As the various administrative Ministries/Departments are aware, Model
Rec itment Rules for a number of common category posts have been circulated
by t is Department from time to time and these have been included in the
Hand ook on Recruitment Rules circulated to all. The Model RRs for the post of
Admi istrative Officer (in Group A and B) have since been updated keeping in
view he change in the scale of pay of the post. A copy of the updated RRs for
these l osts is enclosed.
The administrative Ministries / Departments are requested to follow these

establishment and accounts matters.

other ex cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in
the same or some other organization or department of the Central
Government shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.
The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not
exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of
