REPORT
From 27-th November until 3-rd December, 2016 in The Republic of Bulgaria,
Kindergarten Lubimka implemented a meeting Short-term staff training (C1).
- Activity: Learning, teaching and presentation on project Good Start, Grow Smart.
Erasmus+ program , School education (KA219).
Delegations from five countries attended on the meeting- from Estonia (3 persons),
from Italy (2 persons), from Romania (3 persons), from Turkey (4 persons) and from
France (3 persons). Total 15 guests and 12 teachers from Kindergarten Lubimka.
Agenda:
The children from 3-rd A prepared, 3-rd B prepared and 4-th prepared groups arranged
Tangram with seven tani, different shapes and figures, they played sea chess and bingo,
they grouped subjects and competed in solving practice tasks. By different learning strategies
with activities and playing operations are developed new ideas for applying of effective
methods for teaching in stimulating cognitive surroundings. They contribute for qualitative
education and development of key competencies for the children. The training situations are
captured the movies on DVD- Soil our game- math hurrah!
The children from all groups in the kindergarten 29, Dobrich city met with the participants
from the visiting delegations. The children presented their creative skills and talents- with
Bulgarian folklore and funny dances, songs and competitive games.
The teachers from Estonia, Italy, Romania, Turkey and France, together with the children
from Bulgaria participated in funny and training role games, organized by the Bulgarian
teachers. The aim was to make popular the applying of active methods for math and science
learning in the kindergarten. This learning is based on educational strategies and projects with
children in pre-school age. In the planning educational process in mathematics the children
showed that they are active learners and experimenters which they receive qualitative
knowledge and skills helping their personal potential.
The visiting guests and pedagogical team of kindergarten Lubimka worked together.
They shared pedagogical experience and good practices for making educational surroundings
and giving of Good Start for intelligent children. All of the participants are unanimous that
the childrens mathematical knowledge from pre-school age is a start with big significance for
the future success when the education starts.
In cooperation and working together, teachers from six countries shared experience for
optimization of the knowledge process, applying of good practices and pedagogical skills for
work with the children. This helped the teachers to use innovative methods and technologies,
replying of the challenge for qualitative training, development and applying of good practices
and developing of key competences in the children.
When the partners presented their popular, traditional, funny and musical games, we
acquainted with unique cultural, traditions and custom s from different countries in the frames
of European educational space. We understood that the teaching of the mathematical
knowledge in the games are similar in different European cultures.
In the spirit of the new Law for pre- school and school education accepted on
01.08.2016, the participants acquainted with the legislative frame of Bulgarian educational
system and in particular the of Pre- school education in the Republic of Bulgaria.
The participants visited the Secondary School Ljuben Karavelov. The schools
headmaster, miss Svetla Ivanova presented in front of the guests a presentation Bulgarian
educational system and mathematic lesson with students from elementary educational stage
using educational software technologies Jumpido, Envision and Bee-bots.
The participants visited also the Secondary School Dimitar Talev. The visiting
delegations were met by the students with traditional folk dances and songs. We watched a
mathematic lesson with using of special developing software Mosaic by Microsoft. That
way the lesson converted in interactive, interesting and very funny for the children. Miss
Vesela Pancheva, the schools headmaster presented the schools development. She shared
experience for work on projects of sector program Komenius and Erasmus+. Miss
Pancheva pointed that their partners are over 100 schools in all Europe.
II. Working meeting on the project. It was considered the next questions:
Miss Aurora Slivilescu thanked to all the participants for expending labour, creative-work and
efforts for logos making. She announced the results from voting and congratulated the
winner- the Italian team. The logo, made by Italian children and their teachers became
projects logo Good Start, Grow Smart.
II.2 We discussed the planning activities in the period from December, 2016 until March,
2017, upcoming task and allocation of responsibilities: sharing and disseminating of the
materials by the training in the projects site by Estonia, in the E-twining space by all
countries; preparing of video for the training by Bulgaria, training mathematic games on by
Bulgaria; sending of the presentations to Italy; making of the New Year Cards by all countries
for all partners.
II.3 The French delegation presented an invitation card by the Minister of Education in France
about the upcoming meeting in Odeon theatre in Paris on 09 -th January, 2017. The celebrations
are on the occasion of the 30 anniversary of Erasmus program in Paris. Sophie Roque
suggested Nicoleta Del Ray, partner from Italy to join to their delegation and together to
present the project Good Start, Grow Smart. Sophie Roque said that 30 years ago Erasmus
program has shaken Europe with new ideas for exchange of knowledge and good practices.
Erasmus program is a smiling face, general European destiny, personification of a success and
cooperation between countries and popular of Europe.
II.4 The partners considered the organization for the next meeting in Estonia and requirements
sharing by Karin Kutt.
- The guests visited town of Pliska. The delegations visited the first Bulgarian capitals
excavations and the biggest Basilic in Europe to 10 century.
- There they visited The yard of Cyrillic alphabet and the Museum of Bulgarian
alphabet. Our colleagues acquainted with the Cyrillic alphabet as universal and easily
recognizable symbol of the ld Bulgarian alphabet.
- When the guests visited The Madara Rider, they watched the movie The creators
of the Bulgarian country.
- We visited also The Rocky Aladza Monastery.
Our partners acquainted with the cultural and historical inheritance of Dobrich city.
- In open air Ethnographic Museum The Old Dobrich, they visited Regional Historical
Museum and The National-Revival School and Ethnographic House.
- The guests visited also The Regional Library Dora Gabe. There children congratulated
them with Bulgarian national dances by National Dancing Club Folk Dances. The
colleagues saw the childrens section of the library. They watched also a movie for
Dobrich city and for the region Dobrich and the Dobrudzas gold.
Doctor Emilia Baeva, deputy- mayor of sector Education handed the certifications for
short-term staff training to the guests in the Municipality of Dobrich.
V Results and decisions. The training on project Good Start, Grow Smart, Erasmus +
program, School education sector /KA219/ in Republic of Bulgaria, Kindergarten 29
Lubimka, Dobrich city passed in spirit of cooperation, professional and on high level.
The transnational meeting was covered in the regional mass medias.
1 Improving of the literacy and education quality by mathematical learning and science
in the kindergarten. In the educational process, the children gain competences which
are basis for their success in the next educational stage.
2 To develop high quality and accessible in Early Childhood Education. The early
mathematics knowledge is a good reference point for prognostication the future
successes in the school.
3 To revise and strength the professional profile of the teaching professions. To improve
the schools approaches and teaching methods towards attaining and developing skills
in science and math. To encourage teachers to introduce innovations. The math
develops the cognitive thinking, the intellect and childrens imagination. In the
educational process, the children gain competences which are basis for their success in
the next educational stage.
4 Developing of better strategies for learning in all schools and kindergartens by the
participating European countries.
5 To exchange experiences and good practices.
6 work and cooperation. Children, teachers and parents have to acquaint with
cultural differences of European countries.
7 Improving the intercultural relations and cooperation for overcoming the prejudices
and stereotypes; for respecting cultural and religious diversities; for good interpersonal
relations and tolerance.
Decisions:
1 To introduce the projects logo Good Start, Grow Smart in all documents, products
and activities on the project.
2 To disseminate the training materials:
- on the projects site by Estonia;
- in E- twinning space by all countries
3 To make a DVD for the mathematics training in Bulgaria, Short- term staff training
(C1) and Training mathematics games by Bulgarian team.
