k experience?
Please explain
BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE, AND IDEAS
1. Please describe your educational background and personal interest. (200 words
maximum)
My educational background is as a potential teacher (lecturer) trained to
become a professional teacher. University of PGRI Semarang is one university
organizing educational programsspecifically to physics S1. I think physics is a
discipline that studies about the regularity of nature so it is necessary for me to
study physics and its fundamental understanding of the natural science. I am an
educator means that I am a candidate who will transmit, educate and provide
knowledge to others especially for students who will be taught in the school and
have a greater opportunity to deliver natural science theory in general and
physics in particular.
Besides being active as a student I also active as a freelance tutor who has
been working on since I was in the beginning of my study in university . I run
this activity because I assume this is important to create habituation and keep
my knowledge continuously. I would like to give influence over more by way of
mutually share their knowledge to other people because I want to be a part of
the agent to realize the goal of the state enshrined in the 1945 Constitution
"Mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa.
2. Do you have any professional or voluntary experience in community based
social activities? Preferably disaster and/or environmental related activities.
Please explain. (300 words maximum).
I have a lot of experience in social activities and the most impressive to me
is when I was participating in the KKN-PPM 2015 organized by my college. When
KKN-PPM was running, there had been a hurricane disaster injured a family
(victim of natural disaster). From there I had an initiative to launch a program to
help them built a residence as well as model projects for the residents there. I
tried to propose this program to my team , fortunately my friends gave positive
feedback about the program. I was appointed as chairman of the program
committee, and there are a few additions that made a traumahilling program for
children in the area. I was trying to have collaboration with local authorities and
from the campus to apply for aid and to ask participation in this program.
We got an appreciation from local government and financial aid from
Bapda, Head Regent and local residents to run the program. From the campus
we received assistance by some professors who incidentally was an architect to
make a house designed for victims of the disaster as well as demonstration to
hurricane proof building. We also held a workshop for residents to provide
socialization on catastrophic hurricanes and hurricane-proof houses.
After Mr. Sugiyanto's house (a victim of natural disaster) had been
successfully finished. Some functionaries from both the local government and
the campus came to formalizing the demonstration of the hurricane proof
building. It was expected that there would be no residents whose houses
collapsed again and for many people who build houses as demonstration house
that we had built, and it could be a house model for a region that had potential
geographic structure from the possibility of the occurence of hurricane.
3. How do you think your experience, education, interests, and activities relate to

provision of experience became tutor in the past 4 years had met with many
children who had characteristics and backgrounds of difference in the project of
Hands, I could contribute to develop the passion to teach children for greater
ease in giving a good influence to raise awareness of individuals as early as
possible and expected in the future become a human being in justice. With
awareness and knowledge, I am sure that they are not only thinkers but also
with the awareness as they also will have noble character which we knew to
them, it is indispensable for a provision to humanize people.
There have been many issues about the decline of morals or manners
that became the foundation for humans to respect each other. I am looking for
news or sports event that can increase my understanding of moral degradation
problem and its solution that I can make provision for the public to make it
happen. I think my experience and my attraction to humanizing the youngster in
tune with the program owned by HANDs.
4. Give us your experience in creative thinking and taking action. We define
"creative" as "to think out of the box" to provide solution. Tell us about your own
experience that you faced to a problematic situation and you performed your
creative thinking to solve the problem. The situation could be from your design
work, community-based activities, organizing events and others. Show us how
creative thinker and do-er you are. (500 words maximum)
I encountered several obstacles including the pessimism of people who
think that there could be no other party that helped alleviate the burden of
natural disasters experienced by residents. Residents felt that there had never
been the involvement of other parties in helping to relieve the burden of
disaster. We were hard negotiating between the victim with some donors who
want to help.
On the first day we decided to make a temporary tent for victims as well
as sorting the debris that can still be used. When we asked for the help local
authorities, the help came, but I thought the assistance was still lacking. I was
trying to make a program of model house of hurricane resistant which I
considered as a solution to avoid the next victim. We tried to ask for help and
links to the various parties to make a proposal to the concept of model house.
Starting from the local government, the Regent, Head, some bonafide companies
in the area (such as Two Rabbits and Garudafood) as well as the office holders on
the campus of the University of PGRI Semarang.
We were helped by one of the designers who was a lecturer at our
college. Once we felt the concept of model house deserved to be nominated, we
ventured to ask for help to the campus of the University of PGRI Semarang, We
also provide socialization to residents about the understanding of disasters that
often affects the area by organizing a workshop with hurricane resistant homes
as a theme directly from the speaker of designer who is also a lecturer at our
campus,
The real obstacle is when we try to reconcile victims with designers and
some donors who will provide assistance. Residents are pessimistic about what
we try and refuse to be invited to meet Mr. Bagus while Mr. Bagus is too busy
with his academic affairs on campus. So we strive to make planning to have an
approaching at the disaster site. We planned that when Mr. Sugiyanto (disaster
victims) and their co-designers meet (Bagus Prayitno, Daru Hariyo Sutaji and
Ratri Septina Saraswati), then also we have to resolve the need to realize the
concept that we made from the alignment size of land plots owned by Mr.
Sugiyanto with a design that will be created, socializing the form of a workshop
on the design of the model house, the allocation and management of funding
that will be needed until the stage of the visit and the inauguration by the local
government office holders at the campus of the University of PGRI Semarang

