MSABB.doc SANDBLASTING METHOD RECOMMENDED FOR BOATS IN STEEL environmental condi tions. Select a location protected from rain and sun. Operate with relatively dr y weather. Recommended equipment. • • Compressor 40 to 60 HP. Sand: 0.4 to 1 mm diameter nozzle Sander 8. Agenda. a - Stripped of the boat (removal of all elements bolted). b - Sand (SA 2) inside the bottom with sand recycling. c - Sand (SA 2) inside the hip and low er then higher. d - Sand (SA 2) inside the deck and deckhouse. and - Removal of sand dust accumulated inside without (in effect this would have to start over la ter). • f - Sand (HS 3) and external painting of the superstructure with sand re covered from sand mixed with 50 +50 new (fill in treating internal / external). • g - Sand (HS 3) and external painting of the hull. Starting from the top so th at any draining of rain brought by a violent wind does not carry on the work in progress of rust on the parts already processed. Note: for points f, g paint wit h "Metagrip" parties blasted within 4 or 5 hours after the blast, with dry weath er may extend to 6 or 7 hours, which leads to a single phase of painting a day . • h - thorough dusting of the interior of the boat. • i - application of a gene ral hand "Orgazinc" inside the boat. It therefore argues that from the beginning of internal sandblasting (b) and the application dell'Orgazinc (i) spend more d ays (up to a week). We Tranquillize in this respect: a surface treated, SA-2 bla st inside is perfectly adequate to our Orgazinc, although in the meantime the co ndensate has the slightly oxidized surface. • j - step 2 more hands Metagrip out side. • k - step second hand Orgazinc inside. • • • • • Amount of sand to be used. The consumption of sand is highly variable depending on conditions of work can range from 1 to 3 depending on the modus operandi of t

he perpetrators. Experience has shown that a boat of 12 meters treated outside S A-3 and SA-2 in requires at least 10 tons of sand. Of course it can also use les s but with more work to recover because the sand will become abrasive memo, will consume more fuel, equipment rental will be held for a longer time, etc.. At th e end the recovery will be very convenient . Yards in professional€do not try to recover the sand for too long because of the cost of labor: then be calculated 10 tons for a boat of 12 meters. Some tips for sanding. Equipment. A - What rent sanding equipment? Compressor: Minimum 40 HP, 50 HP preferable. NB: must be fitted with a good wate r filtration system. NB: must be equipped with better oil filtration system and be in perfect working order not to spray an invisible oil film consequence of so me wear and this is very important for the adhesion of the coating. Sander: suff icient capacity to avoid being forced to charge it every fifteen minutes. Please note that the blasting nozzle is generally appropriate 8 mm (you can use a 10 m m for powers above 60 HP). B - How to rent sanding equipment? It is convenient t hat counted only those days when you can actually blast in conditions, that are not billed bad weather days where you can not work. Lighting inside the hull. Ma ny think that the dust of the sand inside the hull does not allow to see the wor k you are doing. This is not true, but you need proper lighting with a very narr ow beam. An excellent solution is to mount a lamp on the helmet type PAR 24 volt s (with 220-24 volt transformer outside of the hull). This light is perfect for the job in hand, these lamps also have good resistance to abrasive sketches. Occ upational safety. Acquiring appropriate suit and helmet of a good fan (whether t hrough the compressor, rather, a separate fan for the helmet). The silica sand s hall be prohibited for professionals who blasted a long time throughout the year , what is normal for some operators had taken a nasty habit of sometimes blastin g without any protection, however, know that with a suitable guard can not breat he a single gram dust. Environment. Allow for some sanding and dust around the w orking area, you can limit but not eliminate it altogether. MAPPINT.doc PRACTICAL GUIDE FOR THE APPLICATION OF OUR SYSTEM OF INTERNAL ANTI-CORROSION STE EL BOAT. First day: 1 - Apply the first coat of Orgazinc. 2 - light sanding, if necessary , to remove the zinc dust. The next day if possible (ideal): 3 - Apply the secon d coat of Orgazinc. 4 - light sanding, if necessary, to remove the zinc dust. Th e next day if possible (ideal): 5 - Implementation of first-hand Metadata Pi Bis . 