  or  greater  value.  such  taxes  shall  be  paid  by  the  winner(s).  or  violence  in  any  manner.  the   entrant  must  obtain  the  third  party’s  written  consent  to  include  such  materials  in  the   entry  prior  to  submitting  the  entry.  If  any  entry  contains   the  name.  and  other  contact  details.  degrading.  to  return  the  prize  to  Sponsor  at  his  or  her   own  cost.  harassing.  guns.  customs  duties.  surcharges  or  other  costs  relating  to   receiving.   if  applicable).  likeness.  without  limitation.  (vi)   dangerous  or  potentially  dangerous.  insurance.  rules  and  regulations  and  for  bearing  any  personal  income  tax.     •   Entries  may  not  violate  any  third  party’s  publicity  or  privacy  rights.  For  further  information  concerning  how  Sponsor   handles  personal  information.   transferable.  Sponsor  reserves  the  right  to  disqualify  the  winner  from  entitlement  to   the  prize  and  the  winner  shall  be  deemed  to  have  waived  his  or  her  right  to  claim  the  prize  and   shall  be  further  obligated.  The  winner(s)  will  be  solely  responsible  for  all  expenses   related  to  the  receipt  and  use  of  all  prize(s)  other  than  those  expenses  expressly  included  in  the   description  of  the  prize(s)  in  Section  A  above.       Prize  Terms.  voice.  indecent  or  otherwise  objectionable.  consult  Sponsor’s  Privacy  Statement.  Winner(s)  are  hereby  informed  of  the  liability  to  pay   all  taxes  on  the  prize(s)  received.age  or  date  of  birth.  Without  limiting  that  requirement.  or  redeemable  for  cash.  laws  (including.  or  other  taxes.  (ii)  defamatory.  which  is   incorporated  herein.  All  values  are  stated  in  United  States  Dollars  (USD).  image  or  written  or  spoken  words  of  any  third  party.  Each  entry  must  comply  in  all  respects  with  the  Policies.  the  entrant  must  have   the  written  permission  from  each  contributor  prior  to  submitting  the  entry.  and  the  winner(s)  have  no  right  to  claim  that  any  prize  is.  design  patents  or  other  proprietary   right  without  the  express  prior  written  consent  of  the  owner  of  such  right.  and  the  cases  in  which  Sponsor  may  be  entitled  to  disclose   entrant’s  information  to  third  parties.  patents.  (v)  protected   by  copyright.  
 .  (iv)  obscene.  claiming  or  collecting  any  prize.  common  law.   including  without  limitation  all  requirements  for  user  submissions.  Each  winner  shall  be   responsible  for  reporting  his  or  her  individual  income  tax  generated  from  the  prize  to  relevant   tax  authorities  on  his  or  her  own  and.  fees.  or  (vii)  contrary  to  governmental  policies  of  any   country  whose  residents  are  eligible  to  enter  the  Competition.     •   If  persons  other  than  the  entrant  have  contributed  to  an  entry.  for  residents’  subject  to  tax  obligations  on  the  prize  by   any  country.  utility  models.  upon  Sponsor’s  request.     •   Entries  must  not  contain  any  material  that  would  give  rise  to  criminal  or  civil  liability  or   that  encourages  conduct  that  constitutes  a  criminal  offense.  VAT.  If  the  winner  fails  to  submit  such  proof  within  a  reasonable  period  of  time  as   required  by  Sponsor.  cigarettes.  If  a  stated  prize  is  unavailable.  The  winner(s)  will  be  solely  responsible  for   complying  with  any  and  all  applicable  statutes.  as  stated  in  the  Terms  of  Use   for  the  Sponsor  Site.     •   Entries  must  not  contain  anything  that  is  or  may  be  (as  determined  in  Autodesk’s  sole   discretion):  (i)  threatening.  withholding   taxes.  and     •   Entries  must  not  promote  drugs.  (iii)   fraudulent  or  tortious.  trademark.  exchangeable.  alcohol.
