• António Mota is one of the most renowned Portuguese writers in the field of ch
ildren's literature. António Mota was born in Vilarelho, Ovil, Baião district of
Porto, July 16, 1957. He studied in Penafiel and there completed the course of
teaching Primary in 1975. Since then a professor of education. Started its activ
ity in Álmofrela Professor. • In 1979 she published her first book: "A Village o
f Flowers." In 1983, with the book "The Boy Louredo ', won an award from the Por
tuguese Association of Writers. In 1990, with the novel "Peter Rosemary ', recei
ves the Gulbenkian Prize for Literature for Children. In 1996, the book "The Hou
se of Canes' wins the prize Antonio Boto Since 1980 he has been invited to visit
primary schools, secondary schools and public libraries in several locations in
the country has collaborated in several newspapers and was intervening in actio
ns conducted by various Schools of Education of Portugal.

Through the partnership between the Parish of Pragal and the Centre for Archaeol
ogy in Almada, is being able to develop new experiences of heritage education in
 schools in this locality. The objectives are to disseminate knowledge about the
parish of Pragal and its history, to raise awareness of heritage conservation a
nd contribute to the civic education of students, providing them with cultural r
eferences. The "Pilgrimage in Pragal" it is a journey through the Historic Core
of Pragal, which explores the place names, architecture, local and national hist
ory, with the help of a script, where curious characters appeal to active partic
ipation of students. These, using appropriate props, are invited to read their "
role" in specific places to stop. The most illustrious resident of Pragal, Ferna
o Mendes Pinto is one of the characters, that teaches us to observe and interpre
t the local heritage. Through the partnership between the Parish of Pragal and t
he Centre for Archaeology in Almada, is being able to develop new experiences of
heritage education in schools in this locality. The objectives are to dissemina
te knowledge about the parish of Pragal and its history, to raise awareness of h
eritage conservation and contribute to the civic education of students, providin
