Dear Sir/Teacher/Friend……

We are here as part of a study that is being conducted in order to find out the
influence and affects “Texting/ Short Message Service (SMS) and SMS Language” has on
your language especially English Language. We are living in a world that is getting entirely
digitalized. Even the younger generation is now attaining abilities and expertise in the field
of technology. Through digitalization, the whole world in terms of communication has
become under a single umbrella. It was in such a situation, ideas and concepts like
Facebook, Whatsapp, and Twitter etc… emerged. Though they enhanced communication,
they had also created a wave of alteration in languages and their structure. English being
the Global Language has been affected the most. This study is attempted with an aim to
find out to what extends such an alteration has happened in English and its structure and
also to find out whether those changes/alterations are a Boon or Doom to the language.

The questionnaire consists of 14 simple questions. Among the questions, the first
thirteen questions are close-ended questions (would be given specific options from which
you have to select the most appropriate option that suits your view). The fourteenth and
final question would have two parts. Part A would be a close ended question and Part B
would be a descriptive one (for Part B you will have to record your answer in complete
sentence).

We need your support to complete this study and make it a success. So we kindly
request each and every one of you to take this seriously and give your sincere opinions to
