sonora
Sonora is a connected device that allows people
to discover, share and learn about music. It celebrates the gestures used to interact with the purely
physical objects we use in our everyday rituals,
blending design into behaviour.

A device to share, discover

and learn about music.
Use the app to identify and send a song to a loved
one together with personal voice message. The recipient will receive the song but will have to be
patient, dont skip, and wait until the end of the
track to know the senders identity. If at any time
the recipient dislikes the song, theyll just have to
put the device upside down and will never know
who the sender was.

Having two functional positions has technical implications in
the design for manufacture of the product. Mechanical joints
like clamping, screws and plastic fasteners are prioritized
over adhesives to resist the constant turning and allow for
greater repairability.

Proposal
Rodia is an apocalypse-proof lamp with a very
long life cycle. It has been designed to challenge
obsolescence. Rodia is extremely durable and
only features standarized mechanical joints, so it
is easily repaired with materials found at every
hardware store.

nice to meet you!

A piece furniture made to

arrive home by mail.
SFK is a collapsible sofa that arrives in the mail and
can be assembled in 10 minutes. Its packaging
dimensions and weight comply with standard mail
allowances, so it can be bought online and shipped
home affordably.

Digital pets are purely virtual, but Fiodor is a bionic pet. Take care of it and watch it grow. Fiodor has
feelings, it interacts with people through gestures
when it is in need of water or light.
