Business Description
Sanlam Properties specializes in the provision of property related and/or property backed finance
including equity investments in property transactions. The business will also have a strong focus
on the Structured Products market including the creation of property based investment products
and the establishment and/or investment in the property fund market.

Position Description
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities, duties and deliverables for the Property Analyst in Sanlam Properties
are as follows:
Valuation of Properties:

Develop and maintain the various data basis and systems required to perform the
monthly valuation of properties

Value properties in accordance with SNLACB valuation methodology

Perform ad hoc and what-if valuations as required

Management Information

Produce, collect and analise management information

Prepare operational and risk reports for management analysis

Communicate with stakeholders and other parties to provide information

Respond to ad hoc queries from Sanlam Properties team members, Sanlam Properties
Clients, Property manager and Auditors

Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual valuations and income reports as required by
Sanlam, Curo and other stake holders as required
Prepare quarterly SNLACB and PROPCO reports as required

Minimum Requirements

A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in finance or property)

Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office

Commercial awareness

Show initiative and the ability to work as part of a team

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT and numerical abilities are crucial
