Pastor Chanthea giving an update on Cambodia at the TMAI Summit

This past October I was

blessed to attend the Master’s Academy International (TMAI) Asia-Pacific
Regional summit in Manila, Philippines with Pastor Chanthea and Pastor
Sopheak (who I serve with at Shalom
Phnom Penh Church). TMAI is a network
of international training centers that
provide Biblical training to future pastors, church-planters, missionaries, and
evangelists. The network was started in
correlation with the Master’s Seminary
where I graduated in 2009. It was wonderful to re-unite with fellow graduates
as well as meet new, like minded men
serving the Lord in Asia, as well as introduce Chanthea and Sopheak to those
involved in training throughout the
region. Even though I came down with
the flu the second day, it was a blessing to be able fellowship together and
receive mutual encouragement.

With the year coming to
a close, we will be completing our

exposition of the book of Hebrews at
Shalom Phnom Penh Church and then
launch into some timely topical messages on church body life. Would you
continue to pray for us as we serve the
church, and care for the flock? We are
praying that more would be added to
our number as they come to faith in
Christ, and that the church body would
grow in maturity. I’ve been struck how
the book of Hebrews has aligned so
well with where our church is at, and
praise the Lord for His faithful work
through His Word and Spirit.

Prayer Corner:
• Pray for Shalom Phnom Penh Church, as we
finish our exposition of the book of Hebrews
that God would mature the believers and
bring others to faith in Christ through our
witness.
• Pray that God would grant health to our
family. And specifically for Christiana as
she is still experiencing symptoms from her
migrain episode six months ago.
• Pray for Cambodia’s leaders and for
Christians to keep their eyes on Christ as the
situation becomes more unstable with the
upcoming election next year.
• Praise that Nathan’s trip to the TMAI summit
went well.

In His love,

Ava, Paton and John
