Site Justification:
Site is surrounded by Textile Market, Nawab ni wadi & Chawl which creates a
hub for the textile which creates a hub for the textile dealers, manufacturers
and easy to access.
Client:
MANTRA (Man Made Textile Research Association) is one of the eight
National Textile Research Associations (TRAs) and the leading TRA in manmade fibres, linked to the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and
recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by
Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and
Technology, Government of India.
Resettlement Of the Institute which is presently Situated at Piplod.
Literature Review:
Mantra having a set up in Surat has its branches located in different areas of
Surat which were set up as funded by the organizations/government; so it is
a little bit troublesome job to run from one place to another as MANTRA not
only does the research work but also has a short crash course which teaches
the students giving them knowledge for textile industry, its research and
other topics related to textile so according to me it should have a location
where all the functions of MANTRA unite to have a hub and workability.