(UPGRIS).
Although all members of KKN PPM 2015 are educational background but
we have agreed to bring this model program that is not an area of
understanding a prospective teacher, So it is necessary for us to strive to the
maximum in applicating various things and obstacles that we encountered. As
our plan, the meeting went well and some prospective donors willing to give
donations for the victims.
5. In the HANDs! Project 2016 2017, the participants are expected to create a
disaster and environmental education related program that will be implemented
in 2017. Please explain your ideas about disaster and environmental education
related program that will benefit local communities and that you would like to
create. Indicting:
a. Your beneficiary target (local community or population), for whom?
b. Methodology and knowledge to be used
c. How will you use creativity and innovation to develop and implement it?
d. Budget
Be creative and specific!!! (750 words maximum).
I am originally from Rembang, as well as local batik production, Rembang also
known as coastal areas. I think the fisheries sector in Rembang has the potential to
grow and more advanced with several different processing systems. Typically, the
fish obtained directly sold or preserved by conventional method such as salted fish
(marinated and then dried). I think this process is less effective when fish are in get
pretty much followed by the down price (cheap), consequently if it did not sell the
fish it will usually be used as salted fish. Processed fish contain nutrients that have
decreased compared to when the fish is fresh. So it is necessary to provide
processing innovations that can increase public awareness to be able to process the
fish in addition to make salted fish like nuged or some foods that can be combined
with the processed fish.
By providing socialization of the processed fish that is innovative and has
become renowned as nuged products and some processed fish that has been
harmonized with the fish will be benefit for people. This can be the alternative to
make the processed fish to higher prices with better nutrition of the anchovies, This
innovation is expected processed fish that can provide local awareness for the
processing of fish catches besides being salted fish, In addition, people will be
directed to have a good work ethic and to build togetherness in improving the
economy of the area.
Socialization of the fish processing innovations can be implemented in times of
people were gathered awaiting the return of fishing or when the resident fish
processing into salted fish, Typically, residents waited fishermen at the fish auction
(TPI) or at the edges of the dismissal of the ship where the fishermen put the boat
there.
There are three (3) fish markets (TPI) in Rembang but we will disseminate in
TPI that located in the village of Binangun subdistrict of Lasem 59271 (Sunan
bonang Street, km 18) the reason is the location of TPI is close to attractions the
beach "Binangun Indah " so that we do not only provide socialization only to
residents who work as traders salted fish, but also for tourists who come to the
tourist attraction. Before socialization we carried out, we will seek the support of the
local government, the managers of tourist beach in the area of Rembang and some
donors who are willing to support this socialization program,
The preparation phase is to find the relation of housewives that can process fish
or fish processed food vendors that have been developed to become a tutor and
explain the procedure of processing as well as a resource for people to get
information directly, The next stage is to prepare brochures and pamphlets that

provide some information about processed fish products which are the public
interest in a conventional or give flyers to residents in the fishing boat stops and TPI
in Binangun, Once people find out some information about the processed fish
products. Here is an overview of the implementation of the Pathways (brochures,
place and time) -> Implementation (dissemination and practice by tutors) -> FAQ
(Citizens to Tutor).
This socialization requires a framework and action or adjust the measures to
people in the area that has characteristics typical of the coast. Perseverance,
hospitality and professional towards the public response is necessary for the
realization of socialization that can give meaning and has a high interest, We will
conduct a review of the preparations being made at this time, The evaluation was
done during the process of discussion and a thorough evaluation carried out after
completion of socialization and practices, This evaluation is in the form of technical
things that are lacking and need to be improved and enhanced, as well as the
evaluation of services to the residents,

6. Please tell us how your professional and/or volunteer experience will contribute
in realizing this project, as explained in number 5. (250 words maximum)
Being a teacher candidate is to transmit knowledge and as a means to
provide a good influence to the students in particular and others in general. The
experience I have gained over the last 4 years, most of the activity as a
mediator and a facilitator, For a mediator is to facilitate its work for people who
have different understandings to be harmonized.
My contribution in this project is to provide an understanding for people
in the area of Binangun to open their point of view challenged fish processing.
By giving them the fish processed innovation to community it is expected that
there will be a transition from the fish processing conventional way into a
modern way, of course, with the perseverance of each resident. Contribution in
this project can not be felt in the near term, or do not contribute directly,
because socialization we are doing is a preventive effort to introduce something
foreign or something unknown so socialization that we do to introduce to the
community, particularly in the area of Binangun, because we are aware that
processed fish products salted in addition to having a low nutritional value
compared with fresh fish also have a dependency on sunlight so that
productivity will be hampered when there is no heat from the sun. When we
introduce about innovations in the area of fish processing in Rembang we is
trying to help to raise awareness of the local community, but it also will have an
impact on local economy.

I hereby certify that all the information given above is nothing but the truth.
