maintenance of private sites. Examples of such customers are supermarkets or marts. QDVC
does not have many private customers.

These are relatively large customers and are the owners of factories, private companies
etc.

External Factors
Political:
Most of the contracts are provided by the government. Change in political landscape can
result in lesser contracts. Moreover, change in political landscape will result in change of policies
for construction industry.
Economical:
Qatar has the highest GDP per capita income in the world. People are
spending more on housing, shopping and entertainment. Entertainment places such
as amusement parks etc.
Technological:
Technological changes can deeply affect QDVC because there is a major influence of
technology in construction industry. High-tech machines are getting invented on regular
intervals. Construction projects are adopting latest high-tech system. So, QDVC should remain
updated with technology to satisfy customers.
Environmental:
Environmental changes have a deep impact on construction companies. Due to damaging
environment, governments are stressing construction companies to come up with environmental
friendly construction projects. Qatar has made a plan of 2030 in which the government aims to
make the country sustainable. Therefore, many construction companies are now focusing on
using renewable energy.
HR Department. This department is responsible for looking after all the affairs of
employees. From hiring and firing to job evaluation and managing payroll, this department is
responsible for all of it.
Finance Department. This department is responsible for managing all the financial
affairs of the company. Financial affairs such as allocation of budget, payment to vendors,
payment to employees, preparing annual reports etc fall under the umbrella of this department.
Local Projects Department. This department is responsible for looking after all the local
projects. It is responsible for evaluating whether a project is working according to companys
promises.
Functions Work Together To Optimize Performance
To optimize performance, all departments should work together in the same direction. To
make all the department work in the same direction, the company focuses highly on maintaining
a good communication system to make all departments know what is expected of them. Unity of