6 - Sanding light of the Metadata Pi Bis (only if there are irregularities or if the cover was pulled badly). The next day if possible (ideal): 7 - Applicatio n of second-hand Metadata Pi Bis. 8 - Light sanding of the Metadata Pi Bis (only if there are irregularities or if the cover was pulled badly). The next day if possible (ideal): 9 - Application of first coat of Metablack. After drying the f irst coat (normally 2 to 3 days): 10 - Application of the second and final coat of Metablack. 11 - Optional: It is interesting to apply 2 coats of Metaflux Alu (aerosols) under the engine for better resistance to hydrocarbons. Reminders of diluents: Orgazinc: from dilute to the request, preferably thinner 1000 S. Metad ata Pi Bis: from dilute to request, with special thinner, in relation to tempera ture. Metablack: ready for use, not diluted unless exceptional difficulties (con sult factory). Orgazinc: requires ventilation and appropriate protection (see in structions). Metadata Pi Bis: requires ventilation and appropriate protection (s ee instructions). Metablack: requires replacement of air pumped from outside the boat to feed a mask for sandblasting (see instructions). Warning: the treatment of the interior of a hull requires caution. We must always work in pairs to be in constant relationship to avoid any risk of poisoning caused by paint solvents : an operator inside, well protected from toxic fumes, and a guard outside, in o pen taking an eye on the operator and be able to help him out from the hull in c ase of sickness.

MAPPEST.doc PRACTICAL GUIDE FOR THE APPLICATION OF OUR SYSTEM OF ANTI-CORROSION STEEL OUTER BOAT. First day: 1 - Apply the first coat of Metagrip (deck, topsides, hull). 2 - Grin ding wheels, if necessary, to remove the zinc dust. The next day if possible (id eal): 3 - Apply the second coat of Metagrip (deck, topsides, hull). 4 - Grinding Light media or louder depending on the amount of zinc powder formed.€The next d ay if possible (ideal): 5 - Application of the third hand Metagrip (indoor, tops ides, hull). The next day if possible (ideal): 6 - Application of Metagrip's fou rth hand (only on the work lives). The next day if possible (ideal): 7 - Applica tion of the fifth hand of Metagrip (only on the work lives). The next day or the following days: 8 - Grinding strong (you can bring up to gloss coating) of the topsides and deck just before putting the weather to wash neutralizing acid (A) or for neutralizing natural lens ( B). 9 - In case you chose the acid neutralizi ng wash (A), we can apply the system of bonding Metadate Pi Bis, after thorough rinsing and testing the degree of acidity (pH) of the coating. 10 - If you have chosen the slow natural neutralization (B) will take several months to inclement weather, in fact we prefer this last solution safer in advance (which is the co mbination of the two methods may be possible to gain time) but this second solut ion sometimes offers a small problem: the zinc left outdoors for long periods te nds to re-oxidize, and now zinc oxides can sometimes be detrimental to the Metad ata buonatenuta Pi Bis, so it will be convenient, after washing depolluting zinc left weather, deoxidized with a new polishing (stainless steel wire brush or ab rasive light) before applying the sequence Pi Metadate Bis. 11 - neutralized the coating (A) or neutralized unpolluted + + deoxidized (B) applies the first coat Metadata Pi Bis solely on the deck and work dead. 12 - light sanding of the Met adata Pi Bis (only if there are irregularities or if the cover was pulled badly) . The next day if possible (ideal): 13 - Application of second-hand Metadata Pi Bis solely on the deck and work dead. 14 - light sanding of the Metadata Pi Bis (only if there are irregularities or if the cover was pulled badly). The next da y if possible (ideal): 15 - Application of first coat of Metalac only dead on th e deck and work (the first coat must be sufficiently diluted, with its thinner U SR 1000). In two or three days if possible (ideal): 16 - Apply the second coat of Matalac only on the blanket and work dead. 17 - Grinding light of second-hand sure it is dry (which can take several days). 