Description of how to implement in the class:
The students will be learning about European explorers where they will be
choosing a person to present their wax museum on. They will be able to use iPad,
computer and books to do their research on.
After doing their research, I will have the students partner up to practice saying
their speech. This will give them time to make any necessary adjustments before
turning in their final copy. The teacher will analyze how they are utilizing the
resources given to them to complete the assignment.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): LoTi level will remain at a level 3
until the students are given voice and choice on who they would like to research for
their final presentation. The project will end at a LoTi level 4.
Description of the sample spreadsheet and graph/chart provided *: The
students will be doing research on an European explorer in North America. The
students will then write a speech and participate in a wax museum where they dress
up and recite their speech. Family and friends will be invited to the school to see the
museum take place, allowing them to see their hard work pay off.
