EXT. LIGHT HOUSE - NIGHT

INT. MEDIUM SHOT - LANTERN ROOM
A Light house keeper is seen turning on the light of the
tower as a storm starts to blow in. He closes the door to
the switches as a small child's hand comes in to view
holding a small key up to him.
POV - LIGHT HOUSE KEEPER - HIGH ANGLE
The Light house keeper's daughter is shown holding the
door's key up to him.
EXTREME LONG SHOT
The Light house keeper takes the key and locks the door. The
two walk out of shot hand in hand.
INT. LIVING ROOM
PROFILE SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter is shown sitting by the window looking out at
the storm. The Light house keeper walks into shot and joins
her before noticing something outside the window.
EXT. SEA - NIGHT
A boat is shown being thrown by the waves and heading for
the rocks at the shoreline.
INT. LIVING ROOM - PAN SHOT
The light house keeper jumps out of his set before running
to the door and grabbing his coat and hat. He stops just
before he opens the door he looks over his shoulder back to
his daughter.
FULL SHOT
The daughter has moved from her spot from the window
slightly towards the door. The Light house keeper moves back
to his daughter and kneels down to her eye level and tells
her to stay in the house before hugging her and getting up.
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT - DAUGHTER
The Light house keeper walks back to the door and opens it.
He looks back at his daughter and smiles before walking
through it and closing it.
FULL SHOT

The daughter is shown still standing where she was before he

left.
FADE TO BLACK.
EXT. CEMETARY - DAY
EXTREME WIDE SHOT
A small graveyard can be seen with the figure of a young
women standing in it.
FULL SHOT - YOUNG WOMEN
The young women seen looking down at one of the graves in
profile.
CLOSE UP - GRAVESTONE
MEDIUM SHOT - YOUNG WOMEN - LOW ANGLE
It is revealed that the young women is the light house
keeper's daughter and that she has now grown up, indicating
that many years have past sines the events that have just
been shown. She is also seen putting on her hat indicating
that she has become a light house keeper herself before
walking out of shot.
DISSOLVE TO
INT. LIVING ROOM - LATE EVENING
MEDIUM CLOSE SHOT - DAUGHTER - CREEP IN
The daughter is sitting at the table by her self writing or
reading. The doorbell is heard and the daughter turns her
head to it in confused
FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER - PAN SHOT
The daughter gets up from her set and walks to the door.
EXT. LIGHT HOUSE
CLOSE SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter is shown opening the door from the out side. As
she comes fully into view a look of surprise closes her
face.
POV - DAUGHTER - MEDIUM SHOT
A young man is shown to have been the one who had rang the
bell. He smiles and introduces himself.

TWO SHOT - YOUNG MAN AND DAUGHTER

The young man is shown pointing to something out of shot.
The daughter can be seen following his line of sight.
EXTREME LONG SHOT - FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE
The young man's hand can be seen in the shot pointing to a
fisherman's cottage that is located not that far away from
the light house. It is made clear that he has moved recently
moved in.
MEDIUM SHOT - YOUNG MAN
The young man turns back to the daughter while still talking
to her. A slightly sad like crosses his face but it is
quietly replaced with a smile again as he starts to take a
flask of soup from his bag.
The young man holds it out to the daughter showing that it
is a present.
CLOSE SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter is startled as she had still been looking at
the cottage and not listening to him the whole time. she
refocuses back on the young man and notices the flask more
clearly. She looks back and forth between the young man and
flask before shacking her head and gently pushing the flask
away. She starts to turn round to go back into her house.
FULL CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER - OVER THE SHOUDLER
As the daughter starts to walk back inside the young man
calls out to her, commenting that he'll come again tomorrow.
This makes the daughter true round sharply and tell him not
to.
FULL CLOSE - YOUNG MAN
The young man is slightly shocked and startled by this.
MEDIUM FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter refrains herself before telling him, more
calmer this time, to not come back again. As she talks she
slowly starts to close the door between them.
DISSOLVE TO
INT. FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE - LATE EVENING
LONG SHOT - YOUNG MAN

The young man is seen walking through the cottage's door way
before closing the door behind himself.
WIDE CLOSE UP - YOUNG MAN
The young man leads against the door before taking off his
coat and walking out of shot to his kitchen.
MEDIUM SHOT - KITCHEN - YOUNG MAN
The young man walks into shot as he puts the flask on the
work top. He starts to work away with the blender that is on
the work top before looking out of the window and smiling.
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT - YOUNG MAN
The young man is shown to be looking at the light house. The
silhouette of the daughter can be seen at the top of the
light house with her looking out to sea.
EXT. LIGHT HOUSE - LATE EVENING
The camera starts to zoom in on the silhouette.
EXTREME LONG SHOT - DAUGHTER
FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER
MEDIUM SHOT - DAUGHTER
FULL CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER
EXTREME CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER - EYE
Revealing that even though she is facing forward her eyes
are focused on the cottage.
FADE TO BLACK.
EXT. LIGHT HOUSE - DAY
EXTREME LONG SHOT - YOUNG MAN
The young man is seen walking up to the light house on a
summer's day.
WORM'S EYE VIEW - YOUNG MAN
The young man rings the doorbell like he has done before. As
he waits he looks up to the top of the light house.
FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER - PAN LEFT
The daughter is shown hiding at the top of the light house
trying to stay out of sight, hinting that she has has to do

