Pre-calibration

1. Power Off MPFM.

2. Open the Smart Board enclosure. Disconnect the wires that are coming from the driver to theTB1
terminals. Put electric tape at the end of the wires to prevent accidental short circuit.
3. Set SW1-1, on the top assembly, to the ON position and the rest to the off position.
4. Connect wire jumpers between TB1 pins 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23.Connect the positive lead
of a loop calibrator (Druck) to TB1-23 and the negative lead to TB1-4. If a loop calibrator cannot
be obtained, a power supply will work just fine so long as you measure 1.00V for 4mA and
5.00V for 20mA.Channels 0-3 are calibrated to milliamps while channels 4-6 are calibrated to
volts.
5. Connect a volt meter across the loop calibrator (Druck).
6. Ensure pins 3-4, and no others, on headers 420GND and 420PWR are jumpered on the top
assembly.
7. Power on the MPFM
8. In the AgarDAS go to the Coriolis diagnostics screen and follow the calibration instructions from
the Calibration Mode menu.

Calibration - Analog Inputs

9. Set the loop calibrator (Druck) for internal power and current output.
10. Set the Druck output to 4mA.
11. Select the Low Calibration Point located in the Calibration Mode menu.
12. Set the Druck to give a 4 mA output and calibrate channels 0 through 3 to 4.0 mA
13. Calibrate channels 4 through 6 to the voltage reading on the Voltmeter.
14. Select the High Calibration Point located in the Calibration Mode menu.
15. Set the Druck to 20mA.
16. Calibrate channels 0 through 3 to 20.0 mA.
17. Calibrate channels 4 through 6 to the voltage reading on the Voltmeter.
18. Disconnect the Druck and Voltmeter from the assembly
19. Power off the MPFM
20. Remove all the jumpers from TB1_11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23. Reconnect the wires from the
driver.
21. Return the SW1-1 switches to the original positions. Ensure that the 420GND and 420PWR
jumpers are at their original settings.
22. Power on the MPFM and close the Smart Board enclosure
