THE MISTREATMENT OF WOMEN

Abstract

Women have experienced gender based on the sole fact that they were women which is a

problem that needs to be solved because having someone be discriminated against only because

of their gender or sex is something that is not acceptable. We not only gain more information

about the subject in general overall but it also gives us knowledge of ideas about how to help

solve the problem. Having gender-based violence as a problem is something that we need to

solve because helping empower women is going to help stop this even if it is little by little. By

helping women become the solution is one step in the right direction and with all the information

that I have gathered here on this paper it helps identify that. Having this paper helps us see the

fact that having women be respected and help make a change in the world. This paper helps point

out the problems with having women be abused and helps you see the effects on women and

how we can help.

Gender Based Violence

THE MISTREATMENT OF WOMEN

Showing people that women really are in trouble is on easy thing because of the fact that
the number speaks for itself, and 3% of the earth's population is 225,000,000, which is the
number of women who have experienced gender based violence before age 18, according to the
UNdata records. Women from the Philippines to places like Developed regions have over 2.0%
female abused records. Having developing regions already have a 2% in something like gender
based violence shouldn't even be a thing because it just shows how women keep being mistreated
and how they aren't the ones to blame for not having an option because they were forced into that
lie mostly by someone who was inconsiderate and just mentally ill. Females are being abused yet
they are not getting justice for what happens to them and they get bashed on because of it. This
means that because of either not enough evidence that the accused are punished or that in their
region they have made it so common that now people just dismiss the fact that the accused
should be punished. All of this helps us see that women need help even after they get out of an
abusive situation.

Women have been treated so unfair and because of it, even after they are free from the
violence that they went through they still suffer from things like being traumatized and even just
being Emotionally threatened . Women experience trauma based of things like, how they were
treated and or how they saw other women being threatened. This behavior has been not yet seen
as something that is entirely wrong, making it an even bigger problem that before. Women
sometimes even experience gender based violence more than once in their lives which is
something that alone should say something. Having women experience gender based violence
once is bad enough but now they also are more likely to experience it twice or even more. Lastly,
talking about how many women have to live with the fact that sometimes they are even
threatened with their children or pulling at their morals to see how far they can go to make a
women do what they want her to do. Having a women experience a moral decision like that is
inhumane yet men do that to women all the time . With all these things that can affect women,
there are ways to help stop things like this to happen, one step at a time if needed.

Women have always been treated poorly but there are ways to help prevent this from stopping,
one person at a time if needed. According to one.org, some ways to reduce gender based
violence is to end forced marriages and things like equality to be promoted at school and to
teach people about things like this. One way to support this idea is to teach a class at schools
about the importance that women have on the world & show what women are capable of.
Women are not the problem as to why there is so much violence, they are actually the ones who
also have power to do something, even though they might not think they can, there are different
women who have experienced gender based violence or not. talking about how you could help
women everywhere by becoming a member of one.org and how you can actually help if you're
not interested in helping that way. Even if you can't help someone personally you can help with

many other things so that even if it's little by little the problem gets solved. Even though women
might not be the only ones facing this problem, they have been the main focus because they have
been the main target.

Not only women are being victims of gender based violence but they have become the ones to
suffer the most in all of this. Some might say that even though 3% is a big number, it was 2 years
ago when now it could be less, but yet thanks to the UN women website, it has stated that 35% of
women worldwide have actually suffered from gender based violence. Women are suffering even
after having been victims of gender based violence and people could argue that there are
rehabilitation centers but even with that, something so traumatizing can't just be erased out of
your memories. People could state that since some of this isn't happening where they live, that
they shouldn't worry about something like this but the truth is that the percent is rising because
people aren't turning their backs to causes that could help women beat gender based violence.
With all of this, I would say that it helps prove that women, although not the only ones, are the
ones that we should be helping first so that the world can move on to other things more united.

Gender based violence affects women physically and emotionally. 3% of women worldwide have
experienced sexual violence before age 18. Showing people that women really are in trouble is
on easy thing because of the fact that the number speaks for itself because it is something that
should not even be a percentage. Women have been treated so unfair and because of it, even after
they are free from the violence that they went through they still suffer from things like being
traumatized and even just being Emotionally threatened. Women have always been treated
poorly but there are ways to help prevent this from stopping, one person at a time if needed.
