Job Description of Commercial Manager

















Manages all project activities from inception to completion.
Manages the Tender Department and coordinates to produce estimates, budgets and
bills of material through a team of estimators and quantity surveyors.
Manages and coordinates shop drawings, procurement, purchasing, manufacturing,
delivery and site installation.
Acts as coordinator for the Company when dealing with Clients, Subcontractors and
Consultants.
Maximizes company’s use of assets towards project completion.
Acts to minimize outstanding issues with Clients / Consultants regarding project tasks,
work quality and completion times.
Manages, organizes and plans all areas related to dealings with Sub-contractors,
programming and coordination matters of the Company.
Trains subordinates on work procedures and tasks.
Submits management reports on a monthly basis on matters relating to project tracking,
procurement and progress. The reports should identify problem areas and recommend
procedures to site progress.
Evaluates workers’ performance as per ISO requirements.
Trains and documents the training of new employees as per ISO requirements.
Ensures that ISO requirements and documentation are maintained and implemented at
all times.
Attends Manager’s meetings as needed.
Tracking, supervision and steering of company projects through Project Managers for
successful, timely completion.
Debrief at critical phases or benchmarks, distribute and implement improvements in
future designs or continuing phases.
Consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods.
Improve and create on processes.
Input feedback relating to Company policy & procedure to continuously seek excellence
by improving, refining & modifying procedures.


Required Candidate Profile :
(experience, education, skills, etc.)




Candidates should have a bachelors degree in Civil engineering / Quantity Surveying Or
should be a certified Cost Accountant.
Commercially oriented with 15 years of professional experience as a site construction
manager / contracts manager / quantity surveyor specializing in Interior decoration of
yachts, palaces, 5 star Hotels
Candidates should have strong experience in project costing and scheduling, preparing
responses to proposals, bid preparation, and tendering techniques, contract management
as well as procurement management.
Should be highly flexible & adaptable and ability to work effectively with multicultural
workforce.
Having excellent analytical skills & communication skills.