18 - Application of the third and final coat of Metalac only on the blanket and work die, then wait for the final drying, so metimes abbstanza long. Note: If you opt for a carpet anti-slip, for example. th e TBS or Treadmaster) should not apply the Metalac that after gluing the carpet directly on Metadate Pi Bis polished, care should be taken to cover areas outsid e of the mat with the system Metalac, not forgetting to hold the strip glue that comes out in order to shelter from UV. Reminders of diluents: Metagrip: none (o r just water with caution: see instructions). Metadata Pi Bis: from dilute to re quest, with special thinner, in relation to temperature. Metalac: request to be diluted, preferably with thinner USR 1000. MGRIP1.doc inorganic zinc silicate or aqueous phase METAGRIP INVERSALU SHEET. Hi gh quality product, is our best shield anti-corrosion "long term" metals. Easy t o use, non-polluting, our product is also very popular with applicators for its great operational safety. Performance. Perfect sealing and extremely durable in constant contact with seawater (permanent immersion) with fresh water, hydrocarb ons, organic solvents and many chemicals (pH from 5.5 to 10.5). Good anti-algae and ease of cleaning dirt from the marina. Complying with anti-pollution. Perfec t sealing and extreme durability to corrosive salt atmosphere. Perfect sealing a nd extreme durability in constant contact with high temperatures (600. C) so 'as repeated thermal shocks, whether they occur in sea water or fresh water or trea

ted water or boiling oil or vapor' sea water or fresh, or gas or radiation. Exce llent resistance to vacuum (the vacuum of certain boilers, for example). Perfect sealing and durable surfaces already galvanized. Conductivity very good and per fect equi-potential. Combines with a cathodic protection system with sacrificial anodes (which automatically makes the parts). Excellent primary welding: metal elements can be pre-treated welded together.€High resistance to mechanical shock . Formidable resistance to abrasion, the coating can be sanded, scratched, groov ed (with violence and repeatedly) without risk of degradation and no loss of eff ectiveness; perfectly replaces the metallization or hot galvanizing. Perfect fit for many paintings of finish (see additional data sheets suitable for many spec ific uses). Advantages of application. Wide temperature range application (unlik e many other systems of protection). Quick-drying, which greatly facilitates ind ustrial processes. Great safe use: fully bonded inorganic, aqueous, non-flammabl e, non-polluting, no fumes, non toxic, hypoallergenic, easily storable in both c omponents. Warning: our inorganic zinc silicate aqueous phase hardens with heat and dry with moisture such as ethyl silicate zinc, all the tests conclude that o ur long-term inorganic zinc silicate aqueous phase applied, for example, two han ds for a total of less than 30 microns, leading to a protection equivalent to or greater than that of zinc ethyl silicate. Brush: new (which has never been used with paint or organic solvents). Note: str etch the hand and should not be applied too much product. Air gun: a new (or def atted carefully following our cycle recommended). Note: Requires some skill to a void the spraying. Cleaning tools. Exclusively with water reuse when well washed poses no problem. NOTE: To avoid o bstruction of the discharge, if the washing operation is frequent, choose a sink fitted with exhaust section wide enough. Preparation of the mixture. Shake the binder in its original bin, then pour it into an open container new or very clea n (with no organic solvent content)€Then slowly pour the powder mix to obtain a perfectly homogeneous mixture (use a shaker clean, and remove all lumps.) Propor tions: 700 g powder + 300 g = 1 kg binder. The product is so 'ready to use (no n eed for any aging time). Since the density of zinc powder is higher than that of the binder, you must stir the product during application in order to keep smoot h. Dilution. Strictly between 3 and 5% maximum of clean fresh water if necessary ; attention: please. NB: No solvent is suitable for use classic. Pot life. 6 hou rs, depending on the temperature. Optimal climatic conditions of application. Dr y weather, in free air. NB: the application locally specialized course is the id eal solution. Dries to the touch (dust free). 