Fort Hays State University kicks off freshman pre-enrollment

HAYS, Kan.- The Office of Transition and Student Conduct and the orientation leader

team are ready to kick off freshman pre-enrollment. After weeks of training and preparation for

the welcoming of new student on campus, freshman pre-enrollment is set to begin on Apr. 22.

Students and parents from across the states of Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas will arrive

on campus to begin their journey as Fort Hays State University Tigers.

Freshman pre-enrollment will take place in various locations across FHSU’s campus. The

day will officially kick off with an opening ceremony in Beach Schmidt Performing Arts Center

in Sheridan Hall.

The ceremony speakers will include the Vice President of Student Affairs, Director of

Transition and Student Conduct, and the President of Student Government Association. The

ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. Students and parents will also be introduced to the various

activities that will be going on throughout the day.

The ceremony will be proceeded by a panel in which students and parents can ask

question to the orientation leader team. Students will then be directed by their academic

departments to begin the enrollment process with their faculty advisors.
The day is scheduled to end with a browsing fair of student organizations on campus at

2:45 p.m.
