Inspirational Bible Quotes on Belief and Faith

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17 NKJV)
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those
who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will
of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13 NKJV)
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. (John 6:47 NKJV)
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He
is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 NKJV)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all
things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Verses on Love
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also
love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one
another. (John 13:34-35 NKJV)
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His
commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His
commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 5:2-3 NKJV)
If you love Me, keep My commandments. (John 14:15 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Quotes from the Bible on Scripture
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the
patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4 NKJV)
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly
equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalms 119:105 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Verses on Prayer
―Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be
opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV)
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He
hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions
that we have asked of Him. (1 John 5:14-15 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Quotes on Patience
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your
faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and
complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4 NKJV)
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose
heart. (Galatians 6:9 NKJV)
Inspirational Verses from the Bible on the Holy Spirit
For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be
opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he
asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer
him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much
more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11:10-13
NKJV)
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all
things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My
peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid. (John 14:26-27 NKJV)
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in
hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Verses on Witnessing
―You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then
good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. ―You are the light of the
world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a
basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew
5:13-16 NKJV)
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who
asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience,
that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be
ashamed. (1 Peter 3:15-16 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Quotes about Charity
Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD
will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver
him to the will of his enemies. (Psalms 41:1-2 NKJV)
He who despises his neighbor sins; But he who has mercy on the poor, happy is he. (Proverbs
14:21 NKJV)
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running
over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured
back to you.‖ (Luke 6:38 NKJV)
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Verses on Trials and Persecution
But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:
―Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you
pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isaiah
43:1-2 NKJV)
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of
heaven. ―Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against
you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for
so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:10-12 NKJV)
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall
preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. (Psalms
121:7-8 NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Quotes on Forgiveness
But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be
great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. ―Judge not, and you shall not be
judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give,
and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will
be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
(Luke 6:35-38 NKJV)
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave
you. (Ephesians 4:31-32 NKJV)
Praise According to the Bible
I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart. (Psalms 40:8 NKJV)
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there
is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8
NKJV)
Inspirational Bible Quotes on Unity
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one
will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help
him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not
quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NKJV)
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the
same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in
the same mind and in the same judgment. (1 Corinthians 1:10 NKJV)
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
(Matthew 18:20 NKJV)
Perseverance and the Bible
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His
divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge
of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and
precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped
the corruption that is in the world through lust.
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness
brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you
will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:2-8
NKJV)
The Beginning of Glory
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by
various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that
perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of
Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing,
you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the
salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:6-9 NKJV)
The End of Sin
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, ―Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and
He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be
their God.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow,
nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.‖ (Revelation
21:3-4 NKJV)

Encouraging Bible Verses with a Message
by Christopher S. Esty on December 15, 2008
Just as the Word of God is filled with encouraging Bible verses, so also should our hearts be
filled with His promises. For during trying moments when we are in need of an encouraging
word we can be certain to find comfort in those Bible verses that we have learned to meditate on
and commit to memory. With that said, I would like to share some encouraging Bible verses with
you now, along with an uplifting message. May your time here prove to be an encouraging
experience as you meditate on what I am about to share with you.
Encouraging Scriptures to Remember
―Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous
to be moved.‖ (Psalms 55:22 NKJV)
―Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the
ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power
to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint
and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall
renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be
weary, They shall walk and not faint.‖ (Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV)
―God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even
though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.‖ (Psalms
46:1-3 NKJV)
―I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.‖ (John 14:18 NKJV)
―The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who
know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek
You.‖ (Psalms 9:9-10 NKJV)
―The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.‖
(Nahum 1:7 NKJV)
―Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed
for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.‖ (Psalms
126:5-6 NKJV)
―And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are
the called according to His purpose.‖ (Romans 8:28 NKJV)
―Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you
pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I
am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior…‖ (Isaiah 43:1-3 NKJV)
―Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed
away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming
down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud
voice from heaven saying, ―Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with
them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God
will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.‖ (Revelation 21:1-4
NKJV)
―The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious
to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.‖ (Numbers 6:24-26
NKJV)
An Encouraging Message
―And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.‖
(Philippians 4:19 NKJV)
Without a doubt, Paul was a man who had great faith! He understood what it meant to go
through hard times, and knew God well enough to believe that he could depend on Him to
deliver him from anything that the enemy would throw at him. He knew what it meant to be
abased and to abound, to be full and to be hungry, and to suffer need. Yet in everything he would
say, ―I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.‖ (Philippians 4:12-13 NKJV)
Can you say the same? What does your life say about Jesus Christ? Do you find your experience
with Him to be encouraging? Better yet, are you encouraged in Christ right now? If not, why?
Do you think your problem is greater than God? There’s a tendency to worry about what life will
be like if we give up our plans for God, as if to assume that He won’t replace them with
something better. But I think that rather than worrying about what life will be like without our
worldly pursuits we should consider what Jesus gave up for us. After all, what He gave up for us
was far greater a sacrifice than anything that we could ever give up for Him; for He gave His life
for us, a people who essentially hated Him. Many wouldn’t even do that for those who love
them.
It’s really tragic when you think about it, but encouraging knowing that He loves us so deeply!
For He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world didn’t know Him;
He came to His own, and His own didn’t receive Him, but crucified Him instead. Thus God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:7-8 NKJV) And here’s the irony: when Paul spoke the words, ―my God shall supply
all of your need‖, he was in chains as a result of walking with God. Yet he was a free man
because he was in Christ, which explains why he was filled with joy even though he was in
chains for preaching the gospel.
Perhaps you’re going through some fiery trial right now, and feel that you’re carrying a burden
that’s just too heavy to bear. You might even feel like giving up. Perhaps you feel like nobody
cares about you enough to take the time to understand what you’re going through. Well, Jesus
has something to say to you:
―Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are
many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am,
there you may be also.‖ (John 14:1-3 NKJV)
Not only does Jesus know who you are, He loves you, and wants to be with you forever. Indeed,
the world will promise you many things; and you can even try to prosper in it. Worldly pleasure
may make you feel good for a moment; however, it will ultimately leave you feeling empty,
because it can’t give you what is needed most, that is, love. Only God can do that, because God
is love. Moreover it is quite clear from what’s happening around us that the world is not the
solution to our problems; rather, Jesus Christ is. And ―neither death nor life, nor angels nor
principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any
other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord. (Romans 8:38-39 NKJV)
Will you accept what Jesus wants for you? Will you let Him usher you into a brighter life, and a
more encouraging experience with God? Don’t let the devil cause you to feel like you are
worthless. You are not worthless in God’s eyes. For you belong to the King of kings and Lord
of lords–Jesus Christ. That’s right; you’re a child of the King! Therefore, stand up and praise
Him! Be encouraged! For our God is righteous; and He will deliver us from all evil in due time.
