CHOLESTEROL IS A MYTH (It’s an invented disease) Good health. Long life. 4th Floor, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati (02) 757-3335 * (0917) 892-0790 www.raphahealth.ph Cris Enriquez, M.D., FAACEXPERIENCE ONDAMED A better way to make you better (((ONDAMED ))) Diagnostic and Therapeutic Tool @ Used by Physician worldwide. e Safe, non-invasive Clinically proven technology. @ 15 years experience with thousand of patients.Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Cardiology CHOLESTEROLIS A MYTH Cholesterol is an invented disease that did not exist before and does not exist now. This is the real story. People were brainwashed to believe that cholesterol caused all kinds of problems specifically cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. @ This warning was based solely on the paper published not by a doctor or the health department but by a nutritionist, named Ancel Keys who made a theory, an opinion or haka-haka called "lipid hypothesis" claiming that dietary fats were linked to heart disease.Dr. Cris Enriquez American-Trained Cardiologist and a The U.S. government, upon the advice of the Dietary Advisory Committee and based on the guidelines developed by the American Heart Association, started warning people about the "dangers" of cholesterol especially of eating eggs. The egg industry suffered a tremendous loss of revenue but rebounded when people started to buy eggs again but tossing away the yolk and eating the white part only. This trend became so fashionable that it actually was "cool" to be seen eating just an egg white omelet. And when you add a vegetable bacon then you become an elite person eating a no-yolk-no-real- bacon diet. Cholesterol is a mythDistinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Cardiology ™ Following the impetuous acceptance of the “lipid hypothesis," two real experts in lipid biochemistry, Sally Fallon and Mary Enig made an astounding discovery that cholesterol is actually just an "invented disease," a problem that emerged only when people learned how to measure cholesterol in the blood. MAn idea came to the entrepreneurs and warned people of the dangers of cholesterol. Drugs to lower cholesterol were developed producing an industry that has a revenue of at least $50 billion dollars a year. It’s an invented disease. 3Dr. Cris Enriquez American-Trained Cardiologist and a M™ The normal level of cholesterol started at 400 mg in 1961 then this normal was reduced to 350, to 300, to 250 then to 200 and there are now rumors that this will even go down to 150. M@ An interesting observation - every time the normal level was reduced, there was a corresponding increase in the sales of the drugs. This is a curiosity! i Another interesting observation - studies have shown that 53-73% of people with heart attacks have normal levels of cholesterol. So there must be something else that cause(s) these problems but its not the cholesterol. Cholesterol is a mythDistinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Cardiology @ fa The Dietary Advisory Committee meets every 5 years to study how to keep Americans healthy. In their meeting of 2009, there were no changes made. In 2013, both the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology started to have second thoughts and viewed the evidence against cholesterol as weak. In December 2014, at the last meeting of the Dietary Advisory Committee, they have formally decided that cholesterol is not bad for us and they have recommended so to the US FDA. This was published by the Washington Post this last February 2015 and the US lt’s an invented disease. 5Dr. Cris Enriquez American-trained cardiologist government is poised to announce their change of position regarding this, but will wait to announce it until December 2015. They will withdraw their long-standing warning against cholesterol and egg consumption. The words that they will use - cholesterol is not bad after all. Why they don't announce it now and wait until the end of the year is another curiosity. Here are the facts: i Since the mid 1990's, Rapha Health Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA and later also in Miami, has been advising patients not to be afraid of cholesterol and to stop taking Cholesterol is a mythand a distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Cardiology drugs that lower cholesterol. Patients were encouraged to eat eggs including the yolk. © Cholesterol is not bad for you; it is good for you. ™ Without cholesterol, we cannot exist. Itis essential for life. M We need at least 35 grams of cholesterol in our body. M It is usually found in cell membranes of our more than 100 trillion cells. ! Cholesterol is needed in a lot of biochemical processes in our body including memory, neurological and even sexual functions. It’s an invented disease. 7Dr. Cris Enriquez American-Trained Cardiologist and a f@ It is needed in the biosynthesis of steroid hormones, bile acids and Vitamin D. [™ About 80% of cholesterol is made by the liver, and diet has no bearing to the blood levels. When only small amount of cholesterol is ingested, the liver produces more; when more is ingested, the liver produces less. The liver determines the blood cholesterol level, not the diet. m™ Most ingested cholesterol is esterified and most esterified cholesterol is poorly absorbed. m There is only one type of cholesterol - total cholesterol. li There is no such thing as good 8 Cholesterol is a mythDistinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Cardiology (HDL) or bad (LDL) cholesterol. These guys are not cholesterol, they are lipoproteins. Another misinformation. M It is true that arterial plaques have cholesterol - the reason is not because it is trying to clog the arteries, it is trying to heal them, because cholesterol is necessary for healing to occur. Are eggs good or bad? They are very good, the perfect food. The nutrients in eggs are the following: © Vitamin A - it maintains the skin, immune system and normal vision. © Vitamin B2 or Riboflavin - it aids in energy metabolism, reb blood cells, vision and nervous system, It’s an invented disease. 9Dr. Cris Enriquez American-Trained Cardiologist and a 10 & i | a ie a Vitamin BS or Pantothenic acid aids in energy metabolism and mental functions.