15 to 30 minutes; instant support and trouble-fr ee on warm, can be much longer with low temperatures and high humidity (up to 7 hours). Application temperature too high. If you apply, for example, covering th e full sunlight can sometimes produce instant drying of small cracks (joints in the corners or in areas not well cleaned) that cause concern about keeping the p rotection. In fact such cracks are of little importance, just brush without forc ing these excesses with a steel wire brush and touch up. To avoid this it is pre ferable to protect themselves from the sun before application. Note: excess heat significantly increases the thickness of the coating, and therefore consumption of the product. Application with too much moisture. If you are concerned that t he risks do not dry coating can cause drying "licking" the flame with the newly applied coating (with a properly adjusted flame, no fuel, a blowpipe or propane) , which allows, for example , an application too late to save a wet evening and thus avoid 'a deterioration of the coating in next night is better still take pr ecautions to avoid this procedure. Condensing surfaces (dew point). They are the enemy of all coating and therefore applicators. In summer, especially in hot we ather, must guard against sudden drops in temperature that can make a fast indoo r surface condensation (although this is not immediately visible to the eye). De ll'asciugatura forced acceleration. If you want virtually instantaneous drying o f the various hands, the metal surface must be heated before or after the blast. The coating can then be applied to the hot surface. Drying small pieces in the oven does not present problems. Accidental soiling. If the surface sandblasted t o Sa-3 and not yet treated you accidentally soiling, for example due to greasy f ingerprints, do not degrease with organic solvent but the impurities burn with t he flame properly adjusted, no fuel, or a blowpipe propane gas. At that point it will be useless to expect that the surface is cooled to apply the coating. Invo luntary interruption in his hands. If you had to interrupt a long job applicatio n between two hands, due to inclement weather such as the resumption of work mus t leach the work polluted (eg lye Saint Marc.) And rinse thoroughly, wait 24 hou rs and apply your hands following. Appearance of white streaks and halos. Caused by condensation at night, they app ear more frequently in the aftermath of an application with dry weather, should then brush or wash thoroughly with plenty of lye, and rinsing. NB: they are stil l evidence of a good application: not to worry. Application of a subsequent coat of the same product. Possible after the coating is dry to the touch. In general it is advisable not to stop work to avoid any accidental pollution caused by sm oke, exhaust fumes or dust (you must still make sure that the previous hand is d ry). Number of coats recommended. On average, two hands, but it is essential to refer to our technical specialist as complementary in some cases only one hand i

s enough, however in other very specific circumstances you can get to 4 or 5 han ds (use as algae for example). Note: in most cases an excess of product is negat ive. Applying coats of another product. It 'must refer to our technical speciali st complementary. Commissioning of the coating is not painted. High temperature wet 24 hours minimum. For freshwater and seawater: Minimum 48 hours. MGRIP2.doc METAGRIP MARINE TECHNICAL additional specialized inorganic zinc silicate aqueous phase. (Sheet A) submerged part: Opera + live band waterline: You mean the hull is subm erged and the floating band of the limit is + or - 125 mm above the waterline. A - Protection antibodies. Basic: 3 hands (or two hands with very hot weather) B - Anti-algae: 2 hands (even with very hot weather) total: 5 hands (or 4 with ver y hot weather) Note: our inorganic zinc silicate aqueous phase does not require any other hand for this function. Overlay Belt flotation already treated: E 'tec hnically completely useless protection with our zinc silicate, without further c oating, offers the most extensive warranties. However, you can play it in the fo llowing way: • • • 1 - Neutralization of the area (see below sheet B). 2 - Step two coats of primer (Metadate Pi Bis, for example). 