1.1.1Safety Induction/toolbox to be conducted for all personnel involved in the


activity.
1.1.2Ensure responsible supervisor is present and aware to comply with the
requirements.
1.1.3PTW to be made known & understood by all workers and should be kept
at designated work area
1.1.4To comply with work related PPE before commencment of work
1.1.5 To ensure that step cutting or ladder is provided for access and egress.
1.1.6 To ensure that excavated earth is removed away from edge of the
excavation at a distance of 1.5 mtr away.
1.1.7 To ensure that work area is barricaded to ensure unauthorize access to
work location.
1.2.1 To ensure that only insulated tool such as wooden spade should only be
used during excavation.

2.1.1 All shuttering boards should be kept away from walkways area. Precaution
should be taken that all protruding nails should be removed.
2.1.2To comply with work related PPE before commencment of work
2.1.3 To ensure that all power tools have tool guards and emergency switches for
on & off.
2.2.1 To ensure that proper house keeping is maintained and brick, sand bags,
cement bags, iron bars and other tools are kept at a designated place. Ensure that
build up off concrete material should be avoided.
2.3.1 To ensure that all power tools have electrical wire of double insulation.
2.3.2 To ensure that all electrical connections are rooted through proper
distribution boxes fitted with ELCB.
2.3.3 To ensure that all electrical connections are rooted through proper plug tops
and sockets.
2.4.1 To ensure that workmen handling cement and concreting should use rubber
handloves, gum boots, goggles, nose mask.
3.1.1 To ensure that work is carried out after proper shutdown of the electrical
lines.
3.1.2 To ensure that proper Loto is installed and followed.
3.1.3 To ensure that safe access to the work area is ensured and discharge rods
are installed on the conductor to ensure additional safety.
3.1.4 To ensure that work is carried under strict supervision.
3.1.5 To ensure that metallic tools should not be raised above the shoulder.

4.1.1 Any person working above 2m height shall be considered as working at height and such
person whould be allowed to work on safe and secure platform.
4.1.2 Ensure all personnel assigned to work at height are not afraid of height and medically fit for
height works.

4.2.1 Work shall not be allowed to be carried out standing over wooden boxes; empty
barrels and other make shift arrangements.
4.3.1 In case of any practical difficulties to provide proper working platform, safety harness
with fall arrestors should be used
4.3.2 Temporary edge protection with top hand rails at a height of 1.2 m and mid rail at a
height of 0.6 m and with toe board with 150 mm shall be installed in all around the
openings in floor slabs.
4.3.3 For small openings floor covers shall be provided with adequate strength.
4.3.4 Stop work at height in high wind velocity.
Note : Ladders with broken rung should not to be used; Placement of ladder to be in proper
securing position should be ensured.