this before.
WHIP PAN TO INT. FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE
The young man is seen pouring soup into the flask before
turning off the blender, pulling on the lid of the flask and
putting it into his bag. He also seen putting on his coat,
long with his bag, before heading out of the door
MEDIUM SHOT - YOUNG MAN
As he opens the door and steps out side it is shown that
shown that there has been a time skip and that it is now
Autumn.
INT. LIGHT HOUSE
MEDIUM FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter is shown to still be hiding from the young man
but this time she is standing in the door way of the lantern
room. She is seen moving her head to the door way as she
hears the doorbell ring.
WHIP PAN TO INT. FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE
The young man is seen watching the snow from his window,
indicating that another time skip has happened and that it is
now Winter. He turns his attention to the blender next to him
as it bleeps.
EXT. LIGHT HOUSE
EXTREME LONG SHOT - YOUNG MAN
The young man is seen walking up to the door once again.
MEDIUM SHOT - YOUNG MAN
The young man takes out the flask from his bag before ringing
the doorbell.
INT. LIGHT HOUSE
FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter is shown to be once again hiding from him only
this time she is sitting at the bottom of the staircase. She
pulls her feet up into her chest and rests her head on her
knees.
FADE TO BLACK.
INT. LIGHT HOUSE - NIGHT

MEDIUM SHOT - DAUGHTER - CREEP IN

The daughter is seen turning on the light for a storm that
has started to roll in. The doorbell is heard and the
daughter suddenly turns her head to it before running out of
shot.
INT. LIGHT HOUSE
OVER CAMERA - DAUGHTER
The daughter is seen racing down the stairs and running for
the door.
EXT. LIGHT HOUSE
FULL CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER
The daughter swings open the door with a look of excitement
but it quickly fades to one of sadness.
EXTREME LONG SHOT - LIGHT HOUSE
Rain is seen coming down very heavily. The young man is also
shown not to be at the door this time leaving the daughter
is standing on her own.
FULL CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER
The daughter starts to look down thinking that she has
missed her chance only to be suddenly suspired by something
at her feet.
CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER - FEET
The young man's flask is seen on the door step.
LOW ANGLE - DAUGHTER
The daughter starts to smile to her self.
CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER - FEET
The daughter can be seen starting to knee down to pick up
the flask. Just as her hand comes in to shot and make
contact with the flask a sudden flash and crash of thunder
and lightning happens off screen.
FULL CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER
The daughter quickly turns her head to where the thunder and
lightning came from. Her expression turns to one of horror.
EXTREME LONG SHOT - FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE

The fisherman's cottage is shown to be on fire after being

hit by the lightning.
FULL CLOSE UP - DAUGHTER
The daughter is still looking at the cottage in horror for a
second before jumping to her feet and running out of shot.
EXTREME LONG SHOT - DAUGHTER - PAN SHOT
The daughter is seen running from the light house and down
to the cottage.
EXT. FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE
HIGH ANGLE - DAUGHTER
As the daughter runs in to shot the fire in the cottage can
be seen getting out of control.
PROFILE SHOT - DAUGHTER
As she gets closer to the cottage the daughter starts to
shield her face from the heat. She looks down into the
cottage and spots something inside.
CRASH IN - YOUNG MAN
The young man is seen to still be inside the cottage but has
been knocked unconscious.
MEDIUM CLOSE SHOT - DAUGHTER
The daughter looks on in horror but quickly composes herself
and starts to walk towards the cottage to get the young man
out. But just as she has taken two steps there is a sudden
crash off screen that makes her step back and look up at the
source.
CLOSE UP - FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE
A sudden bust of flames comes from out of the cottage.
HIGH ANGLE - DAUGHTER
EXTREME LONG SHOT - DAUGHTER - EYE
POV - DAUGHTER
As she looks at the bust of flames they change to a wild
wave hitting the rocks on the shore line reminding her of
how her father died.
MEDIUM SHOT - DAUGHTER

The daughter is still seen looking at the flames in horror

for a second before shaking her head bringing her self back
to reality. She takes a deep breath before running out of
shot towards the cottage.
FULL SHOT - FISHERMAN'S COTTAGE
The daughter is seen running in to the flames inside the
cottage and disappearing from view. A few seconds later she
can be seen pulling something out from the flames.
FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER
After getting a safe distance away from the cottage the
daughter is seen falling/sitting on the floor with the
unconscious young man in her arms trying to catch her breath
after pulling him out and dealing with the smoke. She is
seen starting to put her arms around him before the scene
cuts.
DISSOLVE TO.
EXT. CEMETARY - DAY
FULL SHOT - DAUGHTER
The silhouette of the daughter can be seen standing in the
graveyard once again looking down at one of the graves.
MEDIUM SHOT - DAUGHTER - LOW ANGLE
CLOSE UP - GRAVESTONE
The grave is shown to still be her father's.
PROFILE SHOT - DAUGHTER
As she looks down at the grave the young man walks in to
shot next to her. They look over at each other and share a
smile before both look back at the grave.
CLOSE UP - YOUNG MAN AND DAUGHTER - HANDS
The young man's hand slowly takes the daughter's hand. The
daughter is seen closing her own hand around his finely
accepting him.
