On-job Training

Opportunity as Associate
Pakistan Petroleum Limited is a key player in the hydrocarbon sector for over six decades with consistent track
record in youth development. As part of its commitment for capacity building of young professionals, PPL is
pleased to oer on-job training opportunity as Associate through a 2-year contract. The programme oers
exclusive seats for women candidates.
Applicants meeting standard eligibility criteria dened below will be required to appear for a written test
conducted by National Testing Service (NTS) in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi/ Islamabad, Quetta & Peshawar on
January 15, 2017.

Standard Eligibility Criteria

Local or foreign-qualied Pakistani nationals with bachelors or masters degree (minimum 16 years of education) or equivalent, in
specic disciplines/ categories as stated below, from a reputable institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission
Maximum 28 years on the date of advertisement
Throughout rst division (60% and above) in academic career, spanning matriculation (or equivalent) and above
Candidates who have graduated during the last three years from the date of advertisement with or without post-qualication
experience

Candidates meeting the above criteria are eligible to take the test relevant to their category/ qualication as per the given details:

How To Apply?

Candidates meeting the above standard eligibility criteria may register themselves with NTS by paying a non-refundable fee as per
prescribed rates latest by December 24, 2016.
Applications sent directly to PPL in contravention of the prescribed procedure will not be entertained.

Selection Procedure

Minimum 60% NTS score is a prerequisite for selection. However, securing minimum required score in NTS test does not automatically
guarantee a candidate for further consideration. The following steps will be taken for selection of 50 Associates:

Shortlisting of top 3 candidates based on NTS scores, against each of the advertised seats in the dened category, will be

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a comprehensive internal assessment, comprising presentations, essay writing and
panel interviews
Top 38 candidates (1 against each advertised seat) under GOP quota and top 12 women candidates (1 against each
advertised seat) under all Pakistan merit will be selected as Associate on the basis of comprehensive internal assessment

In case candidates against GOP quota and/ or women seats do not meet minimum score requirement of 60% in NTS test in a particular
discipline/ category or do not qualify internal assessment, the seat(s) will remain vacant.

oer regular employment to Associates on completion of the contract period.
