SURREY RCMP BASKETBALL CLASSIC

Dear Coach:
Please find enclosed the information regarding the 3 Point Shoot-Out that
will occur at this years Surrey R.C.M.P. Senior Boys Basketball Tournament
January 8-14th. Teams in Pool B will have their own 3 Point Contest.
Please read the information carefully and ensure that your player
representatives are aware of the location and time of each contest.
Please note:
1) 3 Point Shoot-out Contest
Round #1

Wednesday, January 11th at each site during the half


Games #9 to #16 and Games #5 to #8 in Pool B

Pool B Round 1 Winners will go directly to the final which will


occur Thursday evening before the start of the Pool B
Championship Game at Frank Hurt Secondary.
Round #2

Friday, January 13th at Enver Creek approx. 7:15 pm


Between the two Semi Final Games (Game 23 &24)

Round #3 -

Saturday, January 14 at the Enver Creek Secondary


-at 6:30 pm before the start of the Final
Championship Game

3 POINT SHOOT-OUT RULES
1.

Each teams three point shooter is to report to the scorers


table as soon as the first half of game is finished.

2.

One 3 point shooter and 2 re-bounders per team to catch and


hand rebounded balls to the shooter. (3 basketballs to be
used).

3.

3 point shooter can shoot and move anywhere behind the 3 point
line.

4.

Most baskets in 1 minute will win.

5.

Each shooter will be at different ends of the basketball court.


1 minute will be placed on the score clock. Timers and scorers
will score 1 point for each 3 point basket made. 3 point shootout coordinator will be referee.

6.

If a tie occurs, 30 seconds will be added to the clock and the


shooters will shoot again to determine a winner. If there is still
a tie the process will repeat until a winner can be determined.

7.

Coaches: please have your teams 3 point shooter and rebounders ready to start immediately at half time.
