2.YouradmissionatthestageofPersonalityTestoftheEngineeringServicesExamination,2014willbe
purely provisional subject to your satisfying prescribed eligibility conditions for the said examination. If on
verificationatanytimebeforeorafterthePersonalityTest,itisfoundthatyoudonotfulfillanyoftheeligibility
conditions,yourcandidaturefortheexaminationwillbecancelledbytheCommission.
3.YoumaybringthisletterwithyouwhenyoucomeforthePersonalityTestandonarrival,reporttothe
ReceptionOfficeroftheCommissionatGateNo.1.

4. You may note that NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE/POSTPONEMENT OF INTERVIEW DATE/TIME

intimated to you will be entertained. If you fail to present yourself before the Personality Test Board on the
scheduleddateandtime,youwillbetreatedasABSENTatthePersonalityTest.Nofurthercorrespondencewill
be entertained in this regard and you will not be called again for Personality Test for the Engineering Services
Examination,2014.

5. You should fill the T.A. Bills, in duplicate with particulars in respect of both the onward and return
journeys and hand them over to the Officers concerned of the Accounts Branch as soon as you report to the
CommissionsOfficeforthePersonalityTest.TheCommissionscontributiontowardsyourtravellingexpenses
wouldbepaidtoyouincashonthedateofPersonalityTestitself(applicabletoOutstationCandidatesonly).
You should collect the same from the Cashier of the Commissions Office before you leave the Commissions
Office.

6. You should bring the following original certificates/items in the Commissions office when you present
yourself for the Personality Test. A check list for submission of documents at the PT Boards is also
availablewiththePTscheduleinthisregard.

i)OriginalMatriculation/HigherSecondary/equivalentcertificateorMarksSheetinlieuof
certificate containing Date of Birth (with a copy thereof) issued by the University/Board
concernedforverificationofyourdateofbirth.

ii)Degreeorequivalentcertificateinoriginal(withacopythereof)issuedbytheUniversity
concerned for verification. In case you possess higher qualifications, please also bring the
originals(withacopythereof)forverification.

iii) Scheduled Caste/Schedule Tribe Certificate in prescribed proforma /Other

BackwardClassesCertificateinprescribedproformawithlatestCreamyLayerClause2013
etc (copy enclosed) issued by the Competent Authority in the District to which you
belong,withsealinEnglish/HindiofIssuingAuthority.ThenameoftheCaste/SubCaste
mentioned in the Caste Certificate must be according to the Central SC/ST/OBC List for
thispurpose.

iv)PhysicallyHandicappedCertificate(withacopythereof)intheprescribedformatissued
bythecompetentauthority(ApplicableforcandidatesclaimingPhysicallyHandicappedstatus).
v)Twopassportsizephotographs(4cm.X5cm.Approx.)takenrecently,saywithinthe
precedingthreemonths.
vi)TheenclosedAddressFormdulyfilledinandsigned.

7. Please note that in case you fail to bring the original documents in support of your age,
educational qualification(s), caste/category and Persons with Disabilities status, age relaxation etc., you
will not be allowed to appear for Personality Test and no TA will be paid, and your candidature for this
examination will be cancelled. The original Certificates/Degrees/Documents etc., will be returned to you after
verificationbytheCommissionsofficeonthedayofPersonalityTest.

8.YoumayalsonotethatevenifyoudonotpresentyourselffortheInterview/PersonalityTest,youare
required to submit the Original Certificates/Degrees/Documents etc. called for in Para6 above to the
Commission for verification so as to reach Commissions Office within a period of three (3) days of the date
fixed for your Interview/Personality Test, otherwise your candidature for the Examination will be cancelled and
youwillnotbeentitledtoknow/claimyourdetailedresult.

9. Kindly make six photocopies of the enclosed Attestation Form. Kindly make six photocopies of the
enclosedAttestationForm.EachofthesevenAttestationFormsarerequiredtobefilledin,signedinink
andapassportsizephotographpastedoneachofthem.ThesevenAttestationFormsalongwiththeduly
filled in enclosed Compulsory Information Sheet for ESE2014 are required to be be submitted
immediatelyaftertheinterviewatRailwayBoardofficeinRoomNo.304/305,RailBhawan,RailwayBoard,
Raisina Road, New Delhi in person/through speed post/Fax (01123389050)/ Email
(ddegr@rb.railnet.gov.inofegr1305@gmail.com).

10.YourspecificattentionisinvitedtoPara18oftheRulesoftheexaminationavailableatourwebsitein
termsofwhichyouwillreceiveseparateintimationregardingmedicalexaminationfromtheMinistryofRailways.

11. Mobile Phones, Pagers, Cameras, Bluetooth, Recording device, ipads, pods, palm tops or any
otherelectronicdevices/appliancesetcarenotallowedinsidethepremisesofU.P.S.C..Anyinfringement
of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from the UPSC examinations/selections.
Candidatesareadvisedintheirowninterestnottobringanyofthebanneditemsincludingmobilephonestothe
UPSCpremisesasarrangementfortheirsafekeepingcannotbeassured.

12.Anychangeinyourpostaladdressshouldbecommunicatedtothisofficeatonce.

13.IfyouareaphysicallydisabledcandidateandrequireanyassistanceduringthePersonalityTest,
thesamemaybeintimatedtothisofficeimmediatelytoenableustomakesuitablearrangements.

14. The discrepancies noticed while checking your Detailed Application Form/enclosures are conveyed
alongwith the Summon letter despatched through Speed Post. You are requested to produce correct original
documentsinsupportofyourclaimonthedayofPersonalityTest.