3 - Step one, two or three coats of finish (ant i-algae Tropic_Alu for example). Note: If the boat has been immersed for some time, neutralization should be repl aced with a simple cleaning. Regeneration of quality anti-algae coating. If you want to keep the system (A) first put into water (see sheet C), regenerate the q uality of anti-algae coating by adding one or two coats of zinc silicate at the dock. Bases alloy marine engines. Their protection with zinc silicate them guara ntees against the risk of galvanic corrosion. Alloy propellers. Protection with zinc silicate, not only provides lasting risks of galvanic corrosion but greatly strengthens their seal abrasion. (Sheet B): PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN BEFORE THE COATING OF ZINC SILICATE WITH OUR SPECIAL SUB-FUND (PROCESSING OF NEUTRALIZATION). After applying various coats of zinc silicate, this work presents a treated surface was alkaline; to check the pH of wet litmus paper (Prolabo 1-10, for example) in water and immediately appl icable to the coating; inevitably found that it veers briefly to violet (pH 10 o n Prolabo 1-10). On the other hand, the appearance of satin finish inspires at f irst sight the impression of a good adhesion of subsequent coatings, but be care ful this does not mean anything any further painting without neutralization trea tment should be avoided at all costs, a coating applied zinc silicate held on fo r a few days or weeks but will start after leafing through it, whatever its natu re. WHAT TO DO FOR ZINC COATING neutralize? 1 .- neutralizing acid washing. 1.1. Alla end application, sanding (using a steel wire brush, for example) in order t o remove the surface of zinc powder (imperative), then dust. 1.2.Tamponare coati ng with a sponge soaked in water (preferably hot) which was dissolved in a 5% (m aximum) of phosphoric acid or Metacide II (50 grams per 10 liters of water). War ning: the padding can not be started after the complete curing of the coating, i e at least 48 hours after applying the last coat of zinc. 1.3.Attendere least 2 hours. 1.4.Sciacquare very carefully to remove all traces of acid. 1.5.Controlla re with litmus paper. 1.6.Ripetere the operation until a pH between 6 and 7. 1.7 .Se the pH of zinc silicate is between 6 and 7 (green on Prolabo 1-10) can play with the background recommended. 2. - NEUTRALIZATION natural lens. As a variant there is another possibility (maybe better) which is to allow the coating to neu tralize the only time in this case: 2.1. After the end of the application, sandi ng work (using a steel wire brush, for example) to raise the surface of zinc pow der (imperative), then dust. 2.2. Wait at least two months if the work is protec

ted or exposed on the outside with dry weather (may be just a shorter time if th e work is exposed to the elements, especially in winter). 03.02. Check with the litmus test the pH of the coating. 2.4. When the cover is completely neutralized lye (lye with St Marc, for example) by rubbing vigorously with a brush hard eno ugh to clean up. 2.5. After washing but before depolluting clothe it is importan t to smooth zinc (steel wire brush or abrasive light) because it will naturally oxidized during the slow time of neutralization. (Sheet C): Anti-ALGA hulls metal (steel and aluminum). CONSTRUCTION NEW TREATY W ITH zinc silicate.€After treatment of the work alive with 3 coats of zinc silica te, there are two options: System A: Add two coats with a brush (which makes a t otal of 5 layers) (without prior neutralization not take into account as indicat ed in sheet B. System B: apply our anti-algae Tropic-Alu. Among the zinc silicat e (washed by immersion or fully neutralized) and anti-algae Tropic-Alu use our m etadata Pi Bis (2 hands). Advantages of the system A-anti-algae very safe, inexp ensive and easy to implement. NOTE: If two hands have passed long after the orig inal three hands, you should wash (with lye followed by St Marc good rinsing) fi nish before the new application (without neutralization; disregard as indicated in sheet B). Drawbacks of the system A-anti-soiling slightly lower than that of our system B, in certain waters. Advantages of the system B-anti-algae "all wate r" (and without the slightest risk of electrolysis). Disadvantages of B-treatmen t system more expensive and very difficult to adhere to the zinc silicate that h as never been submerged. Note: if you had opted for this method know that it is virtually impossible to return to the system without a new blasting and its new basic treatment. Observations: Statistically, 70% of our customers prefer A syst em, very safe, simple, inexpensive and great resistance to abrasion that allows all cleaning dock you want. These cleaning, even with stiff brush, even repeat, absolutely not ruin the finish and our customers often run between two tidal or underwater. 