Let¶s Round Up All Neo-Conservative Politicians and Drown Them Like Lawyers

I just read that the Governor of Louisiana is joining the battle to overturn President Obama¶s¶ moratorium on offshore drilling. He says that the moratorium hurts Louisiana economy. Now that is about the dumbest crap he¶s spouted to date, (to my knowledge, that is. I¶m sure this idiot has an all-time dumbest quotes album in the making). Just a shot in the dark here but, aren¶t major oil spills WORSE for Louisiana economy? Obviously the moratorium is only in effect for new drilling so we aren¶t talking about any already established oil economy and after the BP disaster, you¶d think that a concerned governor would want to insure that all future drilling met a safety standard that would cut that chance of another oil spill, thus further deflating an already struggling economy. You¶d think that, wouldn¶t you? Well, not this clown of a governor. Anything Obama comes out on, he comes out against, while secretly accepting benefits under the table. Look at what he did with the stimulus package. He publicly decried how fiscally irresponsible Obama was, but secretly took the stimulus money and distributed it, then; Lo and Behold!, he¶d written out checks with his name on them, taking credit for the stimulus program he decried as irresponsible. He had those giant Publisher¶s Clearinghouse checks made, you know the kind. Did he mention it was stimulus money from the federal government??? Hell no. That fact became lost to Louisiana history. Now, I know he isn¶t the only elected official to do this. All across America elected officials are putting on a vocal show, in their opposition publicly but have their hands out privately. The hypocrisy of it all is what bothers me, plus that they see nothing wrong with lying to the public. That is a serious character flaw. Think about it in terms you can really relate to«.. You are watching a movie with your significant other and the story is about a cheating spouse. You¶re asked what you think about extra marital affairs. After giving it thought you say that there could be any number of reasons why a person felt they had to step outside their marriage. Your significant other goes on a tirade about the sanctity of marriage and how God confirmed the union and how the offending party is selfish and is destroying their mate. Later you find that your significant other has slept with your next door neighbor for some time. This type of behavior is why I do not believe in government. It has outlived it¶s usefulness, if it ever truly had one. To put it in capitalist terms; We are not getting an adequate return on our political investment. Regardless of the political party, government contributes nothing to the individuals it governs, it perpetuates the division of people into classes, is the source of wars, places capital gains over humanitarian comfort and aid, it enslaves whole races, it draws to it individuals of low moral character and criminal inclinations, and the list goes on. It was Proudhon who said µTo be governed is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, lawridden, regulated, penned up, indoctrinated, preached at, checked, appraised, seized, censured, and commanded by beings who have neither title, knowledge nor virtue´. If you¶re honest with yourself, you know that the only reason there is government is because of man¶s weakness. We

like to abdicate responsibility and this is what aids in our neurosis¶. People are by nature good. Over the years we have seen so much avarice, deceit and corruption that we see it as normal, but that is not our normal state. We are also anarchists by nature. Meaning that we come together in the spirit of coöperation with our fellow-man, but we know right from wrong and can live in peace, if we chose to do so. The problem is that change scares people by taking them out of their comfort zone but change is what we need. We honestly need to come to our senses and decide that life would be better without the restrictions of government, (especially its economic system, and we came together to advance as a species. Remember, this government, in particular, was supposed to be government by the people, of the people and for the people. This is not the case because the people no longer matter. Decisions favorable to corporate interests predominate legislative and judicial agendas. As individuals we lose rights while corporate rights grow stronger. BP can just say ³oops´ to a major oil disaster and walk away if they chose but I must pay a fine if ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt in my own goddamn car. Government is a shill for the corporate agenda and has become extremely restrictive. Andrew Jackson once said, ³Unless you become more watchful in your states and check the spirit of monopoly and thirst for exclusive privileges you will in the end find that the control over your dearest interests has passed into the hands of these corporations.´ Is that your desire, someone telling you ³NO´ all the time? That¶s what mama¶s are for. Let¶s stop being comfortable with ³authorities´ telling us how to live, when they don¶t even follow their own precepts. We can govern ourself without ANY interference from government. Society, in itself, is a structure of people coming together for the common good of all, without laws, because everyone knows right from wrong. This means bringing harm to none and helping our fellow-man. Not our fellow white man or our fellow black man or our fellow brown man, or our fellow rich man. Our fellow-man. We look at our existence as we are all one race. Human. We don¶t need laws to tell us that it is wrong to kill or to steal or to cheat with our neighbors wives. That is common sense because we would not like it done to us. This is what the neoconservative and the fundamentalist christian were suppose to bring to the table, a moral foundation. Instead they brought more rhetoric and hatred and confusion and poverty and war. The bible says that, ³And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God´. (Matthew 19:24). Yet for some reason, these neo-conservative fundamentalist are consumed with acquiring personal wealth and quoting ³scripture´ while the average American struggles to eek out an existence and are in financial ruin through circumstances they did not create. Words, words, words. This is the currency we receive for our elected officials and big business. Not even true or honest words. They hire PR firms who can twist words to sound desirable but alter reality. But for some reason, sheep that we are, we love it. The more crap shoveled at us, the happier we seem. I guess it¶s easier to abdicate responsibility to someone else and complain about their decisions than it is for us to get up off our asses and DO something for our own preservation. Well, here¶s an idea on where to begin: Let¶s Round Up All Neo-Conservative and Fundamentalist Politicians and Drown Them Like Lawyers.
