ABSTRACT

Automatic door is an automated movable barrier installed in the entry of a room or building

building to restrict access, provide ease of opening a door or provide visual privacy. As a result
of enhanced civilization and modernization, the human nature demands more comfort to his life.
The man seeks ways to do things easily and which saves time. So thus, the automatic gates are
one of the examples that human nature invent to bring comfort and ease in its daily life. This was
achieved by considering some factors such as economy, availability of components and research
materials, efficiency, compatibility and portability and also durability in the design process. Blue
tooth based interconnection with the micro control with human authentication for each person.
First interface on the camera using detection the image for the each person. Bluetooth is open
standard specification for radio frequencies (RF) based short range connectivity technologies.
First identify a person from the scene, and track his trajectory to predict his intention for
accessing the entrance, and finally activate the door accordingly.
Sliding door open the authentication based control human connect the armor control.
Armor interface connect the sensor control for each users. Signal transfer to the microcontroller
devices door authentication wireless connections. Proposed to the each control based on
authentication model services. The first one is for someone coming in and the second one is for
someone going out of the room. The photodiodes are connected to comparators, which give a
lower output when the beam is broken and high output when transmitting normally processes the
control.

The controlling device of the whole system is a Microcontroller. Bluetooth module, DC motors are interfaced to the Microcontroller. The data received by the Bluetooth module from is fed as input to the controller. The controller acts accordingly on the DC motors of the Robot. The robot in the project can be made to move in all the four directions using the Android phone. The

Motivation
The main motivation for this dissertation points out the weaknesses of today's automated
sliding doors in the context of ambient intelligent systems, and outlines the challenges of
interpreting human intentions. The work of feature extraction within the computer vision field is,
although not trivial, a well-known task. The connection between these features and human
intentions, however, is not. It requires a complete domain model of human behaviour, composed
of different movements, together with an inference mechanism for intentions.
This challenge is now lifted from a sub-symbolic to a symbolic level. Making this lift,
generalizes the process, giving a result that can easier be transferred to other similar tasks.
Another motivational factor for this work is to lay down foundations, by exploring the
possibilities within the challenge, for applying the methods in other fields like pedestrian
surveillance. This will possibly allow the methods researched here to be applied in pedestrian
crossings and in understanding the intentions of pedestrians.
Proposed System
The project is designed for automatic door opening system using PIR sensor. Opening
and closing of doors is always a tedious job, especially in places like shopping malls, hotels and
theatres where a person is always required to open the door for visitors. This project proposes a
system of automatic opening and closing of door by sensing any body movement near the door.
This is achieved with help of a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor. A live body generally emits

infrared energy which is sensed by the PIR sensor from a considerable distance. This sensing

signal is fed to a microcontroller to operate a door motor through motor driver IC. When a body

The door automatically closes with a fixed time delay. If there is no further movement within the

PIR operating range. Interrupt signals are used through limit switches to avoid locked rotor

condition of the motor. Further this project can be enhanced interfacing a counting arrangement for keeping

system with an EEPROM (non-volatile memory) to avoid loss of stored data even if the power