30% of Our customers prefer system B, the most versatile plane antidirty. Conclusion: When the coating sub-marine is new, it seems more 'interestin g solution A, if over the next careenages, you judge the anti-dirt poor , you ca n always opt for the solution B. Careening PRECAUTIONS FOR THE BOAT OF A TREATED WITH THE SYSTEM A. When removing the boat from the water, it is important not to dry the algae before removing i t completely: thus it is surprisingly easy cleaning. The best solution is to kee p alive the work thoroughly washed with a jet of water to prevent drying during cleaning. The actual cleaning may be advantageously performed with a high pressu re jet (many stations are equipped with dock), although this does not exclude th e operation to combat the drying with a normal flush, especially if the temperat ure is high. In the choice of anti-algae on metal hulls, should be very careful, do not hesitate to ask for documentation "Meta says, carefully." MORGAZ.doc META - Department anti-corrosion. ORGAZINC - Datasheet. An extract of the Official Gazette: Ministry of Environment. Decree No. 82,782 of 14 weeks. 1982 on the use of marine antifouling paints. • Article 1 i s prohibited coat the hulls of ships and boats whose length is less than 25 mete rs with marine antifouling paints containing organotin compounds. • Article 2 Th e provisions of Article 1 above shall not apply to vessels and boats where the h ull is built of light alloy. INTERNATIONAL LAW. A: Anglo-Saxon countries: It is very strict: antifouling paints based on tin (organotin) have banned not only fo r the use but also for the sale (United Kingdom, USA, etc..) Without further com ment. B: Other Western Tin paints are generally tolerated in protecting the alum inum hulls, more rarely, they are also for steel hulls, to the extent that, of c ourse, these boats are not in areas stazionino ostreocoltura. All this means ver

y clearly: one for vessels in steel: • All paints are now banned pond (France an d many other Western countries). • What alternatives are therefore the owners? A nswer: • A: the copper-based antifouling paints (very dangerous solution to the risk of electrolysis). • B: inorganic zinc silicate paint corrosion in aqueous p hase (anti-electrolysis solution tested) whose antifouling properties are more l imited but sufficient. Extremely resistant to abrasion, they allow many cleaning between two careenages (between two tides or submerged). 2 for vessels Alloy: t in paints are tolerated (Disallowed in the major Anglo-Saxon). What alternatives are therefore the owners? Answer: • Some paints tin, but beware, not all are su itable, if they are too full of metallic pigments they attack the alloy (ask MET A). • B antifouling paints based on copper (radical solution to pierce a hull !. ..) • C anticorrosive paints inorganic zinc silicate in aqueous phase (anti-elec trolysis solution tested) whose antifouling properties are more limited but suff icient. Extremely resistant to abrasion, they allow many cleaning between two ca reenages (between two tides or submerged). Why the legislature would choose a so lution ideal antifouling at antielettrolisi? Why compromise the effectiveness of anti-electrolysis + + anti-pollution there. It has therefore had to digest the protection of recreational craft to that of large steel vessels, they are protec ted with antifouling paints based on copper. Why the big ships are protected with antifouling paints based on copper? • • • • • • 1 Because the ratio price-effectiveness of this solution is good. 2 diesel fuel has become very expensive, and besides a dirty hull huge consumption, is therefo re attentive to the maximum antifouling performance, except take risks quantifia ble. 3 Since the rates of Slipway and immobilization of large units is very high , you can lengthen the time between two careenages exploitation of ships using t he copper-based antifouling. 4 The large ships are built with very thick plates. €5 Their cathodic protection is super-powerful and specific systems (current tax ). 