Gauge is firm at 10

on 3.5 needles for a
5cm square.

Tin Shed Yarns use only naturally coloured
fleeces from small flocks. Wool is spun by
hand in the grease, then washed.

This classic beanie is knitted from the top down. You can
change colours as you wish. Four triangular panels form the tinshedyarn.blogspot.co.nz

crown and the body is worked without increases to a rib-stitch
edge. This beanie is worked flat and then seamed. Will fit
adults and teenagers.

Cast-on 8 stitches.

ABBREVIATIONS

RS Right Side (Knit stitch side.)
WS Wrong Side(Purl stitch side)
K Knit
P Purl
K,p Knit, purl continuously. This makes ribbing for the edge.
M1 Make one. This is an increase stitch.
Slm Slip Marker
Plm Place Marker

Notes:
Rows 20 to 45 are worked as knit on Right Side and purl on Wrong side
Rows 46-59 are worked as ribbing. Take care to keep the pattern going when working from the purl side.

Increases are written as M1. You may use whatever increase method you prefer. Increasing as if to cast-on is the easiest with this wool.
Change colour when you wish. I suggest leaving colour changes until all increases are finished.
