values of F (x, y, z) = (x − 6)2 + (y + 3)2 + (z + 6)2 on the sphere S.

III. Find a cartesian equation for the surface defined by the following parametric equations, and sketch
its graph: x = 2 cos u, y = 3v, z = 2 sin u, where 0 ≤ u ≤ π, 0 ≤ v ≤ 1. (3 points)

IV. Given: parametric surface σ with vector equation (5 points)

VI. Set up an iterated double integral equal to the volume of the solid bounded by the planes x+z = 3,
x + y = 0, x = 3y, and z = 0. (4 points)

VII. Set up an iterated double integral in polar coordinates that gives the area of the portion of
the paraboloid z = x2 + y 2 in the first octant enclosed by the planes z = 1, z = 4, y = x, and
y = 0. (5 points)