6 And finally, without accounts, the duration of exploitation of large ships is not eternal; the limit, it is only a few small attacks. WARNING Know that all antifouling used on large ships and approved by the Minist ries and public shipping companies are based on copper or heavy metals, and thei r motivations are explained, but these products are absolutely suitable for recr eational craft. We also know that retailers of paints for pleasure boats often u rge you to use the paints based on copper since in most cases they do not know t he precise motivations of owners of large ships: they will tell you, for example , that antifouling that is suitable for boats of metal since it is used by that company on the freighter. This confusion is unfortunately very common, and it ju st causes so many accidents on electrolysis. Finally, because these paintings to copper are inexpensive, the temptation of buying and selling is very strong. CA UTION: BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE "NEW" Antifouling! As we explained previously, the c ompromise effect electrolysis + + anti-anti-pollution does not exist for the ant ifouling protection of metals. Some manufacturers offer some time, a "new genera tion" of antifouling clean and they say "no danger" or "no great danger" for bot h aluminum and steel. A "shade" on which we could discuss for hours! But nothing changes because this "new generation" is made from copper oxides, but not by co pper thiocyanate, copper salts that are actually less aggressive to the metals t han conventional oxides. However, manufacturers recommend more conscientious wit h a strong emphasis corrosion protection very seriously. Other, more subtle, tea se the customer with a commercial document pompous but many camping reservations on their technical documents. Finally, others newcomers on the market dell'anti fouling, appear singularly imprudent and a miracle. In any event, and the bad lu ck of the boaters, the new generation of antifouling slide a lot of ink, particu

larly among lawyers and courts. Weigh in March 1989. MTROPALU.doc TROPIC-ALU A really efficient antifouling available now. Main specific uses: • hull vessels alloy. • bases alloy engine outboard, Z-drive , sail drive, etc.. Other specific uses: • hull vessels in steel, ferrocement. O ther possible uses: • all the works of living craft in wood, fiberglass, etc.. o n which bodies underwater metal must be protected from electrolysis damage (dama ge due to the presence of copper pigments, 99% of members antifouling). The spec ific wording of Tropic-Alu can use either one, two or three coats depending on p erformance requirements. • 1 hand undiluted antifouling protection * Minimum • 2 mani1a little diluted effective antifouling protection • * • 3 second undiluted diluted mani1a tropical antifouling protection • 2nd • 3rd little diluted undil uted * * The dilution may be desirable if, at the time of ' application, the tem perature is too high. Tropic-Alu retains all its power, also exposed to ultraviolet light or natural w eathering, where the vessels treated are left to dry. Tropic-Alu I avoid buying products for the water line, so we recommend its application to + or - 15 .. 20 cm from the waterline. Alu-tropic sun comes in two colors: black and white (for better appearance of the boats whose works are dark death). The black color is s till recommended for two reasons: a better photosynthesis, so most effectively. 2 protection against pollution of ports that stains the floating zone. USE Preparation works live: Boating steel or aluminum treated with zinc silicate which have already been immersed naked: • cleaning with high pressure water (an d light sanding if necessary). • 1 hand Metadhere Pi Bis for a hand-Tropic Alu • 1 or 2 coats of Bis Metadhere Pi to 2 coats of Tropic-Alu • 2 or 3 coats of Bis Metadhere Pi for 3 hands-Tropic Aluminium boats than any other material that th ey have already used another type of antifouling: • High pressure water cleaning and polishing anti-fouling out, if necessary. • 1, 2 or 3 coats of Tropic-Alu d irectly, or with an appropriate background (consult factory). Other special case s: please consult us. • • • • The product is sold in cans 0.75 liters ready. You must still stir well before a pplication. Optimum temperature of application: 20. C Hygrometry optimal impleme ntation: 60%. Recommended application tools: brush (preferred), airless spray gu n, pneumatic gun. Drying at 20. C • Tack: 20 minutes • Dry: 40 minutes • Hard: 60 minutes • Cover: 3 hours minimum. Storage in sealed jars: 3 years (the date of manufacture is st amped on the cans). Note: Some people may be affected by toxic substances contai ned in the paint (irritation of the skin and mucous membranes). Bring in this ca se the glasses and paper masks of protection and, if necessary, protect your fac e and hands with a sunscreen. The load voluntarily limited tin salts incorporate d into a ligand (specific chlorinated rubber) classifies Tropic-Alu family of ma rine antifouling paints containing organotin compounds (butyl tin tree = TBT), i ts continued use on the French coast is thus reserved for boats alloy.
