Current trends in wave

energy
Could ocean energy have a key role in future
electricity production?
Ocean energy is safe, inexhaustible and mostly
predictable, offering security of supply, innovation
and economic development ... and the UK is at the
forefront of the marine renewable energy industry.

Our presenter, Prof. George Aggidis will focus on

how wave energy converters capture the energy
contained in ocean waves to generate electricity. He
will also explain the development of the technology
in the 1970's up to today, and the future potential of
this technology.
