Evidence of Progress Toward Specific Standards or Elements to be Addressed/Enhanced

In the process of observing a classroom over the semester I was not able to have too much hands-on time with classroom management as the class I observed was strictly
lecture-based. However, I was able to observe a classroom management strategy or two that I will be using in the future.
Even though I was not able to get much experience adapting the classroom to different cultures as I only observed a U.S. History class, I benefitted from being put into a
school where the average socio-economic status of the students was very different than what I was used to. It taught me that I need to be more open to where and whom I
teach, even if my end-goals are to help at-risk/low-income students.
I have realized over the course of my observations that I need countless more hours in the classroom before I am prepared to teach.

Try to find current educators outside of NCSU that will potentially mentor me and better prepare me for my future career.
