Answer: Measure the distance between the two points on the map, then use the maps scale bar to convert the measured
distance into actual distance.

2. QUESTION: How does the tilt of the Earths axis (23.5 degrees), and its revolution around the sun play a part in the
changing of the seasons in the Northern Hemisphere?
Answer: Earths tilt remains the same as it orbits around the sun. This means that at some point during earths revolution,
the northern hemisphere is tilted directly, more or less, towards the sun thus receiving different amounts of sunlight at
different times.

Answer: Climate is the average of all weather conditions in a region over a period of time. Weather is what you
experience on a particular day.

Answer: During each of these periods, one of the hemispheres is tilted closer to the sun than the other, so they receive
different amounts of sunlight and experience opposite seasons from each other.
