Back in Romania!

March, 2017

Hello from Romania, again! Its so good to be home here! It is where I have lived for the last 6 years so it really is
home for me! I arrived here 2 weeks ago yesterday, Thursday, February 23. I have been so busy it is hard to believe
it was only 2 weeks ago that I arrived back!

A very dear friend, Claudiu drove my car to Bucharest to pick me up at the airport. I have known him for 5 years; he
is now in his last year of university in Timisoara. He brought a new friend to me, Alex, but a friend of his for a few
months. Alex was not a believer, but on Saturday night we watched the film Gods Not Dead, Alex trusted Jesus as
his Savior! God is working in the heart of Alex, please pray for him. We took him to church here in Craiova on Sunday
of that weekend, drove to Timisoara and took him to church there that evening. He has a Bible, he is praying before
he sleeps and before he eats. Below left is Alex with me and below right is Alex and Claudiu.

Both of the above photos were taken with the digital camera I was given! I am trusting that all the photos taken
this year will be much better and very well focused. Thanks to Bill for the incredible gift for our ministry here!

Monday of this week, I drove to Bucharest to pickup a dear friend from Virginia. Leon Caldwell has coached high
school basketball for 42 years! He is 75 years old, 10 years older than me! He is staying with us for 2 weeks to
prepare for the arrival of the rest of his team on March 18. We have spent 4 days preparing for the ministry they do in
Craiova. They go into high schools and teach basketball skills to students. They will have 200-300 students! At the
end of the week they will have a rally to present the Gospel to the students they work with during the week. This is the

3 time they have been here in 3.5 years. We have a very full schedule prepared for the team! Please pray for this
group as they prepare, fly over here on March 18. The ministry will take place March 20-25. They partner with Alpha
& Omega Baptist Church and pastor Constatin Burlacu. Next month you will see photos from that week of ministry.

The 2 weekend here I was at a young peoples meeting in the village of Voloiac on Friday evening with my number 1
helper, Ionut and his pastor, there were about 40 young people there. The next evening Saturday, was with 100 young
people in Filiasi, about 25 minutes from Craiova where we showed the film Priceless. It was so good to see many
young people who are friends, after being gone for 3 months!

There is still a need for funds for the ministry this summer, $300 per village or $600 per week. We may have the
opportunity to use both vans. It doubles the amount of money and the team members needed. I am very thankful for
those who are giving. As of last week there was $2000.00 in the ministry account. This time of year, taxes are due on
the vehicles, so paid the tax on the van which is about $198.00. Please keep praying for this need. If you are inclined
to give toward the ministry funds, you are welcome to do so!
