BLM methane rule Navajo outreach education ad

December 2016
I am McKeon Dempsey from the Window Rock area.
Oil and gas development provides revenue for the Navajo Nation, but for too
long, companies have wasted our natural gas resources by burning or
releasing it into the air.
In fact, about $100 million-worth of natural gas each year is wasted on tribal
lands, costing us millions in tax dollars.
Thankfully, the Bureau of Land Management finalized a strong rule to cut
natural gas waste on public and tribal lands.
Protecting Mother Earth and our air is our moral obligation. We need our
officials to continue to defend these commonsense rules and put an end to
waste.
