OF TRAINERS OFPPT GENERIC SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINERS GLOSSARY OF TERMS TEACHING Preamble The success of the interactions and practices of professional communication need s to have a tool more or less standardized terminology and what to facilitate, r egulate or adjust the concepts that form the basis of trade professionals within the OFPPT . The OFPPT knows a terminological profusion due mainly to the differ ent contributions of international expertise. Malfunctions terminology, a direct consequence of this expansion, have reached a stage that requires an interventi on standardization. Far from being exhaustive, this glossary has the advantage o f providing players OFPPT basic vocabulary that they can use, if necessary, anch or semantics in the regulation of trade. Indeed, the terms selected are among th ose most recurring and most debated as to their meaning in different contexts of use within the OFPPT. In undertaking this work, the development team was faced with the following pitfall: reconciling the diversity of meanings attributed to each term by finding compromises terminology often difficult. These compromises can not set itself up as standards as they have not yet been validated by differ ent users. The development work was conducted following a rigorous process that involves: 1. The constitution of a corpus from authentic documents used in OFPPT 2. The study of lexical frequency, 3. The selection of the most recurring words , 4. The analysis of failures identified notional 5. The drafting of terminologi cal records; 6. The measure of the degree of acceptability among a small sample of users. 2 To fully play its role as regulatory tool, the glossary needs to be constantly f ed by the approach mentioned above. Its dynamism is based on a permanent standby terminology. The development team 3 1. All professional experience knowledge, know-how and expertise to be controlle d by an individual at a given time and that result followed professional trainin g and / or professional experience accumulated.
